Franziska went to Berlin and talked to Sezai and Oktay who are now representing the second and third generations of former guest workers. How do they feel? What challenges are they facing? Let’s learn together.

Actually I'm embarrassed about Fatih Akın, but the movie industry in Germany is so bad that it doesn't matter. Germany is good at dubbing Hollywood movies and Animes but Hollywood regressed over time and Animes in Germany get censored because of brutality (this was better in the past). What about your foreign language skills? If you knew about foreign languages English and German have the same roots indo-germanic.... are similar and easy to learn. Turkish is a agglutinative language, so completely different; similar to Japanese, Hungarian...
German government was looking for people who had primary school degree as maximum for the "guest workers". So the first generation had a lot of difficulties, their newer generations are generally can speak 3 languages.
People who migrated recently from Turkey to Germany can generally speak English.

I have no idea about the numbers but in cities like in Antalya, sometimes I rarely hear Turkish speaking people. I have seen Russians kids who were speaking a mixture of Russian and Turkish languages.
