"My" 13 year old Tortie mom is bipolar with her last surviving kitten (born in the wild 4/5 where likely killed by ferret-sized wildlife at age of 20-ish hours, mommy is just too much of a scaredycat.). She wants belly-rubs-like-a-puppy from me while feeding her kitten, which too often can result on using her suckling kitten as a flail. She occasionally "just stands up and walks around, disregarding the baby, clinging to her tit, till a knee-high nest-border is hit gently. mom wants cuddles from me as soon as her baby is semi-satisfied (possibly missing the 4 other sucklers), but cuddles get interrupted by her cold-screaming kitten within 1 minute, causing a back-and-forth that repeats 10x, till i just "let her outside". i need to cage the kitten in a warm and safe place, to keep mom and baby calm, so mom can have "time to hunt and poop outdoors" and the "slightly overweight kitten" can find warm and stable resting place to nap. this weekend a full moon adds to this craze, not just cuddles but also a hunting-party is being asked for me to form.
