Just watched yesterday! Loaded with lots of very helpful bits of gardening info. Well worth the time. Going to watch again with a note pad so keep handy.
Great information. I have found the same with small and bare root plants. They establish faster and adapt much better. Also I wish I had known about this genius way of diverting water before we built other infrastructure! 🤯 We save rain water but I have to lug it around. PS I have several green mountain boxwoods in the shade and they are great plants that ask nothing once established and the deer don’t bother them. Perfect.
Beware.....Adding mulch and soil around tree roots will also kill Japanese maples quickly. I killed a big maple by mulching it heavily and a year later it was gone.
