This one...'Saarasa dala nayana sankata harana hare govinda maam paahi' is an exclusive kriti by Dikshitar. being in kamas it will offer a best frame for TNS's s preemptive style of singing ( as we have seen un MDR in his prime days) while the said Ragam very precisely fits into any 'rasa' in slow pace! Layam which is the perception of time is very fundamental factor in music. The flow of time is calibrated. If the unit of calibration is large, the singer and the listener will feel the passage of time as slow which is Vilamba Laya ! Here TNS took up a faster tempo upon commencing the swarakalpana. ....celebrated rendition indeed! birthday wishes...In fact yesterday I did listen his 'Raa Raa Raajeeva Lochana./Mysore vasudavhaarya kriti in 'Mohanam, n did wish him on his Birthday .
