Going back to this song after this series has grown so much, I had a revelation that changed the way I looked at this song. If "A Life Sent On" played by Noah and Mio was meant to carry the voices of the departed, then "The Way" carries the voice of the survivors who are still grieving. And when you think about the cutscenes this songs play in, it definitely checks out
OP, it's funny you mention A Life Sent On, because a couple chords of this sound so much like that, and ThemeX, the instrumental arrangement of this track, has a similar reflection in Where We Belong.

This song really catches the theme of Xenoblade Chronicles X. It makes me want to cry and tell someone who says "I want to go home!" that "We can't go home! This is our home now. 😔"
I've literally just started playing the game. I fell in love with practically everything about it. This is criminally stuck on nintendo hardware. Please just free it from its cage and release it for the PC crowd and watch the multiplayer spring to life massively.

Monolith soft's head director already confirmed they're moving away from X's world their next game will be more story driven/focused since they received alot of fan complaints that the story was weird/weak.
Man, that kind of sucks. I hope they don't ret-con this world out of existence. I'm not against them shifting the focus to other worlds so we can see what's going on with the other survivors or anything, but we haven't seen everything Mira has to offer.
The raw passion the vocals and every instrument have... Her beautiful voice that pushes as hard as it can, even if it almost neglects technique at some points, giving her performance raw personality... Sawano's mastery of progression, drum grooves, and overall flow of the instruments... One of my favorite vocal performances and overall songs ever
Agreed, the instrumentation is masterful. You would NEVER be able to get a performance like this via software sequencing. And agreed, her pronunciation is a little wonky but it’s still an amazing performance

I beat the game last fall. I wouldnt call it amazing. It has issues. But it was a very unique and good experience
