I’m Vegas local who doesn’t climb, but loves scrambling and hiking all the canyons on that side of Red Rock. Absolutely insane to think about doing all of that in one go. Also just makes me feel very grateful to live so close to such a special and beautiful place. Great video!
As someone who hikes/backpacks a little bit and climbs even less, this is mind-blowing to hear about an adventure like that. So inspiring knowing something like that is even within the realm of human possibility. It honestly makes me want to start pushing myself harder to be able to accomplish something in a similar spirit.
Thank you for sharing. I've climbed in Red Rocks a few times - I start reading through the list of climbs... nodding... uh huh I've climbed that, oh yeah and that too... oh... then the word downclimb!! Oh... no... I couldn't do that ;o) and solo, wow. Well done Alex on the whole traverse and well done Chris for keeping-up to film :o)
Still out there innovating! Hard to imagine from this classically understated summary, but the stats hint at how massive an endeavor this was. Gotta see some of this footage!
Wow. His fitness level is astounding. The impact of sleep deprivation in decision making is well documented and his ability over such an extended period of time is mind blowing.
I think he got really dumb at this point. Although the feat itself is surreal, intentionally free solo climbing with no sleep is plain stupidity, not a challenge. Someone should remind him that climbing should be fun.
That was a great interview! I was wondering why it stopped at Black Velvet and not Windy Peak, but you discussed it in the video and it makes sense. Going further south provides less challenges. Congrats on your journey Alex and great interview Chris.
i just did Tunnel vision in a party of 3 and we took about 5hrs!! hes insane nobody will ever do a second ascent of this insane link up....just wow! i dont belive hes a human!! more people will walk on the moon and mars then will ever do this!
Well this would be near impossible to fully film. Each of those peaks are like full day hikes for fit people 😂 Woukd be cool to get footage of Alex climbing those peaks though, even with a rope. Red Rock Canyon's mountains are a hidden treasure.
They made a movie out of it. It’s on Reel Rock 17. It’s called HURT, aptly named Honnolds Ultimate Red Rock Traverse. The footage is amazing. Look it up.
EPIC!!! 👏👏 I've done a lot of those individually as separate scrambles, but this is a feat only from the likes of Alex Honnold accompanied by Chris Gorney. I love seeing this.
It is time for Alex to start just having fun and not caring about pushing the limits. He has achieved enough already. Solo climbing while being sleepless starts to sound very dumb, not impressive.
Do not glorify a risk taker. I ride a motorcycle and wear full gear because you can never predict every fatal danger. Being prepared with safety gear goes a long way mitigating external random situations. He's the equivalent to riding without a helmet, in flip flops, and t-shirt. Moto GP riders wouldn't even think about riding without. Not a fan.
Just got done watching the full 2 episodes on reel rock and that whole thing just looks absolutely insane!! I’d be stoked to be there😅
Maybe I’ll be coming here for another birthday trip😂

I love watching alex come up with these wild goals and achieve them.
Crazy effort. Soloing epinephrine after crushing it through red rock for a day and a night without sleep. Unreal.

Go for it man
Fantastic! You both are legends in our local hiking/climbing community! Keep up the fantastic adventures, and THANK YOU for sharing them with us!!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
He is a total legend.

I love how something so epic is off the radar of his sponsors and on a small youtube channel.
What a gem this channel is
Thank you! 🙏🏼

I'm proud to say I did just one of these (Tunnel Vision). Been to most of the other peaks, but by easier routes.

Incredible stuff, thanks for posting this! I am looking forward to watching more of your content!
Hope it gets your channel more recognition, deserves it

Great get Chris! Always appreciate Alex's perspectives, nice interview!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great get!!! Stoked for an interview for him to explain this
Great effort, and great video, Chris! (irrespective of the mic issue, we could still hear well :)
Thank you! 🙏🏼
so creative and inspiriational. His link ups are so great.

@@mountainhighadventures awesome. Thanks Chris.
Não vi até hoje ninguém escalar melhor que Alex. Valeu
Im not sure this is even conceivable by most people. It’s possibly one of his most stunning projects to date.
Love seeing this. So cool
very cool seeing this... never did it on one push, but I've done the vast majority of it... very cool 😎👍
Such an amazing feat

Nice Chris! And your guest seems like a pretty cool guy too!
Wow, great effort guys!
Very cool Chris!
You two seem to click really well together!!!
Amazing place there. Climbed and lived there in 2002 and 03.
Did lots of hiking and rock climbing there. Wow that's cool he did that !!
Historic
He food for thought, if you have a interview out side. Make sure the mics are good lol
It didn’t even cross my mind lol
Nice, way to go! 🤘
So sick
love the video. hearing honnold was hard.
Whole Nother Level!
Super inspiring Alex!
Epic.
super rad!
Hat dude: Amazing!
Honnold: uhhyeah
this is insane
Great effort! The video deserves better audio though.
It sure does, too bad we didn’t have a professional microphone out there in the desert! 🤣🤣
When I saw the title I thought Alex was going to run a 100 mile race in Hawaii… lol 😅
What happened to the guy on the right pants?
It’s a shadow.
Siiick
😮
Alex Honnold did that? Oh where is he, I'd like to look at him!
That's a nice hair-do
So is Epi an easy climb if you don't have to place gear? 😆😃
Absolutely crazy to think about. It just shows how many levels there are to climbing.
Epinephrine - Black Velvet Canyon on Supertopo
I just bouldered in red rocks. Come climb with me Alex i need a belay partner. 🙏
I live in scotland we don't have any fixed gear here. I don't understand why there is elsewhere. Can't you just leave the mountain untouched?
+ Alex, would love the Cuillin Ridge, on isle of Skye!
Im gonna try that in a couple years once I get more outdoor/free solo experience
I love Alex! I want him to stop climbing! He has done so much awesome shit! I want him to live a long life!
It is time for Alex to start just having fun and not caring about pushing the limits. He has achieved enough already. Solo climbing while being sleepless starts to sound very dumb, not impressive.
This guy is good, but Alex Honnold could climb it better.
Alex is going to keep upping the ante until he breaks.😢
sorry, but the audio quality is awfull

That this man or any parent would continue to risk likely death should be criminal. Get a grip on your EGO Alex and be a parent.
I’ve always wanted to climb the ridges and hit the peaks in one go and he traversed it all beast 🫣💪
