This is the regular "find a big who does all the things Bam doesn't do" so we can pay Bam a max just to play defense and catch lobs. Good use of money.
You’re an idiot if you think all bam does is play def and catch lobs
So true
I blame Minnesota giving gobert that ridiculous contract and trade package
Ignorant statement
That’s a ton of money. Love Markannen but would rather use the money to significantly upgrade the back court and let Jovic shine.
Jovic won't be good enough to win a championship as a starter while Jimmy is still here and probably will never be as good as Markannen. Why care about a 21 year old when your best player is 35 and pat is 80? Terry, Duncan and Delon are fine as the backourt rotation (if herro is traded to utah for Markannen), what's not fine is the 4-5 rotation.
10:17. Exactly. Far too expensive as a third. No way
@@derekl9881 And Jovic is too cheap and too bad. Heat got the best coach and one of the best players in the league, so heat should overpay if they have to to get Jimmy some real help. Instead of grinding out every win to get to the finals just to run out of gas in the end.
Lauri as 3rd option for 50M and picks is brutal
Hell no
You know the problem every Heat reporters have. They are too happy to reach the conference finals. Some of us fans sees it what if we try to be better. We need an offensive coach on the bench and keep the help and stop paying the scrubs. We believe if tge Geat were better managed jimmy would have a championship. You run it back you get the same result. When you cant break 90 in 3 playoff games you understand you will not be an nba champ.
👀
You guys keep talking about players that don’t fit especially if we’re trying to win a ring next season smh
You gotta give Will Hardy a lot of credit for how he’s helped Sexton, Markkanen, and even Kris Dunn turn their careers around. One of the reasons why I wouldn’t be too upset if Jovic got dealt for Markkanen is I know he’d remain in good hands.
But I’m still trying to keep Jovic over Jaquez, if I can keep 1. And I’m starting Bam Jovic and Markkanen.
Brandon ingram is the perfect trade low candidate and the fact nobody considers him is ridiculous to me. He would be an immediate answer for everything we need, even as a PG he would be better than Trae Young. I hope Pat riley is smart enough to do this even if none of you are, he hates being on the Pelicans, but he would THRIVE on the Heat, and he would likely be much cheaper than these other stars and operate on Bam's timetable.
As a defender and passer dude is REMARKABLY underrated.
The Jazz also like Caleb Martin, so they can work out a sign and trade to sweeten the deal
if spida stays in cleveland the heat should def look into lauri and trae
exactly a big that can give Bam a breather. When I look around the league every team has a player that can attack the rim except the Heat. In 2024 the Heat are scoring 80 points in a basketball game. That is strictly because we do not have an offense. Spo run the defense but after 4 years fire the offensive coach or get better players or we will get close and never win.
See if mikal bridges is available, if not maybe nic claxton..
This is going to be hard to sit through. I thought the Heat should've tried to get him right after the Utah trade. But this was before Niko.
Did this guy say that Jovic gets Markannen comparisons 😂
No one wanted KP...now everyone wants a unicorn
Jimmy is the 11th highest paid player in the NBA and is 44th in scoring average (making him slightly better than RJ Barrett in this regard during the reg season). We won't win without major changes. I love Jimmy (no Diddy), but somehow they gotta figure out how to get this man help. We seen this build long enough and the conpetition is improving while this build is lagging behind and the star player is declining.
Or maybe jimmy is the problem… ever thought of that
@@JudahIAmKngJimmy is getting older. But he’s the only player good enough on this roster to rise in the playoffs to look like one of the top 5 players in the world at any given moment/ series. You need that to win a title.
Can Niko move to the 3?
Lauri is not worth 50m per year as a 3rd option. Especially if i gotta give up 4 to 5 first round draft picks. Develope jovic. Hes 6"10. Can handle the ball. He shoots the 3 ball at a 40% already at 21 years old. Not a bad defender. Draft devin carter and move herro to the bench. Then add depth at the center and power forward position.
To be fair we would have him for a yr at 18m and furthermore we don’t even know if he’d be eligible for that kindve money, they can’t just hand out max extensions, players need to become eligible based on their performance. I don’t think he’d be our third option, he’s entering his prime and has averaged 23-26 ppg with the Jazz, doubt he would be our third option especially with Jimmy always takin the regular season off.
@@silvernblackproductions9381 your right and we don't even know if he would stay with us. So to give 4 first round picks for a one year rental. Hoping we can resign him because remember we have to pay bam and Jimmy next year. No cap room. You do have a point on him being a better option then a 3rd option but I like rozier and bam to be leading way in scoring but you could be correct. We would have to see how everything worked together.
I can see Bam,Marketin, RozierJJJ,and Duncan in the 24-25 season
They're not beating Boston with that lineup, let alone anyone out west. We also would have no draft picks.
@derekl9881 We have no draft picks now, what 15,and 43. Would love to see that team beat Boston.
If hawks includes bogdan for tyler and duncan.
He’s a gamer!
Danny ainge would never trade him to us
Ya can’t be serious. Why would I bring a player, I would need to pay max and can’t create his own shot? We need a player that can creates a shot. We have too many statues.
Lauri would instantly become the Heats best player
Offensively yes, not overall
The problem with this team is that our two best players want the max and neither are elite scorers. This is a recipe for disaster. We’re too dependent on role players for scoring.
We always overpay and have no assets lol
Jimmy is an elite scorer in the playoffs
@@biggame8743 last sighting of play off Jimmy was last year playoffs during the Knicks series before he got injured. Teams are defending him better and he’s no longer getting to the line as frequently as before. Not sure he’s an elite scorer if he can’t get to the free throw line.
Lauri M is a great addition. BUT we already have a younger version of Lauri M, with more upside. I kinda remember his name rhymes with Jokic..
Jokic does not have the athleticism
He can play the point guard position at 6’11, how is he not athletic?
More upside? Lol doubtful
@@alainlamour5868 exactly
@@JudahIAmKng probably better handles and playmaking is where Jovic could potentially be better. Possibly at best
If the Heat can get Marketin i would trade Buttler, and Herro.
If that’s your move just rebuild from the ground up
You know who was also a big time scorer, in fact the team’s top scorer on a bad team…. Rozier… he comes to the Heat and is mid. Don’t fall again for a looter in the riot. Lauri has never played a playoff game… he’s only been good on a bad team… pass. The answer is no
Tyler needs to go, he gets picked on and he’s too soft. Time to retool this team, I don’t have a problem giving Bam the max but that isn’t for defense. He needs to avg 25 and 10 this year, he can do it and the excuses are over.
Imagine a big lineup giving jovic SF minutes
You guys love basketball but do not understand or play the game. Heat needs a guy that can attack the rim and a 7 footer that can give Bam a breather. He is a great shooting big which is not what the heat needs.
Doesn't have to be 7 Ft, Minnesota has 2 of them and nearly got swept. Miami needs a competent, active big who can stretch the floor if needed and doesn't clog the paint and get in Bam's way... Naz Reid.
I realize this is content season but the pod should have been "Miami doesn't have nearly enough to trade for Lauri". When you start start off by casually saying "Is Duncan and a couple picks good enough?" I almost fell outta my chair.
Please don’t make entire videos about drafts from last century. You guys are my favorite UA-cam stop for Heat content, but my God does it get painful when you are talking about the transactions of the distant past. I’m old too, but cmon!
I prefer trae. His offense would open up so much and we've been top 10 in defense no matter who we've had
Alex needs to improve the way he discusses issues, and he lacks authority
He's 5otF's Charlie Brown.
HELL NO
I don’t think Lauri worth a max deal.
Lauri is not worth it, he was, he’s not anymore. Lauri at 50M per year and 3-4 picks to get him, no. Y’all were just talking about if we made this all in move, we needed a bonafide superstar, now we’re talking ab Lauri Markkenan as a 3rd option?
Did you sniff or smoke before you made this post? I would take Lauri in a heart beat if Mitchell isn’t available. At 7’0 who is one of the best 3 point shooters in the nba , has okay defense especially in the post , athleticism, and a decent cutter at the rim. Sign me up. We have Boston and Denver to worry about. You need size badly
Nah he's right. That's too much for LM as a third option. Those are Mitchell pricing as a first option
@@JudahIAmKng just because he’s good, doesn’t mean we need to crash out for him. The assets it would take to get him would be equivalent to that of Donovan Mitchell and Lauri is no where near Mitchell. 3 years ago people laughed at me when I recommended getting him for 1 first when he made 20M per year. Now im crazy bc I don’t want to spend 4 picks and 50M per year. How about not waiting for players to reach their peak value
@@derekl9881 you all don’t live in reality… this is the new nba… people want to get paid especially with the new cba and tv rights kicking in. 200 mil is not bad moving forward. This is why teams like Boston does good they’re not scared to pay players. Brown 300+ mil , holiday 140+ mil… Porzingas 80 mil , Tatum getting 330+ mil… you want to build a team you have to pay. You guys act like you are the people paying them sheesh lol
If they trade for this guy. He’ll be the main scoring option, that begins said will still be mediocre, most of our crappy home-grown “talent” will have to be sent out. Roster filled with min contracts and rejects from other teams. I agree with RRR, either pay if winning is the objective or don’t. But if you don’t then have the decency to call team for what it truly is, another vehicle to fool fans into showing up for whatever lousy unprofessional crap on the court
He is not what we need. I would rather get Lavine and Vucevic
