    I agree with you questioning the costs after their initial quote, it happened to me just yesterday for my car service, when I picked up my car, they asked me to pay three times more than what I thought. My car is new and did not need any of the stuff they priced me for. They gave me only little discount. Anyways I’m so glad you are persistent, specially on such luxury high end price pieces.     Your belief that you must get the quality you pay for and stand up for your rights as a consumer is absolutely correct. That melting glazing on that pouch is disgusting ! I absolutely agree with you and applaud your assertiveness!

    This was a very helpful video Nastasia. I have a neverfull from 2008 and the vachetta around the purse has numerous cracks. I want to have it replaced but I am afraid to do it. I had seen another video where they had the old version of the neverfull with the cursive font and. when they sent it to LV for repair they replaced the whole zip pocket with the new printed font. Very informative video, thank you!

    You are so adorable and love your accent. As for your neverfull Pochette the glazing should not be melting. This was issue with some empriente leather pieces I believe from certain years where the glazing was melting. From my own experience I had a leather phone case from 2013 where the glazing started melting I brought it into LV. At first the manager took some pics and asked where I bought it I told her it was from pre loved market so then she said she will send to quality and see what they say and how much. A week later she came back and told me that the item was defective and they could give me credit for the value of the item. It worked out great as I upgraded my phone so the small phone case would not work anyways and I ended up getting toiletry 19 for that value :) I know we hear horror stories but there are times when LV does step up and stand behind their products. So for sure they should replace the Pochette or fix it free for you !! Let us know the update.

I definitely see a lack of service in the repair domain, but I know that LV also proofed themselves in satisfying the customers the best they can.     Thanks Nastasia for such a helpful video on the LV repairs. I am planning to take some of my items in for repair as well and will definitely check on the points you have mentioned! Especially for the price we pay for these items, they better provide excellent repair service.

      Nastasia just convinced me never to buy anything from LV. They should provide a LIFETIME warranty and FREE repairs.

      Haha...I agree! Honestly the designer bags’ prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down. At this point LV should provide free lifetime repairs for the crap quality.

    Hi Nastasia and thank you for such an informative video. First of all I am very glad someone else has noticed the differences between old and new Neverfull models (nowadays the repair of the Neverfull is done according to the new model). I have an LV Neverfull GM in monogram from 2008 which is very well used so I wanted to buy a new one and when I went into the Louis Vuitton store to do so I compared the two models and noticed that: 1.the canvas is a lot thinner, 2.the leather is thicker and rougher and feels a bit plasticky, and most annoyingly 3.the handles are thicker and SHORTER for about 2-3cm!! I compared old and new version in GM size and both me and my SA were shocked about the difference and it is most noticeable when I try to put a bag on my shoulder with one hand-it doesn’t glide over my elbow so I have to use another hand to pull it over the elbow onto my shoulder, which is very annoying when your other hand is busy with stuff. Also, the chains and clasps on the Pochette Accessories are different and a lot thinner then on the old models. Louis Vuitton is trying to save on those small differences but they keep rising the prices so for me Louis Vuitton bags and SLG’s for now are a big no no.Disappointed 👎

Yes, LV is changing a lot of details in order to save money and only older generation will be able to notice since we have older pieces.     Hi Nastasia! Yes, my new neverfull straps are super thick too!! So different than the older ones. Also, the glazing on my Pochette Métis is melting/soft as well! I am kind of devastated and feel they will deem it damaged and not repairable. It is the original original model with the leather on the back pocket pull and additional interior pocket.

      Hi Susan, thanks for letting me know about the handle on the newer Neverfull, this is good to know. And regarding your Pochette Métis, would you not consider bringing it back and they may exchange it for a new one? I am sure you will not notice that it‘s not the original version, at least you get a new one with no glazing issues. Think about it 😘

    I would think twice before bringing my items for repair. I also believe if you are paying for repair you should definitely be 100 percent happy with the outcome those repair prices are not cheap

      Absolutely correct Raquel, I actually was never afraid to bring my things in for repair, but especially if I have to pay myself I will be extra picky. At least if they demage the item they will full refund. Thank you for watching 😘

    I’ll be bother about the thickness of the straps too! 🤔 and at this point they are going to punch holes on your neverfull trim 3 times! So I’m not sure if the canvas is gonna take it! Can’t wait to know what they tell you!

    I have a black epi petite noe; I had the thick leather banding up the sides replaced. Lost the date code in the process even though I asked them to keep it. The repair was $120 in 2021.

    Louis Vuitton is phasing datecodes out and replacing them with Microchips. I wonder if they chipped your items. I have a Trousse 28 there right now for a zipper replacement and the quote was $180usd. I will have to make sure to question them if they try to charge more.

      I’ve heard 14 days from date purchased and that’s only if it’s not used and at discretion of the SA.

      Yes exactly, in Europe return policy with Louis Vuitton are 30 days, but the item must not been worn...

    My pouchette Métis has a glazing issue (doing the same as your pouchette) they had a recall, makes me sick but I am afraid to bring it in for repair as I may never get it back!

    Omg! I bought my T15 last December and I just gave it a good look after watching this. And yes, I can see the glue bottom part 😩 I also bought a Cles in DE and something is wrong with its shape.

      Ya, sometimes we just don‘t pay attention enough, however let‘s not forget that these items are made by hand and they can‘t be always perfect. However, if it is bothering you, maybe you can bring it in to LV and check whether they can replace it... 💕

    My pouchette metis had glazing issues, lv gave me a credit for what the Metis had increased too💁‍♀️l used that and put in the balance for a full leather Neo Vivienne (now discontinued)l love this bag more than the Metis. Worked out well for me yay! Also my dragonne snapped off lv gave me a brand new one, excellent service by Louis Vuitton☺️but honestly our products shouldn’t have any issues, these products are not cheap😘

    Can I asked if they kept the wallet since you took the voucher?
    Took my Josephine wallet (now discontinued) and my SA told me they will give me what is was worth when I purchased it $490.
    She offer that amount to buy another wallet. But I don’t want another wallet as the one similar to it it’s Sarah wallet not a fan.

    The date code on the backpack, check the bottom buckle the one located just above the front pocket. Thats the other location it might be, if it’s not on the inside d ring

    I sent my Neverfull MM DE for repairs just shy of two years because the glazing on the straps was peeling off and completely gross. Looked disgusting and was really noticeable. They replaced for free but two years later it did it again even though I take good care of it.
    I’ve been too scared to take it back due to price and I don’t want to be without it for so long. Thanks for your video, I converted the currency and think I am happy to spend a few hundred AUD soon to fix them.

    i have 2 things repaired at LV and both were for free, although items were more than 2 years old.
    But quality of repair was not so good. My sunglass case had glassing problem, (worse than on your video) LV repaired it, but after I got my item back canvas has started peeling😱

    OMG, Nastasia, this is awful! I've also had some challenges with the LV products, and now, I have not bought anything new from LV in over a year. I also had a melting glazing with my Empreinte Speedy 25 (older version), they filxed it without charging me any money - I bought it preloved and it was about 2 years old - but they replaced and fixed all the problem areas. So, definitely expect for them to repair for free. That said, I think I'm done with them. Never say never, but I think I'm done. The designs are either childish or look like fakes, and quality is subpar. I've had better products from Coach than from LV. For all the price increases, I expect a superior quality and service - it's just not there for a lot of customers. I love the pieces I have, but some of them not perfectly made either - I just live with it because I love them. Thanks for doing this video - I'm sure it'll be helpful for a lot of viewers! 😘❤️

      Hello my dear friend, thank you so so much for your comment, I feel 100% with you and believe me, I could immagine to be done with LV too if they won‘t fix my problem in a way I can be satisfied. I have no issues if they can‘t fix everything, but then don‘t charge me for a service which is not immaculately perfect.     I bought an Escale Neverfull last summer. To me, compared to my DA Neverfull and World Tour Neverfull (which are from 2018 & 2018)... The straps definitely feel different. The Escale has a thicker layer of dyed Vachetta where the attachment to the bag is.. (May have to show you in a photo) ;)
    The texture also feels different to me on the Escale. Maybe more “spongy”??
    Unfortunately... the quality of LV’s craftsmanship is just now what it used to be sadly.. The quality of the materials has declined too.. Makes me so sad.. 😭 Love your videos!!! Have been a long time subbie!!

      Thank you so much for your comment Lisa, I definitely understood the handle situation, in fact I learned that the new Neverfull‘s have now thicker handle. I can certainly deal with that, but not with hiding/removing my datecode from the bag 😩😩😩 Stay safe 😘💕

    I tried asking them directly and of course, couldn’t get a definitive answer.

    What a great video! Very interesting topic. I noticed right away when you took out your neverfull the straps were thicker. I actually like it. I noticed sometimes with reviews peoples neverfull straps look really really thin and worn out and I don’t like that look. I think yours will age better. Also I’m glad you’re being picky. If more people were and would send their items back for repairs and corrections than their quality control would improve in the first place. For instance, being so lazy and careless as to cover the date code is ridiculous. By sending that back to correct it hopefully they will not be careless anymore.

    I purchased an LV Trocadero (Rectangular camera bag) in 1991 and had issues with a dark glue oozing from the front pocket of the bag about 3 years later. I brought the bag into the Beverly Hills boutique where I purchased the bag and the sales associates (several of them) told me there was nothing they could do and practically pushed me out of the store. I called the manager and told him to fix it or else I would take him to court. The bag was fixed, but the work was awful. They did repair the bag for free. The inside, zippered pocket is unusable. The outside pocket that was repaired has dark glue residue and must be cleaned before and after every use! The rest of the bag is in good condition and I do wear it. I actually boycotted LV (absolutely refused to even walk into the store) for 28 years because of this. My son purchased a wallet almost a year ago and the glazing started to peel after 3 months. We were told the repair would take 14 weeks from June, 2020 when we returned to the boutique. My son didn't want the wallet repaired and I am watching for more peeling. I live in the U.S. and most of the bags and SLGs are made in the U.S. A real bummer!

      Woow, what a story 😳 and I am so shocked and sad for what you have been gone through with Louis Vuitton. They should provide lifetime guarantee and treat you the very best way, no matter if you buy, return or bring in for repair. I sometimes dislike the company exactly for such reasons!!!! Shame on them!

    I had a lot of repair done and they did take the date code off on my speedy 25 I did take pictures of it and video so I have documented and I know the date code.I contacted LV in 3 different occasions as soon as I received the bag back and I was told the date code it’s not important that they have it in my profile that LV was the one who did the repair and I should not worried about it I also have a copy of the email just in case in the future if I have to sender back for any future repair.

      LV should provide FREE REPAIRS and a LIFETIME WARRANTY on LL their goods, rather than robbing their very loyal customers for always more money, and more money!

      Don’t stress about the date code I live in the U.S and I use to travel a lot and customs never ask me about my bags. I also have a couple LV before the date code era and never had any problem. I do which they never took my date code from my speedy because it’s something original to the bag. I ask my client service advisor if anyone brings a fake bag to LV for repair what do they do she told me they will refuse the repair but they are not allowed to accuse anyone of having a fake bag or embarrassing them so definitely customs has no authority to determine if your bag is fake or real. You have a real bag and you can always showed your receipt from your emails and one last thing a lot of fake bags now have date codes that they copy from the real bags. That’s why they don’t go by date codes anymore when you bring you repair bag they looking and the stitch and the canvas they know their craft. I hope you are able to fixed your bag soon.

      @@SuiGenerisAbbie I understand but a lot of the repair I have gotten has been on my vintage bag from almost 30 years ago and when my mom bought them they didn’t cost as much as they do now like my speedy 25 it was less than $400 prices have gotten way to high.

      Hello my dear, thanks for your kind comments. I could care less about the datecode since I know the itmes are real, but to me it‘s just e decreas in value especially after having invested in repairs, which should increase or hold the value of my items. Now with this issue, nobody would buy my Neverfull off from me without the datecode. That‘s it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Take care sweety 😘

    My wallet does the same thing in the edges. The glazing is made of rubber material and its melting . I have to bring it to the store for repair as well. For that price we are paying for this luxury item we are expecting a quality product.

    Der LV Repair Service hat echt noch Luft nach oben was sorgfalt betrifft ... auch schon früher. Die Preise sind echt happig. Ich überlege mir 2 mal ob ich noch was einschicke 😔

      Ja das ist echt frustrierend, wenn du bedenkst wieviel wir für die Produkte bezahlen. Da müssten die Reparaturen eigentlich „for free“ sein oder zumindest günstiger 💕

    Hi I hope you see this comment. I took a wallet that I had never worn that the glazing (trim) was pulling away from the wallet. The wallet was part of a limited edition collection and I had not worn the bag or the wallet. They immediately realized what the problem was and explained to me that this was an issue they had when producing some of their bags several years ago but had now corrected the problem. The CA thought my wallet could be fixed but wasn't' sure and said they would contact me if it couldn't be repaired in which case I could pick an item in the same price range. I paid $950 for the wallet to match the purse probably 7 or 8 years ago. The wallet immediately starting selling for $3000 online. So I'm praying they will be able to repair it. Otherwise, I lose a brand new item worth $3000 and will probably only get $950 for it. Thanks for the video. It was informative and I hope you've gotten your bag fixed!

      Hi Leslie, woow what a story! And tell me which wallet are you talking about? I can‘t immagine it‘s going up in price like this on the pre-loved market, but lucky you if you own the wallet and yes hopefully they will be able to repair it. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼🍀

      @@NastasiaM53 Hi Natasia, It was the Yayoi Kusama bag and matching wallet in yellow. Three weeks after purchasing the wallet and the bag and I went into an LV store to ask a question about another bag. The CA pulled up my history and said "I see you have the Yayoi Kusama bag. Have you carried it? I said "No" then he said the bag was selling for $3000 now. Do you want to sell it? I said "NO". Then he said "Well you have the wallet and it's selling for $3000 too. Do you want to sell that and I said "No". Maybe he had a VIC that wanted the bag and wallet. I was so curious, when I got home I went online and googled it and sure enough, the wallet and bag were both selling for $3000. I'm sure the excitement over the pieces has passed and the prices have dropped. I'm curious again so I'm checking later. Stay Safe and Be Well, Leslie

    It seems LV quality standard hv dropped drastically. One would wonder whther the service repair is of 3rd party. Whatever branded bags tat one paid for of cos expected it to be of good quality when price is concerned. Tks for sharing such an indepth in servicing of bags.

    Nastasia, for the amount you pay for anything Louis Vuitton, you should give a lifetime guarantee, and free repairs!
    Sounds like you had a bad experience, or two, getting things repaired from LV.
    That is unacceptable. 😡
    I would NOT have been pleased.
    You just successfully convinced me never to buy anything from Louis Vuitton, ever if I could afford to buy one.
    Having to pay so much for repairs, then wait so ong to get anything back, then ... not see a good job done, would have made me very angry.

    I had experience with LV handbag and wallet which I bought them 8 years ago , but I used them 2 times only they look so nice beautiful color , I save them not used them keeping in cool place cabinet , actually I have so many brand name handbags then I forgot to wear them again but one day I want to carry it and find out both handbag and wallet color bag was changed from baby blue color to pale yellow, ugly looking . I came to LV store let them do something or fix it for or sent back to company exchange for me , I was so disappointed that they did not do anything, I paid a lot of money to purchase but finally they was very bad quality , I don’t accept how worst quality and not good service when customers disappointed about the purchase so expensive not worth to buy , honestly !,
    From now on I stop and never buy LV handbag anymore, today handbags look good but few years later look worst 👎🏼👎🏼

    Forget the date code on your NF. Don’t let them mess around with your bag anymore. You’re not going to sell it. I think thicker and it looks to me, wider straps will last longer. The D ring looks terrible. The rivet isn’t even centered. I wonder if they remove date codes as a policy because the bag is no longer from the year it was produced. LV has become like fast fashion. I’m not surprised by the problems everyone is having.

      Hi Nicole, the datecode is actually still there, but hidden between the new leather and the pocket, in a way that you can‘t seen it. I also thought not to mess around again with it, but it makes me very angry that I paid for a service that is not well completed. They should have examinated the bag before shipping it back. It‘s just poor quality, but they still charged me the full amount! Not fair in my eyes. I really like my Neverfull and I hope I can get over the things that bother me 😭💕
