His unconditional commitment to brining experience and new perspective to the storytelling process, has allowed him to successfully cross over from journalism as a copy editor and reporter at People Magazine, to recording artist and touring musician for Headhunter/Cargo records, to his current life as an editor and co-owner of Breathe. How do you begin to reflect humanity on the screen? For Michael, this task appears to come effortlessly. It is only after close inspection, that we learn that Michael's heat still skips a beat when he reveals his work for the first time. It is this humanness, this devotion to making others feel good about editing and his unique, intuitive storytelling, which makes Michael such a remarkable editor. His talents have continued to evolve since his first cuts at Dennis Hays & Associates in 1993, and his work over the years has earned him acclaim including best achievement and best editing by such prestigious awards as International Monitor, Telly, New York Festivals and AICP.
