Amongst an overpopulated sea of polished and perfected records, this album is genuinely a breath of fresh air. The In Utero inspiration definitely comes across, in the sense that you feel like you're actually sat in the room while the recording is taking place, it has all the rough edge and charm of the early Sun Studio's Elvis Presley sessions. Definitely hear some Stones sprinkled across a few of the tracks too, mainly the closing track "Aeroplane". There's one line he sings that mimicks a piece of Mick's melody for the Stones' track "Angie".
