Hey Kash - welcome to the elite club with that disengagement problem :) Thanks for the feedback! Did you end up going with different levers? If you want a channel sticker send me a DM on Telegram or Instagram with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop
@@RonsWorkshop I went back to stock levers but I recently put jd customs hand guards on and my big ole stock brake lever dings them every time I let go of the lever. Need to get some shorty's but I was worried about running into the same problem with the onefngrs.
I’m having the same issue with the 1 finger lever Tried different adjustments with both the clutch and clutch cable. Started with the recommended 1/2 turn back on the clutch, also tried 1/4 turn back With the clutch cable started with 1/8” free play also tried 1/16”and even zero free play still couldn’t get full clutch disengagement. Measured clutch disengagement as recommended by Baker transmissions and definitely not enough disengagement Bike was shifting smooth as butter and no issues prior to installing the 1 finger clutch lever. Definitely a design flaw Mounted lever on Dyna. Dealing with this as I’m writing this so haven’t contacted them yet but you are not alone. Good video
I’m just seeing your video now since I’m researching this issue. Got the elite moto tech clutch lever and perch and have been having the issue of clutch disengagement as well. If I back the adjuster screw out on the basket any more than 1/8 of a turn the clutch won’t disengage. Interesting you had the same issue with the 1 finger.
I added PSR adjustable shorty levers to my Sportster and will be doing same with my 20 Softtail. Had an issue with the PSR brake perch nit fitting correctly on the brake light switching and brake light stayed on. PSR went above and beyond to get me a replacement and no issues. They’re two finger levers and fully adjustable which is-great!
What year is your sportster ? I'm thinking about going with them on My 07 but I'm worried about fitment. I've already tried one brand that didn't fit. So I'm mostly looking for the best fitting levers. I love the look of the PSR
Club style rida HD 2021 Sportster, but they have other years. Not too sure for an 07 but never hurts to check. Great customer service so if you call you’ll get a quick answer.

I just installed the 1FNGR on my 2020 low rider s and ran in to the same issue with not disengaging. I emailed them and am sure they will take care of me but now seeing this I expect there will be no resolution besides getting my money refunded. Too bad really as the levers are very nice looking, feel good, and have solid build quality. Thanks for the video as good confirmation I am not going crazy; I checked primary adjustment too.....Cheers

@@RonsWorkshop 1FNGR and Get Lowered Cycle provided fantastic customer service and did not jerk me around about this issue. For those of you who may stumble upon this, I would fully recommend the 1FNGR as the product is built very well and looks great. It truly does appear that this lever travel issue is very rare. I am receiving a full refund and will be trying out the Elite Moto levers, hope they work! Cheers
I have only ever heard of that issue on the softails oddly enough. I run the 1FNGR on my Sportster and they are incredible, and everyone else that I have heard run them loves them. Then there is the very odd story about a softail not fully engaging/disengaging. I know they recently updated a lot of their stuff, so I wonder if this issue was figured out?

Ahhh man, I'm glad I watched this...the reason I'm looking for different levers that aren't as ridiculously hard to pull as the factory ones on my '21 street bob. I need something that works easier for my old fuc*ed up hands ;)
Hey Pirate LZ - I’m glad it was helpful! Let me know what you end up. I really wanted the 1fngr levers to work out but it just wouldn’t disengage the clutch for me. Hey Jake - I definitely recommend that. Mine are harder to pull than stock because of the reduced leverage but they still pull smoothly. Let me know how they feel after you grease them up.
@@RonsWorkshop I have used them and thoroughly used it (on my dyna and road king) never had an issue compared to 1fngr. the sweep on the blade is deeper on the EMTech but perch is at a similar angle so it retains “stock” placement but still an easier pull unlike the 1fngr’s blade which seems to be out further than stock

I have the vf one finger lever. And I’m having a problem with it adjusting out with my bike they sent me this little spacer that goes in the perch in with it in and the auto cable pulled together I have hardly any Free Play which at that point I should have all free play with the spring pulled up and with that spacer in the perch when I pull the tab on the auto adjust it doesn’t go back down and I can’t even pull it down to latch it. like I can feel it against the clutch ,with that spacer out it had way too much free play and barely grabbed the clutch. But the auto spring would work with the spacer out, but free play was way off. Ironically with the spacer in and the cable is pulled together right now which should have total free play. like that it feels like a perfectly working clutch but I know that spring needs to be down…..
Hey TMF - yeah that’s an odd situation. But, if the spring is fully compressed with that spacer installed, and the clutch works properly, that may be just fine. Normally with the plastic clip snapped in there’s no movement in that mechanism, effectively locking it off. But it sounds like you may not be able to get the red clip in with that spacer installed?
@@RonsWorkshop spacer installed the red clip goes in just fine it’s actually in with the spring fully compressed I just know normally from factory set up you keep it decompressed. I was thinking the same thing by running it like that since it has correct FreePlay and clutch travel and the clip is locked…
@@tmf404 Yeah, but as long as everything goes back together I think you'll be fine. I'd just do a few neighborhood rides before venturing out on the highway.

I've never heard of 1FNGR just ghosting somebody. Infact, I have heard of them going above above beyond in situations where it doesn't work.
