Kobes style was extremely advanced footwork, midrange shooting, finishing at the rim, elite defender, aggressive offensively, great handle and extremely underated playmaking. Hes basically a less athletic but slightly more skilled version of jordan.
Kobe was an all around player, to be considered a top 10 all time player you need to be very good on both offense and defense. He's also arguably the most clutch player ever he has the most clutch shots made of all time. Also Kobe scored 81 points in a game before, the only person to score more was Wilt Chamberlain with 100 points.
Kobe scored that 62 points in 3 quarters. The entire Mavericks team had 61 points. So Kobe alone outscored the entire team and then the coach sat him the entire 4th quarter because they were so far ahead. A few months after that he scored 81 points which is the second highest scoring performance by a player in the NBA. And in his very last game, just a shell of himself, he dug deep to score 60 points but what made it special is that he took over in the last minutes of the 4th quarter after having a bad shooting night so far, and willed the Lakers to victory on his back. He dropped 55 points on Michael Jordan. That was a very special game too. He scored 42 points in the first half in that game.
No matter where you rank Kobe all time, he is number 1 all time in awesome highlights. You just watched the apex of highlight reels in the nba. And he has hundreds more
Kobe was one of the most exciting and fun basketball players to watch. He had such beautiful form in his shot. Had that killer instinct like Bird, Jordan, and others. He could hit long-distance shots much better than Jordan. Some unbelievable shots that few others could make. You need to look at highlights from Pistol Pete Maravich. Nobody in the world like "The Pistol," and he was doing amazing things with the ball (passing and shooting) a decade before others tried to do it. Probably still my favorite basketball player of all-time. You will be amazed.
Kobe's game i would describe as a killer. A complete killer, offense, defense, deep, mid range, attack the basket, take over a game etc etc. number 2 all time, don't care what the lebronies say, them and their 3 chin whiskers. And in my eyes Kobe is the Goat, when I take into consideration what Kobe was and inspired, putting in more work to his craft than Jordan, speaking five languages, learning a language to talk to a teammate. Playing in a far tougher division( 2000's western conference) than what jordan played in and especially the far weaker conference that lebron played in, in the weakest defensive era of the three. Only thing lebron has inspired, is that flopping is ok...sorry floppers are automatically disqualified from goat conversation.
If u reach a certain amount of fouls in a half, the other team is then awarded the bonus. Which means every time after that specific allowed amount that u could the other team they will automatically receive two free throw attempts. So u can foul the team let’s say 6 times, and then any foul after that results in ur opponent getting two free throw attempts.
Check out Larry Bird, aka Larry Legend Also, the 'bonus' means that a team has hit their foul limit. So instead of the other team getting a throw-in on non-shooting fouls, they get to shoot free throws
The player most similar to Kobe, is Jordan. Obviously Jordan was better, but Kobe was basically Jordan 1.b, Not saying Kobe is right behind Jordan all time, but by play style, they are extremely similar. I got Kobe in my all-time top10, sometimes i feel he is even top5, however with just so many greats, it's highly debatable. I used to be a Kobe hater while he played, even though i acknowledged his greatness, but i hated on Kobe more so because i hated the Lakers, and he was the face of the Lakers, and had Kobe fans as friends trying to tell me he better than Jordan and LeBron lol. But i grew to have huge respect for Kobe as a basketball player and his determination, his determination was unreal, again only topped by Jordan. Black Mamba is one of the most appropriate nicknames a player has ever had, he was deadly.
kobe more skilled but jordan more athletic and gifted. kobe had better footwork, ooffensive skill and better 3 pointer while jordan had bigger hands and jumped higher. kobe is also the most clutch player ever to me since he was never afraid since the moment he stepped on a court to shoot the last shot and has the most game winners ever. i think him and jordan are equally good defenders but kobe being more on ball (locking guys up) and jordan off ball (stealing it/blocking it).
I got Kobe 3rd his game was just complete there wasn't a flaw in it man I miss those days being in highschool we all wanted 2 be like Kobe and I was a die-hard spurs fan but jus loved Kobe that much dude was insane had it not been 4 injuries n bad luck he would be the goat no doubt. But still heck of a talent hasn't been any1 come close 2 him since n prolly never will be in my eyes he was jus greatness personified.

he was every bit as athletic as Jordan in his first 6 years. Age wore on his body quicker than Jordan's.
@Janaesp12 he was athletic but jordans vertical was on a different level
That was very well put.
Kobe scored 60 points in the final game of his career. It was legendary
Kobe’s right there with MJ as his game was so fuxking smooth you can’t compare. And rings.
Vince Carter dunks i think you would love
Kobe 🐐
Kobe is a savage on the court lol 😂❤
Kobe was the def of all around player
The Greatest
Kobe could do everything. Bout as simple as that.
He is the most exciting player to watch. Steph curry is up there 2 but Kobe has the complete offensive package.
Kobe was the closest to mj u will ever see.. he was a pure scorer straight killer.. he could score in any way possible
Jayson Williams would be a wild one.

Michael Jordan: 32.7

Definitely not number two all time but he was definitely amazing and deserves all the respect and admiration
NFL gotta watch 2 of my favorites Mike “A Train” Alstott, or John Lynch

Kobe could do it all, everything and thats why hes so great. You should watch some Shaq highlights you would love it
Vince Carter and Derek Rose highlights
Check out Larry Bird, aka Larry Legend

100 Kobe plays you’ll see more I promise 🤙💯
You should react to kobe’s 81 point game and his final game.
They were in different jerseys because it was the all star game

You should watch HBCU football bands. Deion Sanders coached at Jackson State University.
Other players: Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Shaq, Steve Nash
Kobe modeled his game after Jordan, Jordan is the goat Kobe is top 10 somewhere between 6 and 10
I got Kobe 3rd his game was just complete there wasn't a flaw in it man I miss those days being in highschool we all wanted 2 be like Kobe and I was a die-hard spurs fan but jus loved Kobe that much dude was insane had it not been 4 injuries n bad luck he would be the goat no doubt.
