@@sansfangirl4life439 Im currently playing through FF6 for the first time. A remake with modern graphics would greatly improve some of the amazing plot elements ive seen so far!
@@sansfangirl4life439 Sadly I get the feeling they'd rather remake VIII and IX before ever glancing a second look at pre-VII games, besides for re-releases. I'd kill for a VI Remake, but until we know for sure the best we've got is ol' Sigmascape here. Which are still amazing imo
I'm really happy they made Kefka into a boss in this game. I wish they worked a bit more on the death sequence though. When he goes down in FFVI its like the world is coming to an end. That would have been really cool to see that represented here.
Here's a final fantasy villain that the player and his party actually outright LOSES to. He won. Ruled the world for over a year and fucked it up permanently. Awesome villain.
I recently play the pixel remaster and in the ending its clear the world of balance was restored after kefka death, we saw places that might be destroyed in the world of ruin in the endings scene ^%
Love the song of FF6 fight and the one from the final boss combine, this fight is really fun! And this time, no genji glove + offering combo to 1 shoot him ;) Kefka really got buffed hoa hoa hoa hoa!
Necrostrike it's split into two parts. The first is vs normal Kefka and lasts around 6 minutes. The second is vs God Kefka and lasts a tad more than 12 mins. Once you kill Kefka and face his holy self you start from that point on even if you wipe, so it's a checkpoint of sorts. Still pretty long instance though! That said, Bahamut Ultimate was a single long fight that did last around 20 minutes.
They could still do the Emperor (from FF II), as they used the FF XII Esper Mateus. He isn't even called Mateus in the game, only the novel, so the Emperor could actually work - but I fear that's not likely.
My money is on FF7 theme next. As far as powerful opponents being Omega's design goes, in Japan there is no antagonist more well regarded than Sephiroth. Plus he is another character that has a final fight transformation that works well with how they've been designing these Savage fights.
Sigh. I've never been able to get to the transition with any of the V.4 Savages. I don't know if it's me, or if I just never find a good team. Really sucks. I wanted to fight god Kefka.
I just... I just don't know how to process this. Realm Reborn is just too much of a mess. However, it sort of felt like a fever dream watching this... which feels right for Kefka. Nice work!
Would have liked him to die with a *POW* *POW* *boss shakes and turns to dust from the feet upward* but they did an incredible job on this fight as it is. No real complaints!
Generally spell speed is less valuable than the other stats for SMN, this also applies for RDM (which doesn't even get the dot gain from the stat). For now it's safe to follow Crit > Dhit > Det > Sps and then go for a reasonable balance between them.
Hey, I think it was Open Broadcaster Software (OBS Studio) at the time of recording. If you have a Nvidia graphics card, you can also look into Shadowplay. Both are pretty solid options, Open Broadcaster is more customizable but Shadowplay is easier to set up. Both have a "Replay Buffer" option as well where you can set your recording limit to 10-15 minutes, depending on the length of the fight you want to record. The software runs in the background and saves the defined past minutes by pressing a hotkey, thus saving you disk space.
why the hell would dirge of cerberus not count? And based on what we got so far, the other games are stories and legends in eorzea. Nevertheless, while I agree, given the Omega of ff7 is different, DoC IS canon to the series, so it should count.
Hey, I swapped to SMN for this fight only for a tiny boost in dps back in progression, and at the time I hadn't practiced the petswap opener enough to feel comfortable with it. As for Mana Shift I do it normally, for some reason just missed it here (it's present on God Kefka opener though I used it after Enkindle and it clips outside of the drain).
hmm, have you tested pet swap versus non pet swap? I can't use parser myself so unless I brother a friend it's hard to measure and test it out, so I kinda would prefer to train and focus on one, although o6s basically forces a non swap on. We are currently at Normal kefka progress but they will probably have me switch to smn for that as well next week
From what I remember petswap was mathed out to be a small potency gain for yourself but gives out a larger impact when you take into account that it improves the burst of others as well.
7:46 I seriously can't get over how well-executed this is.
jesus finally a video of the transition without people talking over it, thanks a ton.
The "Life... Dreams... Hope" dialogue had me in tears. Need to run this dungeon!
OMG THEY'VE EVEN PUT HIS LAUGH IN!
They did but still no Suplex Phantom Train :(
The camera angle you had when you were to the side as he was coming down. That was Godly!
Kefka laughing after resetting your limit gauge is the most brilliant thing ever
07:46 square need to make FF6 remake like this❤
Strongly agree buddy!
rumor has it that if FF7R was successful (which it very much was) that they intend to give 6 and 5 the same treatment

Wow....i'm just speechless
the transition cutscene is super bad ass. thx for the upload! i still can't do savage anything so it's nice to see lol

Maybe Omega Ultimate?
He is as oversized as in game sprite. Nice.
That's a thing FFXIV does well with bosses. It keeps a very Final Fantasy aesthetic
@@maxsifer6416 I still remember the first time I saw the Sophia cutscene, i literally yelled at how good it was
That laugh has been my text alert for like 5 years now and it always freaks someone out. xD
Thanks for the idea.
Oh damn Xeno was in this!

In my FF6 save, I actually left the game after he destroyed the world and fighting him once, leaving him victorious

omfg my favorite game of all time is in this game
That "Forsaken" sound effect as it shifts background and environment is exactly the right unsettling noise that it has to be.
I like Final Omega but I love God Kefka. This is the shiz.

xffing baldie is here
THANK YOU for this clean video of the audio and the transition without "OH GOD OH WOW SHIT FUCK OH MY GOD FUCK".
as I just got bored with the game and cancelled\uninstalled, they added this!
Im speechless this is fcking amazing and his laugh x.x
God, I love the forsaken 2 pandemonium. I think I had it easy as a DPS.
20 min boss fight is insane. Now that's endurance.

I hope they do Emperor Mateus next :o

Have they done Final Fantasy 4 related stuff yet?
efknight If we go by your argument, the Emperor is actually one of the most likely candidates. He's very popular in Japan.
17:32 Is that his Scream?
This looks hard
GLORIOUS!
Why did you block out the tower statue in the background?! That is what makes this whole battle epic!!
the tower does mechanics that fuck with you if you look at it
FFVI Full Open world Remake needs to happen. World of Balance on disk 1 and World of Ruin on Disk 2. Make it happen Square Enix!

THIS IS FUCKING INSANE!!!!
What melds are you using on your SMN gear? The normal Crit -> Dhit -> Spell Speed?
I went with Crit>Dhit>Det for SMN/RDM and Crit-Sps>Dhit>Det for BLM. Things can change once we whip up new bis sets for all of them though.
I still dont understand why there are no voice acting in some really imporatnt parts of this game...
Why would you want Kefka voice acted anyways?
You say that like Kefka hasn't been voice acted for years already.
Kefka doesn't need voice acting. All he needs is his creepy laugh
Kefka does not have the last laugh. Terra wins from plot armor.
Hate to say this but Kefka is got to be REALLY handsome without those clown makeups. Im dead serious
I was thinking the same thing looking at HD stills of the regular version. his god version looks absolutely terrifying though xD
There's a guy named Yozora in your party a year before KH3 came out lol
haha yeah, it's a reference to "yozora mikazuki" I believe, so not from KH in this case

OMG THE OMEGA RAID IS THE BIGGEST CROSSOVER TO DATE! I wonder who's next? Sephiroth?
then i hope the TRUE Sephiroth...and samurai drops an overlong sword xD
Sadly we wont get sephirot since omega doesnt exist on ff7 and dirge of cerberus doesnt count, maybe the weapons but not actual sephirot

Possibly but doubtful, and I question whether he'd get the same treatment as Kefka and Exdeath got.
We got Chaos from FFI and just Omega. Other two were FF14 centric. So no Sephiroth

Better than in FF6.
Wow... WOW....wOW....wOw,.....
Now I can only pray they will include Safer Sephiroth too
That whole game was/is being remade stand-alone. He can take sit out of FF XIV.
Goner.
He just live to long, now you dance on his tomb
Nice, though imo would have liked to hear only the bgm. Nevertheless this one is far better than almost every other video out there.
thanks, I personally thought they did a great job with both the visuals and sounds in this fights so wanted to include them too
Normal mode was so disappointing

hmmm how is harder HIM or Bahamut on Ultimate
Unending Coil is still the hardest fight in the game
