Hello Andy, Good to hear from you. I think many home cinemas are better than real cinemas. You can set your sound to fit your room and as you like it. In my home cinema I hear loads of surrounds which I never hear in cinemas. My image is also very good. I have a German LED projector which gives me a really good picture. You have an amazing set up. I have neighbours I have to think of, which dampens any heavy bass frequencies, but it is what it is.
1:34 casablanca can be presented here at the THX cinema with , five mono spread behind the screen on the L Lc C Rc R , try doing that at home with sub bass extension , it almost puts commercial DCP atmos cinemas to shame , why is that ? maybe cos i can freely think , stuff the directors/mixers intent that's a marketing technique to brainwash rest of the public with room is echo free no slap or pinging sounds , other than what echo effect is used on a film mix or music for effect use should only be heard at this THX cinema
