I'm sorry for laughing at your troubles with the shoot... but when the little goat ran thro I just had to laugh!!! 😃
Lol...I did the same thing...
'Chute', not 'shoot'. Yes, that was funny.
@@craigmooring2091 oops!! Thank you..
@@craigmooring2091 LOL, In that case, "shoot" might very well have been appropriate. 😜
I adore Sandy Brock! That’s one hard working woman there. The crush is great for her sheep but it looks like a cumbersome nightmare for your goats with horns. As they say, “ Nothing ventured nothing gained.” You tried it n well it kinda worked. Meh, you tried.
I love watching Sandi and for her situation with LOTS of animals, all the same size? Yup the crush works wonders!! Your herd is a bit "individual" for it.
Yes I follow Her also. She is amazing and the 🐑 so cute
They work wonderful with sheep
We love Sandi’s channel too! 🐑
Devoted fan here.🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
I love that you watch Sandi! She is one of my favorite UA-camr's!!
I watch Sandi too! She's so much fun!
Her channel is great, love lambing season!
I started by watching Sheepish Me with Sandi and her family, she is just amazing! Her working her sheep’s feet has differences for sure due to the horns. She’s been doing hoof trimming at least twice a year since the beginning, so I’m sure with some trial and effort and experience, you’ll be a pro soon too. This system might not be the best for your goats with horns, but there must be a system out there that is best for you. Work smarter not harder, we aren’t getting any younger and our backs will thank us. Great video again! 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Our favorite videos, GOATS! Sandi is our favorite shepherdess. great channel.
I love that you watch Sandi Brock too!!!! She's my favorite ❤️❤️!!!
Sandi Brock is a working machine. So knowledgeable and well planned and focused. Love her channel.
Love my friend Sandi, thanks for shouting her out. You'll get the hang of it and be faster. Part of the struggle is their horns, part is their goofiness. Does your head hang low, does your tail wiggle to and fro.... Blessings
I love watching her. She works so hard with big groups pf sheep. She is delightful
We love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sandi’s channel! I subscribed to your channel at her recommendation. Glad you ran across her. Good luck this breeding season. Whopper is a really pretty cow. Looks it’s wearing eyeliner.
I love watching Sandy and Brock! They are one of my favorites. I am scared that they are going to break a leg getting them dtuck in the doors.
Sandy and Mark Brock
I love Sandi. I watched you because she mentioned you. She’s great.
That white goat dropping down to its knees and crying made my day! Baaaaaaaaa. I love your channel.
I’ve been following Sandi almost since she began. She’s a fellow Canuck and just absolutely awesome. She does an wonderful job with her sheep and has really helped a lot of people along the way - LOVED the shoutout to her, that’s terrific ❤️
As I understand it, usually most chutes are best used with sheep and de-horned goats. Unfortunately they can be a real pain in the bottom when your goats all have full horns. They’re absolutely awesome otherwise. We borrow one from our very generous neighbour whenever it’s really needed, (and in return I clip all her herd for her prior to doing ours), but for the most part I just trim our goats feet while they’re standing on the milking stand. But ours are all polled or dehorned, so I don’t have to worry about horns waving around my head either lol.
Sandi has a great channel, it’s on my can’t miss list.
I think that chute is best designed for sheep and disbudded goats. (Don’t most goat farmers have the horns removed?) So, probably not a good fit for farmers with horned goats.
Next time Rufus needs his hooves trim, use that machine! This is what I want to see! Lol
I agree!!! That would most likely work and Rufus wouldn't try to kill Daniel !!!
@@sharonnowlin2297 that's what was thinking! Of course he would be spitting all over the place!
Can't you just see that?! When it came to my mind, I just about laughed till I cried.
Yeah, but where would you put his long neck? Rufus, I mean.
@@karencox3626 I guess you would have to put it out the front just like the goats do! Or you could contact the company who makes those IF they have ones for "Donkey Poodles." ????
Sandy Brock is an one good video to watch. She knows her sheep and always has a smile.
Howdy Daniel. I just wanted to tell you that I look forward to watching your videos on the regular. You have a great life and are truly blessed.
Here from watching Sandy and her sheep...great to find your channel !
Been Benge watching Sandi lately. She leave me glued to the screen so much. Lately UA-cam keeps trying to dork with her videos because she was discretely showing breeding..... Gezzz It's farm life! The concrete jungle needs to understand that out her in the country our children see this and they survive because they understand and we make sure they learn this is just a process in life that is just normal life on a farm. It's what keeps the farm paying the bills.
So interesting you mentioned Sandi Brock. I am in Ontario Canada along with Sandi. I am not a farmer, but I watch your channel as well as Sandi's. You both have the same love of animals. That just makes my day!
O my gosh!!!! Poor Daniel! I couldn’t help but laugh at your escapades with the goat shoot . You sure are a good sport!
I had a Dairy Goat farm years ago and I can see where this system would work just PERFECTLY. However all of our Dairy Goats were disbudded or polled so no horns to contend with. Very nice system just not with horned goats. For the laying down goats you could rig up a belly band to hold them up in the middle. You could try backing in ,from the front , the horned goats. That might work.
Vivian Winford the problem with that is the smaller goats can weasel through that crack and some of the bigger goats might be able to do the same.
Love Sheepishly Me...Sandi does a great job with her sheep!!!
Love Sandi Brock! Never miss a video. The shoot works great for her sheep! Guess the horns and the size differences makes it more difficult.
Valbaizan wormer works great. We use it on our sheep. We love Sandy. She is amazing!!
Nice call out to Sandi Brock and the Sheepishly Me channel! You both are my favorite UA-camrs!
What is funny to me is that I watch Sandi's channel and because I watch her, that is how I discovered your channel. One thing Sandi points out is that it takes a few tries to get her sheep used to new handling methods. The more she "runs" them through the various handling methods the less trouble she has, unless there is a shadow. Then again, she doesn't have the horn issues.
Devoted to Sandi...Awesome lady. When I saw your shoot, I immediately thought of her/ I look forward to your post as well. It makes my day seeing Houston and Dad doing simple daily things like fishing. It warms my heart.
You still got dreams coming true! I 🙏 everyone and their animals be safe from the virus and heavy storms around. God Bless You all, Mr.Daniel go is always on you and your 👪 side.
Watch Sandy all the time. Good channel!
Cant believe that you shouted out to Sandi @Sheepily Me. I have been a fan of hers for over a year. I love that you watch her and yes she uses the animal shut as well.
Sheepishly me by Sandi Brock is one of my favorite channels to watch! Awesome shout out!
Those chutes are definitely a better fit for Sandi. Her sheep don't have horns. lol I watch Sandi all the time, too. I love her channel, esp during lambing.
Love watching Sandi, she was so happy you gave her a haller. Also love #bluecactusdairygoats & #weedem&reep
@12:23 Yay Sandi! A Great Canadian Farmer - one of my other fave farm channels!
Thankyou daneil i watch sandi brocks channel all the time her vlogs are awesome and the sheep are cute! She was so excited and inpressed you talked about her on your video! And she said go check you out as well! Thats awesome!
I love Sandi she’s incredible and I’ve seen her use those things all by herself❣️Maybe shorten their horns? Lol sorry I dunno poo about any of this just want to help😊
Love Sandy and her sheep channel!
Sandi Brock....a good ole Canadian gal with a great channel as well.
Love your channel! Will take a little getting use to with the gate and the goats. Laughed like crazy when that small one just ran threw. Keep the videos coming
I absolutely LOVE Sandi Brock!!! I watch her videos all the time!! I've watched her use her chute multiple times. When she's trimming and vaccinating, she is running her fully grown adult ewes and rams. She does not use the squeeze chute on any of the ewe lambs or ewe rams, only the fully grown adult ones.
With all the different sized goats you have, those little ones would need to be done the way you usually do them. Obviously the bigger ones would be best to be run thru that chute.
This was also your first time as well as your goats first time with that chute. The more you use it and the goats use it, the easier it will get for all of you. Sandi's sheep, for the most part, are trained to go into her chute. I think it would also benefit you to have someone else with you to work the goats thru the chute. Someone like DeeJay or your oldest son, whose name escapes me right now 🤦♀️, or maybe EmmaLee maybe. I think Houston would be too small to help where needed.
I do believe the more you and the goats work with that chute, the more you will like it. It just takes getting used to, for both you and the goats.
I wish you the best of luck with the chute and the goats going thru the chute!!! I really do hope it works out for you!!!
coming here from Sandi Brock’s “Sheepishly Me”
Which I love watching Sandi with her 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏. Love watching the video Daniel. Love how whopper is liking u know.
I can’t wait until we get our Homestead
Good luck and God Bless John. Live the dream!
Me too.
I think the chute would be an asset with a humans age and physical abilities as well as with bigger goats especially with smaller or no horns ... Also like you said you don't have many goats ... Bending over 30+ times can stress the lower back ...
Great video!!! I struggled a bit also with this unit, but still a great chute! Love those panels!!
Thanks Sandi! I do think it's a great design but you probably use a few improvements or as least an extra person!
😊😊😊😊😊 so cool to see two channels I regularly watch interact😊😊
@@Rin_Evans Ditto!
I watch both of you guys you guys are the best
@@ArmsFamilyHomestead
Hey
I love watching Sandy Brock and her family, she does an amazing job with her sheep.
I think the shoot would work better with dehorned goats.
Chute not so good with horns.. Love Sandi, her and her family are amazing !!! Love Arms Family too :)
I Love to watch Sandy! Small world. lol that is so cool
I wish I were as blessed as y’all but I’m thankful for what I got better than nothin.
Hi love the vid your the best your so inspirational
Great review video over the spin chute. Nothing like working goats by yourself. Can't wait to try our spin chute out. Isaac is a beast with those horns. I've got a remedy to get your old nanny goat back to health.
Talk to Matt Carriker from Demolition Ranch! He has a full business of making shirts and hats! He is also a Veterinarian. He lives in Texas.
I recommended Bunker Branding too !!!!
Love your channel! Please pray for my State of Louisiana and especially where I live in Winn Parish! We got hit hard by Hurricane Laura Thursday and it looks like a lot of destruction to homes and property but luckily no one in our area was critically injured by the storm.
Was anyone else distracted at 1:40 by the dog licking the goats behind? I always look at what's going on around and this time I was not disappointed!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Sandy mentioned you in her latest video she said thank you for mentioning her
Great video. Was really cool watching you use the machine for the 1st time. For never using it before you looked like a pro. God bless & be with you all always ❤ 🙏 💙🇺🇲
I just want to say thank you for helping me get through this Hurricane by watching your videos from lake Charles L.A.
I hope you didn’t have too much damage. I have been praying for all in the path of the storms & wildfires. Hugs☺️
I’m a future homesteader and I love to watch your videos. This video cracked me up!! You’re so funny
Wow . You sure know how to case those poor babies pain. Really wow. Screaming as you pull on there tail!
LOL. the one that laid down... just like a toddler in a temper tantrum. Haha
Congrats on hitting 400k, that setup would be really good for sheep and polled goats.
I just want to thank you all if the Arms family for providing quality entertainment with a christian back ground so thank you
I think for someone who has debudded goats/sheep this is an absolute dream
Well, that shoot isn’t very efficient, is it? Tedious!! And Sandi Brock ROCKS!!!
And i bet the people who sent the shoot, are re-evaluating their Gizmo.
Can't wait to see your hunting video s your a good family. Thanks for giving me a renewed vision of people.
Thanks for staying honest with your review of products like this one! I'd love to hear more about this if you're able to get it adjusted where you like it.
Thank you. Enjoyed the video. I hope every one is doing good. Hope the kids are doing well with school. Tell Dejay I said hello. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
I absolutely love an honest review! Thank you for not just giving a great review and wasting our time!
Instructional, Learned something new and that's the videos I really lLOVE!!! Thanks! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤❤❤❤❤💙🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🐐🐶🐓🦃🐷🐖🐠⛵⚓
Hey Daniel, I watch Sheepishly Me and Sandi is so good to her sheep my favorite are the bottle babies. And to think she does it most of the time by herself. I'm sorry but I had to laugh when things were not going just right, but when life gives you lemons you make lemonade lol. I can see the problems with the horns and smaller goats maybe there is another style of chute to use, you tried its just not the right one for you. So whats next for AFH keep up the good work and see you in the next video🤔💉🐐👍😉
Sandi told me about you, so I've come for a look.
Hi
Thank you for the great video, thank you for letting us see the donkey's their looking great can't wait for baby stay safe an cool family
Thank you for your honest review of the product. This product mean for large herd owner or animal you can not control. Cheers!
Sandi is awesome and the lambs are sooooo cute. When she feeds the mommas the lambs race up and down the pens. It is adorable.
I love watching Sandi’s channel! Hey use the new buck as well!
I love goats . They always make you smile . You have nice stock .
Your little goat that wouldn’t stand up cracked me up! I enjoyed watching the trials and tribulations of medicating your goats!
I love to watch Sandi Brock’s channel too!!
Congrats on the 400000 Stubbs.your growth is deserved , but amazingly fast🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
That little guy knew exactly what he was doing!
I watch that UA-camr too. She amazing with her sheep.
Came to see this video because Sandi from Sheepishly Me said she got a shout out. Glad I did, I like your channel!
Thanks for sharing your farm and family. I’m an old guy who is enjoying your work since I can’t do itany more.
Thanks for the entertainment with my morning coffee.
Love your videos and your family! Keep them coming Daniel! We are city kids that have done horses, llamas, goats, and chickens, ducks and geese. Big fans!
What about the dog liking the goats butt I love arms family
So, I wasn't the only one that saw Bear do that, lol.....yuck!
He want to breed them
*licking. Bawhahahaha I'm guessing he was liking it though.
Sniffing butts is how dogs get to know other animals, granted usually other dogs, and it's how they recognize animals they've met before.
@@nellmarie98 ....LOL I'm pretty sure we all know that. He wasn't just sniffing he was licking and we were joking about it.
You treat your animals so kind.
Sandy brock is one of my favs! Also Ima Survivor Sanctuary mentioned you and your goat knowledge the other day:) its crazy the circle of vlogs!
Awww Bears wants some love. Omg had to chuckle a few times. Maybe with the bigger one yeah, little ones take down lol. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
The squeeze shoot was interesting, but it seems you can work them much quicker handling them on your own.. Good video Daniel... This was a learning lesson for all of us... Thanks for sharing👍
Thanks for the informational video. I was first drawn to your channel for the information on goats and cattle. I'm looking at retirement in the next few years and can use all the info I can get to get my farm started. Thanks.
You need at least 2, if not 3, people working the shoot/table. I’ve never seen one person working a cattle shoot. I would have loved to had that table when working with my goats. Keep up the good work
Maybe this will help the manufacturer see what needs adjusted or improved.
Goats are so much smarter then sheep. Love sandi’s channel, too.
You made Sandi's day when you mentioned her! I love both channels.
Look at that 400k!!!
Been here since last year and these vids have improved a lot but they were never actually bad!!
Sandi Brock with Sheepishly Me is awesome! I love watching her videos as much as I love watching yours. I definitely can see the difference in using the press shute with sheep versus goats with horns. Great demonstration.
Hello, I hope You all are doing well. God bless you and your family.
