  • I show a side Control attacking sequence in this class starting with the Forearm Wedge. This is a really great control that works in both Gi and No Gi. Make sure that you control at the bottom of the Tricep, close to the elbow and put a lot of weight into your forearm.
Next, the arm switching sequence is very important, otherwise your partners/opponents will be able to clasp their hands together. This is not the end of the world, however, if we want the Kimura, it will be beneficial to keep their hands apart. Look at the posture of my body combined with the flair/lift of the elbow.
Next, when you do get the kimura, make sure to lift straight up. This will center your partners elbow between your pectoral muscles and have a great control. It will prevent people from bridging and ripping their elbow down (I could probably make a whole video on this).
Next the hand/knuckles go to the back of the spine. Listen to this part of the video becuase I give some good details about the isolation of the shoulder.
I am a realistic person though and I understand that sometimes people will grab their own pants to stop the rotation of the kimura. When this happen sthe video shows a really great control called the tie off. There are a lot of great finishes that you can get with the tie off, however I believe I show how to finish the Bow and Arrow. Great and powerful submission that works at all levels.

Thanks, Professor. Would love to see the details on how to follow up the tie off, if they don't tap to the bow and arrow or we can't get the initial grip. Oss.
