Surprised to see Lalah can play piano but I figured she would ve learned with her dad being a virtuoso on the keys. I understand why she didn't show her talent in playing though. If she came out from gate playing piano, E-VERY-BODY would've pressured to be like her dad in performing but she found & made her own way in the music world as she should be allowed to as an artist. I love her stuff since Baby don't cry lol so seeing her grow to now is awesome!
I honestly feel thather pianoplaying was very simple and that probably almost all great singers out there can play basic piano. I wasn't surprised. I could hear how focused she was on the piano and how much it took away from her singing capacity. Usually she is one with her voice and her vocal ideas, but that suffered while she played piano at the same time as singing. All and all - a mediocre performance in my opinion. She is usually much much better at singing. I love her voice and musicality.
