- How to replace diverter valve / 3 way valve assembly. Leaking diverter valve on Baxi Duo Tec / Potterton Promax boiler step by step
This video is for GAS SAFE ENGINEERS only, always follow manufacturer instructions.
Before to start any work on gas appliance isolate the power, turn off the gas and the waters.
Leaking diverter valve
1. Download manual

2. Remove front cover
3. Isolate the cold water, flow and return valves
4. Drain the boiler
5. Leave open the drain point
6. Remove diverter valve.
7. Reinsert the new diverter valve.
8. Close the drain valve open the flow and return valves.
9. Re-pressurise the heating system till 1 - 1.5 bar
You should use the monument spanner 🔧 22 - 15 mm nuts 🤩
Just replace the cartridge and happy days
The cartridge is not compatible for this type of diverted valve because it's with bypass pipe.

Just wondering why you took the whole block out, i thought you could unscrew the top of the diverter valve and screw in a new one. Im no expert its just what ive seen being done on other channels
The cartridge is not compatible with the tree port valve with bypass pipe.

Plus if its snapped you change entire lot anyways,unless you can fish bits out
why didn’t you source a compatible cartridge for the boiler model/ serial number
For diverter valve with bypass there is no cartridge replacement awalaible.
I'm sure there is, seems like a tough job for a simple cartridge change
