Having the NF.Short on my bench, being small, compact, and easy to use with excellent volt Amp range, I rarely ever use the Rigol. The Rigol is big and bulky with no real benefit unless third digit accuracy is important, and that is not the case for any repair business. I have 2 working channels on the Rigol. Fixing the third channel on something I'm not going to use is just a waste of time. Maybe I'll look into it in the future when time permits.

Just placed order for that NFShort/PSU. Been wanting and looking for a supply with those features but none fit the bill…. Now to clear off a spot for it on the bench. Keep up the great work.
Alex, I am so happy to watch you become more successful as you grow your business! Your work is the best and you prevent so much e-waste by helping us repair our electronics. You also teach as you go, inspiring others to learn the intricacies of what you do to maybe repair their own devices. Fantastic business model you have put together! Keep it up!

This is why I leave my cards alone. Shaving off 5 degrees by replacing thermal paste / pads is not worth losing your warranty over. The Gigabyte Gaming OC line has 4 year warranty, this card should still be in warranty. I'm guessing they removed the warranty sticker though and couldn't RMA it. I have a Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080 12gb, I bought it for the 4 year warranty and will use it until it dies.

First of all congratulations for your great UA-cam channel and your short finder! I would like to ask if while injecting voltage into the circuit to find the short circuit a positive voltage could be applied to the ground rails of the motherboard and the zero voltage at probe pin. Thanks!
It might be possible to make a jig that would allow a Dremel tool to remove small amounts of material on each pass and thereby grind away a stuck chip, leaving the board undamaged.
I have a question and it's been a dilemma of mine but it is true that you can't always inject voltage on a short with a DC bench power supply? I use the TEKPOWER TP3005T and i turn off current protection but I can't always boost amps on a short.
Voltage injection nf when i want to inject voltahe should i set the voltage to like 1volt what about the current will i set the current as well or will i only set the voltage
I Know a guy who inyect always 4 volts 4 amps in phones. He said as there's a short, current will not damage since is consume by short. What's you opinion about it Alex??
If some one made misstake with measurements (we are only humans) it is gonna kill every component that needs low voltage power supply: CPU, MemC, Mem and so on.
Also, this guy says he does that when he do not know the voltage of the line, if he does know then he inyect the line value. Another guy I follow only inyect a 3rd part of line voltage.
I am trying to fix a Radeon rx 6800 but 12v rails on the pcie connection is measuring above 12v I think. It’s reading 1850ish in continuity mode, does anyone know what this means?

ist only me or some one thinkin the same, why you dont fix your power supply chanel 🤭
There is a saying the mechanics car is never fixed, and a builders home is always in need of repair.
He doesn't get paid for that. 😁

Hello , yea I will and I’m 💯 that Alex himself can fix it with eyes closed !!!
I agree..
It doesn't bring money to the company, so...
You sure got your handsful with all those graphics cards. Nice voltage injection device you promoted Alex. Keep up the great work.

On a side note.. I just got the NF PCB holder, the one with the 6 sliders... THIS THING IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!
Ordered it today!! Looking forward to playing with this voltage injector!

I've asked you several times over the past year about using a PS to inject voltage. Now I know.
Good see ya Alex. Nice background that you guys moved new building awesome 👌
Its perfect that you made a video about this specific topic because i was thinking about buying one of those Short-injector machine. 😎😎✅

How about for the desktop motherboard, how many voltage recommended to inject?
Great to have ya back!

I Know a guy who inyect always 4 volts 4 amps in phones. He said as there's a short, current will not damage since is consume by short. What's you opinion about it Alex??
If the short blows open (not that unlikely with 16W going through it) it can fry whatever is connected to these traces.
If some one made misstake with measurements (we are only humans) it is gonna kill every component that needs low voltage power supply: CPU, MemC, Mem and so on.
Well.... there's a short... but what happens if the short burns out? Not impressed with your 'guy'.

ca you explain us why do you inject voltage by 1.7 volts?
To keep the smoke in the cpu
So it is just a bench power supply.
Every bench power supply should be able to handle the power it can deliver.
To beep, or not to beep, that is the question.
Northridge is so busy, he cannot fix his own benchtop power supply.
What is the AC Voltage Input Range for the NF.Short Voltage Injection Tool?
110-240 works on all inputs.
I hope there is one of these left on payday :)
you can test the card without 1 phase to make sure the GPU is still working. Did from experience

Yes 110-240

Does it also have USB charging port?
Came in for no power.
The fact the third channel of his bench power supply is broken and he didn't repair it.😀
To beep or not to beep. That is the question.
Is the NF.Short 110v AC only?
110-240. Works with all inputs.
