They are a bit like Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart. Most double-acts start out that way before becoming famous and doing their own thing. These pairs went another way. Famous first, double-act chemistry after
Don't care if it's Shakespeare and Marlowe or Crowley and Aziraphale or David and Michael - as long as it's those two, it's good. Only to be improved by the presence of Georgia and Anna!
2:33 is even funnier considering Michael Sheen has sold his houses to give the proceeds to charity before, works as a non-profit actor who has given much of his earnings to charity, plus he's raised over £110k for Welsh charities.
To be an actor, or a writor, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous directors Or to take up pens to applaud the public. And by doing so thank them.
Brilliant!!! I stand up and applaud this I shall add: To act, to write, no more. And by a play to say we end the boredom and the thousands daily worries flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consumation devoutely to be wished. To act, to write, to write, perchance to produce. Ay, there is the rub. For in that Theatre piece what struggles may come. When we have shuffled off this comedy sketch must give us pause.
There once was a pair venting spleen, Who seemed irrepressibly keen To write, in their frenzy, Till a fellow named Henry Deprived of a lim'rick, our Queen. :(
@@We3zerLv3r Yes I did. Last year at a con. I had deyed my hair blue for the event. When I got to his table to him(!!!) he looked up at me and said "I like your TARDIS blue hair". He is tall in real life surprisingly strong ( he put his arm around me for the photo and mine around him) and is really as nice as you've heard him to be. Casual, low key, charming, interested in the fans. Still loves Doctor Who as much as we do. If you get the chance-- don't hesitate. ♥ ♥
Not my creation... It isn’t the highest of flattery When every part of anatomy Fights Covid indoors By filling its drawers And goes from quite thin to quite fattery.
"Ful ofte in game a sooth I have herd saye!". "A pox on charity", no truer words have been said in jest. Charity is moral blackmail that allows governments to abrogate their responsibility to the people they purport to represent and rather than develop real policies to reduce or eliminate poverty the government instead plays on the sympathies of ordinary decent people to cover the costs of what should be the work of the government. Boycott children in need and get effing Boris to stop handing over hundreds of millions to his mates while he lets children go hungry or the Grenfell Tower burn.
Once upon a time there was Shakespeare and Great Britain Now...what is there but polical correctness and cry havoc. And words of Shakespeare are not even words of Shakespeare. Up your nose Britain, a comic relief.
I had enough reality TV to know that it is boring Michael Christopher Sheen no I do not want realism I have enough realism in my life I don't need to see it on video no thank you I love you
What would be great if those famous people give over an minimum of £100,00O each..see how they will then line up to join red nose day..that sketch wasnt even funny..
I could watch those two doing/playing LITERALLY anything. Bloody hilarious.
Marlowe - "Are you making up words again?" Lol!
👌😂
David Tennant and Michael Sheen’s rapport is basically a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
They are a bit like Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart. Most double-acts start out that way before becoming famous and doing their own thing. These pairs went another way. Famous first, double-act chemistry after
Agree 100pc
Yes indeed...in the years to come there will be monuments to Michael and David.
I love how they even did the theme in a new style to fit the sketch

Couldn’t have put it better myself 😊

that's amazing. he's an actual angel
"I'm funny!"
"are you?"
ohhh! hahaha! I like that they recreated the first episode. I love how they argue of sonnets and limericks.
David and Michael are fantastic in whatever roles they are playing!
These two are hilarious, definitely doesn’t need to be re-cast for an American audience in my humble opinion 😆
The best bloody actors of our time 💕
“A pox on charity!” 😂😂😂❤️
These two are so great together!
Because these two would have these costumes around at their houses. 😄
Knowing David Tennant...probably
To be an actor, or a writor, that is the question:

@Eleanor Turner Great, ^oo^
Brilliant!!! I stand up and applaud this

I friggin love Staged! More episodes for the US please!
My favorite part is ppl don’t know it’s fake, when the title reads, “Staged” 😂
they’re all on youtube now if you haven’t seen them yet. sucks that you guys over there don’t get bbc iplayer it’s a lifesaver.
The Queen has excellent taste. Limericks are awesome!!!
OMG! Thank you for this. I haven’t laughed so hard for awhile. I love your guy’s work and comedy. And I’m from Los Angeles. Thank you so much.
It's the Monty Python ending: when it stops being funny, send in the General! "Stop that! Too silly!"
Their every collaboration is hilarious !!
OMG I love 💕 love 🤩 love these two..and Simon too
I LOVE AND ADORE THESE TWO
David looks like a Ferrerro turned into a human. Michael looks like he's gonna discover Saturn or go undo some alchemical process
This is perfect because they are timeless. ❤
There once was a pair venting spleen,
Who seemed irrepressibly keen

Deprived of a lim'rick, our Queen. :(
Love, love love! Think Upstart Crow, might want a part of this. LENNY HENRY!!! Loved him since "Chef!" Perfect!!!!

Love them so much.
I love these 2
This was just terrific.
Seeing this video with these actors with only 15 comments on it, I feel like I have some sort of insider access.
Also, these are awesome 🤩😎
"you inventing words again" so good
They are absolute perfection 💜🌈🎭
This made my day!
"Are ye? Love this!
Brilliant!!!!!
These two! I'm feeling more Shakespeare vibes from Michael here than David but I've met David so it's all good. ❤❤

Michael Scheen ❤❤❤❤❤
"Slap-faced, one-trick fart balloon" has now entered my vocabulary as a preferred insult. Unless it's "slat-faced" not "slap-faced"?
Some of yall didn't watch the upstart crow episode and it shows
7 SHILLINGS BABY

Anyone else notice how Michael's hair, beard and moustache were the same as when he was in prison in Four Feathers?
Sheen at 0:21 reminds me of Limmy!
Happy Friday comic relief
Brill! 😆
2:25 *flashbacks to Doctor Who*

The world's really not as nasty as you think it is.

It was working ... until it wasn't. Sigh.
Give nothing to these grifters. Give locally.
go on slaves give your money to a multi billion pound company lol
Surprised it has an audience.
No time for these celebs anymore... Like the Hollywood collective who all think as one like the Borg from Star Trek..
What would be great if those famous people give over an minimum of £100,00O each..see how they will then line up to join red nose day..that sketch wasnt even funny..
it's not funny it's disturbing. since lockdown "comedy" has become mean and nasty. and commercials. because they want people to flip.
I'm sorry you're so unhappy.
