Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (known as Sly Raccoon in Europe and Australia) is a platform stealth video game created by Sucker Punch Productions that was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2002. The game was followed by three sequels, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. On November 9, 2010, Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, as well as its first two sequels, were released together as The Sly Collection, a remastered port of all three games on a single Blu-ray disc as a Classics HD title for the PlayStation 3.
The game focuses on master thief Sly Cooper and his gang, Bentley the Turtle and Murray the Hippo, as they seek out the Fiendish Five to recover his family's "Thievius Raccoonus," a book with the accumulation of all of Sly's ancestors' thieving moves. The game was praised for using a variation on cel-shading rendering, which is used to create a film noir feel, while still rendered as a hand-drawn animated movie, though criticized for being too short.

One of the most underappreciated games ever released.
This is my childhood right here I had sly cooper 1&2 but I was very small and never had the chances to fully enjoy or beat the game then my console stopped working this is very nostalgic and I finally know how to beat it
18 years later and the game still looks as good as the day it released.

The race levels are horrible, which is a shame because the rest of this game is superb.
I never got to finish the very last character before our power went out, and I didn’t have a memory card at the time and left my game on for at least 3 days and bam lost everything lol and never beat it, what caused our power to go out was the 35W bridge collapsed and all of our city’s power went out it was pretty sad finding out 💔rip to all the victims, and I got to get my ending from this video ✊🏽
As a fan of the Assassin Creed series and having played this game back when I was middle school, I will always consider this game to be the precursor/inspiration for the AC series. So many lovely similarities between the two series.
My heart is full with complete nostalgic bliss 🥺. Playing this masterpiece in middle school and growing up with the rest of the series was so fulfilling! Sly cooler will forever be one of my favorite games of all time✨🤞🏾✨

My god. It's nearly been 20 years holy shit! I remember watching my sister play this! I used to play it. And 6 words are engraved in my memory; "Jump and press the circle button"
Raleigh's voice over the speaker in Prowling the Grounds sounded like his real voice, but in The Gunboat Graveyard, his voice over the speaker sounded lower pitched. Also, it sounded like he said "If any of you let him get his hands on that key, I'll personally prolong the heart of you for an entire fortnight!" That was what it sounded like he said.
Found the game! I’ll be hibernating while playing this all weekend on my PS2.
For those of you who don't already know this, when a conversation is taking place on Sly's binocucom in this game, you can move the analog sticks around and their heads will move around in the screens. Try it.
