Fix RFI Issue when turning the Radio on for the first Sixty Seconds. Only affects the MW band.
Headphone Jack.
User Replaceable Lithium Batteries.
Dry Battery Bay.
Overall, this Radio will serve you well, and is a bargain at $15. I would not recommend paying more than $20 USD for it. Celebrate in NYRD style with this KA278, and be Prepared for any Future Emergency Events. A radio of any kind is better than none.

Todderbert it looks like I’m a year behind your video, as I purchased the Han Ron Da -701…😂! Between that and my XHDATA 608-WB I was able to listen to Yellow Radios in stereo…😂!

Hi Todderbert, thanks for the review of the Kaito KA-278. It seems to be a nice emergency radio, but the price has gone up to $24, so I think I'll skip buying this radio. Take care, Todderbert, and have a nice Saturday.
Happy National Yellow Radio Day, Todderbert. That wire antenna may work on the Sangean DT-400W or DT-800 since it has a stereo plug. It's pretty cool they included a wire to enhance FM reception.
Nice radio, with some unfortunate design choices. 1) It would have been better if the batteries were user replaceable. 2) The solar panel is hinged on the wrong side, if you want to put the radio in a window, either the speaker and controls will be facing the window or you can't angle the solar panel. 3) It has USB-C input, but the included cable is USB-A to USB-C, and the box tells you to only use that cable... :-/

3:11 mine came with one too, but it was alligator clipped. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be used for short wave, but I find it helps with Weather band as well, If you clip one of those to it. I wonder if that’s why they included it here.
