Went from both 900 Tracers, standard and GT,to the 700cc,and i don't miss the big bike, running around Scotland, ideal size for our roads! Never tried it with a cat, have Arrows downpipes, open can on both bikes I've had, with a K&N and an airbox lid conversion! Cruise is available, from McCruise (MT07). Handguards/indicators location is a f/up,try fitting Fatbars...
If you think the brakes are "not great" try a Ho nda NC750X with a single disc, the Yam is so much better. All bikes with a chain need centre stands for chain maintenance, especially when on tour.

First thing I've noticed is that Yamaha could have done better with those stickers on the side at 00:05
How do you think this would cope 2up? I test rode a cb500x and loved the lightness of the bike and tbe ultra light clutch, this having a quickshifet and more power seems great but you reckon 70hp would be enough gor 2up on motorways etc? Currently own a vfr and while the engine is one of the best sounding ive ever heard the bike itself is a bit of a hippo lol
Depends on total weight. I think the suspension is a bit soft so would need some adjustment. In terms of motorway speed it would be OK but wouldn't pull your face off. I suspect you will miss the vfr power
I have the same bike. I’m 6 foot, or 1.83m and just back from a trip to Wales, getting lots of wind noise and thinking about a deflector, what is the make of the one on your bike please? One point, the quick shifter is not standard, it’s an extra.
Why is 700cc bike a good first bike When I was young in late 70s and 80s 700 cc bike was a big bike. Don't need a centre stand what about oiling the chain,or a new rear tyre.
I recommend staying away from this motorcycle. I bought mine in May of this year, and the clutch failed within the first 1000 km. The dealer here in The Netherlands reported that other owners have the same fault, and they are at the moment clueless when we get the warranty claim. It is such a nice machine, but the clutch issued killed it all.
Putting an exhaust on a bike without a remap won't damage an engine it will just not release the full benefit of the upgrade. Modern bikes have samba sensors that ensure fuel mixture is constantly adjusted if lean etc
It's not about being fast pal. It is however a good package for an early bike. It's a 700cc parallel twin so you can't argue it's slow as it's not designed to be a sports bike.
@@stevesherlockrides its thesame frame same engine of the R7 are you saying thats not a sports bike? lol the tenere the MT07 and our tracer 700 oh and they're restricted to I've already started removing my restrictions because bord out of my brains al I can do is pop wheelies or board out my brains lol
It's simple, if you don't like the bike or think it's crap, then why are you wasting your time watching the video. It's obviously not a bike for you and I'm sure you will remain frustrated with many bikes being launched these days lol.

A centre stand was added from memory

Yepnit is an option, didn't I make that clear sorry. The screen is a puig one. It really did work also.

It's a great starter bike as not over powered and has good comfort. Not sure what your point is re the oiling if chain etc sorry.
To bad it is not in the USA. I had to go KTM.
Did you go the 790/890 Adventure way?
Agreed. The only reason I'm looking at the Versys 650LT is because the T7GT is not available in the U.S.
Good lord all im hearing is really really really.jason jason jason

Sounds like your dealer should be reported as he is giving you bullshit
How so?

Exhaust? Mine has an issue with clutch plates. Care to explain how exhaust is connected to this...or maybe I missed something
Sorry my bad, got confused with another post doh!! Even so I've not heard if anyone with that issue here in the UK. What are you riding now?
YEAH I HAVE AND HAVE TO BE HONEST AND SAY ITS GARBAGE, LIKE THE R7 ITS AS SLOW TRACTOR

@googlelimp9834 neither "bord" nor "board" - it's "bored." As for brains...
Lol
