I am more than excited to see that HDZero has prevailed and gotten not just the price right but also the product! It's good to know there's intelligent people trying to further our hobby not at the expense of the users.
Great overview! I have been enjoying my goggle soooo much! I have tried every goggle, and these are the first ones that actually made me happy, truly. I was O3/G2 before I switched to HDZero, and I am so happy with this system! What you said about the breakup is so true… I can fly with 90% breakup… I know it’s there but it honestly doesn’t interfere with my fast flying, at all, I notice it a lot during playback though. Weird how that is. All the best, and happy flying!
Thanks and thanks for watching. In the few packs I've flown with this, the breakup snow is somehow not a problem. I need to get some underground car park flying to see how it really performs. But with HDZero, the only way is up.
Thanks for this video! I can't wait for mine to be delivered soon. My only concern about exclusive direct shipments is that some resellers may decide to not carry any HDZero products at all unless HDZero provides them with units to be sold as well. Just a thought...
Still jealous you got the Radiomaster Boxer just sitting there, didn't get a shipment confirmation yet... damnit.. HDzero Goggles have a great chance of being ordered, but I'll wait for the hype to die down and see if there's any issues that need taken care of (there's always something in the first production run). I jumped on the Fatshark Dominator HDO3/walksnail system for Free Style and I like it, but HDZero for racing.... hmmmmmmm.
@@WhirlyBloke O yeah I've seen Carl reacting and implementing stuff so fast it's undeniably a good system and goggles! Also Caddx/Walksnail are doing pretty well in rolling out new firmware and addressing issues. Finally were moving FORWARD again! Analog overall and THAT OTHER DIGITAL BRAND was just holding us back lol.
Great video, subbed! I’ve really been enjoying mine, hope yours arrive soon! You or Derrick may have done this already since this initial unboxing video, but the faceplate isn’t fully clicked in yet. At the end of Ryan Quellet’s video where he disassembles and reassembles them, he demonstrates the best way. I didn’t realize on mine until I saw that video
From one pensioner to another - you're never too old. To reverse a Zorro channel running EdgeTX, select the model and page across to the Output page - page 7. Click the channel you want to reverse, select Edit and scroll down to DIRECTION. Select INV to invert the channel. Hit return a few times to get back to the Outputs page and you'll see the left/right arrow now points left indicating the channel is reversed.
Oh yes. Not only are they better, the OLED displays are extremely good and the overall image is so good because there's no HDMI signal conversion - the displays are driven directly by the HDZero hardware.
@@WhirlyBloke interesting! Would you say they outperform the 04x for analogue as well? Can you get the optics edge to edge clear? Ian from Mad's Tech was saying he couldn't for his eyes.
Umm....In my bitter experience ,if buying from abroad,U.S.,China, and you'll get whacked English Import Duty AND VAT too....that's what happens these days.....
It's true if you're in the UK like me, the likes of Banggood and AliExpress now have to add VAT to the price so things are not as cheap as they once were. However, in 7 years of buying from China, I've never once had to pay import duty. If you buy from Hong Kong and Taiwan or some other far east countries, you will.
I got the goggles and sold them after flying the O3…. I should have never tried O3 because it ruined me for HDZERO and the breakup style. I thought I’d be ok with it but flying begins anything I’d get sparkles on my freestyle vtx. o3 I can fly behind 3 buildings and still get a solid link with 1080 video to my eyeballs. Goggles themselves are awesome though so it’s a shame. Will see what this year is like but HDZERO will need to get into mas marketed bind n flys if they want to compete with the likes of DJI.
That's true, but the latency in O3 isn't acceptable for racers and fast pilots. That't why they use analog and this is an awesome alternative. And it will improve over time.
HDZ is there for different goal and not to (direct) compete with DJI and I believe it never will. I wait, learn and finally choose HDZ goggles because it's "analog friendly" and bring all the goodness that suit for me and realized I wont get the beauty of DJI image that I don't need. Walksnail which supposed to compete and catch up with DJI fpv systems and they already had +2 point by releasing VRX and 1s VTX despite all the issues that require to be addressed. If somehow DJI change their bussiness mind by releasing and selling the similar gear ... then walksnail will be ruined.
I’m too invested in Dji unfortunately. Oh well… I guess I’ll just have to settle with the crystal clear image and shear penetrating power of my 03 setups. Sigh… 😂
And that's the problem. DJI image quality is excellent and I've been invested since the V1s first appeared. But I'm now a couple of hardware versions behind cos DJI will always try to limit backwards compatibility to encourage sales. That's the DJI bear trap. So I've bitten the bullet cos I believe the HDZero goggles image will always be improving with software updates. Besides, I could always use them with WalkSnail.
Yes as all the other reviews are saying... Best thing since sliced bread... Until the next best thing arrives.. probably before the year is out... and if you have spent over (£650 as you will need antennas plus TX and camera) it all becomes a financial undertaking at a time when many of us are struggling to keep up with the present economic climate.
I agree you need to be careful just buying the latest and greatest, but then again if you hang on forever you'll never own anything. You have to go with whatever you feel comfortable with. And this system can only get better and have more features the FPV community want.
I am more than excited to see that HDZero has prevailed and gotten not just the price right but also the product! It's good to know there's intelligent people trying to further our hobby not at the expense of the users.
You're exactly right. DJI O3 is excellent, but at what cost and control? HDZero is for the FPV community.
These look like the goggles we have been dreaming off for a long long time! Thanks for the review.
They are!

I finally ordered a set because of your video. Thanks cheers mate. Can't wait to try them out (in two months 😂)
They rock.
Thansk for your video. I ordered mine 5 days ago and they will be shipped around mid march.
You'll love it.

Thanks. Yes, it'll be interesting to see how Divimath manage distributors and dealers this year.
Really awesome review my friend! I enjoyed your take on the new HDZero goggles. 👍🤟
Thanks. I try to say it as I see it.
Thanks for the review. I can't wait for mine to get here 😀
I know how you feel.
Im sold. Im certain the hdz system will match up nicely with my tracer link.
That's a great combo.
It does, ask me how I know
Yea i did order me the goggles. Great review thank u.
Thanks for watching.

I totally get that and you need to be cautious with all new tech. But I've got a good feeling about these.

Yep. Out of the box it's not fully pushed home. It just needs clicking in. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Can you tell me how to reverse a servo on my zorro or is there a video available I am 78 and may be out of my depth thanks john Australia

Theoreticly, could u wire up the walksnail avatar goggle addon to these and enjoy walksnail in 1080p on OLED screens?
My understanding is you can.
not just a theory, others have already done it and they are very very pleased with the results.

Don't think the are trying to compete, I think there's enough for both teams to do well

I’m flying my vistas through my goggles 2 so not too anti backwards compatible
