Sports have no place for politics an views, those are the things you put aside when your on a team with someone. 10 years ago when I was graduating you didn't talk about your political views, you also didn't care about your brothers that played with you. You looked at them like family an didn't talk about politics bc we already live a different life everyone of us life is different so why bring stuff up and talk about stuff that will have others not want to play with you or for you depending on the sport and position. Smh these athletes say yeah I got this platform might as well use it an to be honest they don't live in the real world like the rest of society, they get to play a game for work an even practice squad players make more or the same as someone with a decent job an may even be more than 50k it used to be. They complain that it's not alot of money bc they try to keep up with people making millions or hundred of thousands of dollars a year. It's still a good job an more than alot of people make just to play a game they enjoy, they aren't in a Corp or mill they hate but have to do it for family an bc of them making the NFL they can always have a job an make money by connections they make with people on their journey. So anyone that acts like we don't know what we are talking about bc they brush shoulders and shake hands with million and billionaires to tell us what we should believe is crazy. Before they talk about politics they need to drop out the league and work a 9-5 5-6 days a week or go to a mill and work 7-28 days straight for 12hrs a day an live a modest life and jot play a game before you talk about politics and see what it's like as an adult an learn from the experiences and not what they were told coming up and what Twitter and espn thinks is right. Basically they just need to shut up about politics bc when this blows over and this woke shit ain't cool no more and it's proved to completely fuck up our society they will regret all this so called being woke shits over bc it's all bs they bring these numbers an stats an tell you what they want you to hear they don't tell you the variables and all the correct numbers they will use one side and not look at the other. We already look like a bunch of idiots to the rest of the world other countries news outlets are literally laughing and joking about how week we have become the last 2 2.5 years. Before one of you come at Me bout saying woke shit Is dumb better get your facts straight bc I don't care how you feel or what hurts your feelings bc you aren't a fact your one part in alot bigger equation and without stats and facts to back your feelings an claims up your opinion and the way you feel is irrelevant, the world don't owe you a damn thing neither does this country. If you think anyone or anything owes you for whatever reason grow up and realize your not guaranteed nothing in this world not another day or your next breath so grow up an live in the real world and not in this little fake crap they want to push or try to make you believe
Boy u r slow in the head. Slow. Most of these athletes were broke growing up in impoverished neighborhoods and spent so much time trying to get professional and make money and get they're family out of poverty. So on the contrary, theyve lived more of whats considered a "real life" in society than u ever will
You know I was gonna just go in on you but I'll just say this I'm not ignorant mfer I know it gets then in better situations I have a couple good friends be drafted and guys that where like family to me an always was you know why? Teams aren't just teams they are like family an one thing you don't do at family events is talk politics why bc even people born an raised by the same people but have different experiences can have different views. You literally are doing the opposite of what sports do for people when you talk politics in sports. It dont bring people together its something that tears things apart look at our countries new networks or anything to do with politics rn is that what you want sports to become a back and forth about who's right who's wrong who's smart who's dumb bc that's what is going to happen when politics get involved either sports and I'm already tired of it tearing people apart but you probably are so dumb you think it's reality tv

You can injury you hamstring doing almost anything. You could easily hurt your ham and lower back with a bad deadlift, and why does football get all the attention? There is also hockey and combat sports.
As tough as Football is, rugby is the Gladiator sport of our time...no pads, no helmets (well they're both gladiator sports). That said, there are also people trying to remove rugby from schools.
I think Jaxon Smith-Ngiba injured his hamstring being tackled during the Ohio State v. Notre Dame game last year. It's probably an outlier, though. He also tried to come back from the injury instead of quitting. Good points by everyone on the panel.
I beg to differ. My granddaughter was about to make a goal with the soccer ⚽ and from behind was flipped up in the air by the opponent. She came down real hard and injured her ACL. But it was because she was attacked from behind trying to prevent her goal. She was their top player. Was this deliberate Yes, did they want her to be hurt and out of the game for almost a year with ACL injury? I'm not sure. She went back to soccer for a short time but had the fear of another injury. She wanted to go to another sport like volleyball or basketball. Mind you she excelled in all sports she played and her scholastics she always got honors. But decided it was best to stop playing contact sports for now. I encouraged her to continue but said she may later on college. She's a junior in highschool now. But my point is that Joy was talking about polls and statistics not speaking from her own opinion. I'd rather hear her opinion. It's a lot more funny to hear what she has to say 😆 The laughs you get from Joy is what makes the show popular. They all have a good time on the View. Joy and Whoopie are not going anywhere and neither is The View. Joy has never liked tackle football for youths and has stated that a number of times. My father in law stopped his son from playing in his last 2 years after several head injuries. Plus he had macular degeneration at 15. Not all people feel this way about contact sports. I love football and encourage our kids to play every sport like I did. It has a positive affect on our kids and makes them well rounded, disciplined and better social skills. Just take what Joy and Sunny say with a grain of salt. I do if I don't agree. Why attack them for having their own view, it's called the View lol. Can you admit you just don't like The View because it's liberal leaning? That's why more than half the country agrees with The View. The right leaning talk shows are not always nice and very hard to watch.. but at least the View fact checks and makes rebuttal statements from the people and subjects they are talking about. Most everything they say is fact checked. Not always an opinion. They back it up and make sure they include the rebuttal and fact checks from other sources. Those other shows do not do this. That's why I like The View.. Without Joy and Whoopie there would be No "View".
I’m 61 yrs old and I live in Australia. We have women playing in professional AFL, Rugby Union, Rugby League and A League soccer. No one here has an issue with it. The women have their own leagues and the men have theirs. Both the mens and womens game attendance levels are great and both sexes attend each other’s games. This also goes for basketball, netball and cricket. Australians will watch and attend any sporting event regardless of which gender it may be. The U.S. should get on board with it and come out of the dark ages. As far as the hamstring injury goes, I’ve never seen anybody, male or female, tear a hamstring whilst being tackled. It will happen if you take off suddenly, turn the wrong way, or overstretch while striding out. I’ve witnessed hard, bone rattling tackles in all forms of football whether it be Aussie Rules football, rugby league or rugby union over fifty years of my life and guess what - not one ended with a hamstring injury. By the way guys, we don’t wear pads or helmets over here and in many ways our 4 main football codes all are much more deserving of the title ‘football’ than the NFL which consists of guys running into each other and throwing the ball. Only guy who kicks it is the punter and that’s a rarity in itself. And guess what, the best punters in the NFL are imported from Australia ! As far as the poorest excuse for a talk show on tv “The View”, the less said about those leftwing, hypocritical, whining, room temperature IQ mentalities who are trying their utmost to make themselves relevant in an ocean of diahorea, the better. Joy Behar was a dithering moron in the 1990s and it’s good to see that she stayed true to character ever since and hasn’t let the team down ! Haha 😂😂😂

If they went to school on a sports scholarship then the degree means nothing lol. Those guys don’t have to do anything in class. The degree is just a piece of paper.
I think more of us have better lives due to academics than football. But I’m sure football/basketball helped out a few.
@@mikepalmer1971 even without a football scholarship… most university degree are still just piece of paper…

Such GREAT comments and insight!!!
I love how they applaud her son being a quitter. That's the world we live in unfortunately.
My youngest son wanted to play football. He was very small and barely made weight to be allowed to play. I hated it. But I did not let him quit. He finished the season. His team was undefeated. They lost the first playoff game and I was happy. Js
I did pull my brain strings once it's very hard to think after recovery..
Yea that’s great advise from the view. When life hands you a little opposition, quit! Don’t worry all successful men use this method
Thank y’all
Top 3 sports shows for me in no particular order is: Pat McAfee Show, Crain and Co, and The Oklahoma Breakdown with Gabe and Teddy...
Keep on killing it guys!!
… but we’re not analyzing the risk of not doing something.”!!!!!
This is the truth right here!
I’ve proclaimed the value of bullies. People think this is bad but when a generation is raised without having to stand for themselves as children and instead taught that the “authority” is there to protect them, you create weak men who create weak times!!!
Totally agree when I'm having a back and forth with someone (usually a leftists) and it's getting no where. Then they start with a cheep insult my response usually is... *Well it's sad that your biggest accomplishment in life was when the kindergarten teacher gave everyone who showed up a participation ribbon.* Stay safe wish you and those close to you nothing but the best.
Not believing for a second that Sonny Hostin’s kid “quit” football after getting injured. She pulled him out.
Exactly
Nailed it!
This is just sickening! We are neutering our men!!!! Literally and figuratively.
13:50 they are calling soccer football because that is what it's called pretty much everywhere else in the world. Soccer is played with feet and a ball. American football is played with hands and a prolate spheroid. Come on, Knowles, don't be knowless!
That hasn't changed for pretty much a century and we've NEVER referred to soccer as football in this country. Call it whatever you want in other parts of the world, here it's soccer.
I know it as football....soccer I can't stand to watch.I tried...not happening.Its a option....you don't like? Don't watch! I don't like any of the rotating cast of the View....so guess what? Yep....I don't watch it.
@@ateam137 Strange though calling a sport football where only 2 players are allowed to kick the ball. They are other sports like Gaelic football ,Australian football where the ball is handled a lot ,but everyone is allowed to kick the ball and have to in certain circumstances.Nothing wrong it ,but its strange
@@ateam137 yeah, and men can call themselves women too in America. I'm not telling anyone how to call soccer. I'm just explaining why people call it football.
@@deniseuhlry9988 did you miss your anger management session again? Relax, man. My comment isn't about "watching" anything. Wtf even brings up the view on a conversation about why soccer is called football, anyway? 😂😂😂
When The View is airing the collective iq of the nation drops 20 points.
Every time Sonny, Joy, and Whoopi talk I wonder about their names.. how can people so bitter and miserable have those names?
I can't believe between the 4 of you that no one picked up on the way they used words that subconsciously relate playing football to addiction.
That “only 45% of Americans think tackle football is appropriate” is either complete BS or is about 6 year olds & she didn’t want to mention that
Ask her how many Americans believe a LGBTQ agenda in gradeschool is appropriate.
Ask her how many people believe Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and Fauci should be indicted.
Ask her if adults should be allowed to "help" children can chose their sex without parental consent.
How dare conservatives support your right to do what you want as long as you’re not violating others.
Doctors were baffled....lol
Everybody likes a cat fight 🤣
Bo Jackson was tackled and ripped his hamstring. It also pulled his hip out of socket and caused the hip pointer that forced his retirement
BS.
Ummm…that hip pointer/ripped hamstring was a fractured hip, and broken blood vessels causing damage to his pelvis. THAT is what forced him to retire. You need to watch the Bo Jackson 30 For 30 episode by ESPN.
Bo was so strong, it did tear his hip out. Watch the clip
There is literally a rule in every rule book because of what happened to Bo Jackson. Its the horse collar tackle rule
“Don’t accuse?” They openly accuse conservatives of crimes and call them liars on air literally, frequently.
Who the heck even watches the view? It comes on when most people are working.
I’m not a father but, I probably wouldn’t want my kid to play football mostly because it’s the only sport without guaranteed contracts 😂
baseball is the sport
Football does have guaranteed contracts 😂😂 but there’s a 99.99% chance your son is not going to get any kind of contract

The NFL would never have grown like it did without revenue sharing and then a salary cap.
I believe MLB could be much bigger/national fan interest with a cap and revenue sharing.

Having a cardiac arrest has nothing to do with the violence of the sport. Reggie Lewis of the Celtics died from a sudden cardiac arrest during practice in the early 90’s….basketball practice! The former president of the Colorado Rockies Keli McGregor was found dead in his hotel room back in 2010 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Its not a football related injury. It can happen to anyone at anytime.
Growing up My family spent Sundays watching NFL football and on the holidays It was huge to watch the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving and of course bowls that happened over that weekend. now When I got married I had 3 sons. And our favorite time together was watching college football on Saturday and the NFL on Sunday. I think the View would rather have our sons swimming against Women.
My son calls American Football 🏈 'Hand Lemon'. The ball is shaped like a lemon 🍋, and you carry it in your hands 🙌 rarely use your feet.
You can tell Knowles watches Crowder, they talk about that Macdonald video all the time. Love me some Knowles and Crowder

I never knew the Barbara Walters was like that 🤔🤔🤔🤔
They gotta make it about digging against the right!
One thing with Hamlin. He had alot of people on their knees praying
Pulled a hamstring carrying diesel fuel to a roof but still do it to this day!!🤔

What would they say, if they heard about Chuck Hughes. I was about 9 years old , and was watching that game
Young Men should ignore all external factors weakening them, and search within themselves for strength and truth, and find a mentor who exhubes characteristics they wish to obtain. My view, is the view should get tackled right out of media.
You can injury you hamstring doing almost anything. You could easily hurt your ham and lower back with a bad deadlift, and why does football get all the attention? There is also hockey and combat sports.
Hey competitive cheerleading has one of the highest concussion rates. Don't hear anyone wanting to shut that down.

I bet it was 45% for kids, not all football!
Love Norm! There will never be another like him😢
'The View' always reminds me of the Stygian witches of mythology, who share one eye or one 'View' of the world.
We refer to the View as the Coven of evil (bitches) witches.
My son quit..... crowd claps.... kinda says where we are these days
She's full of it! Her son tore a hamstring and was worried that could happen to his brain? 🤣

That is their daily ritual.
Haha 😂😂😂
When I was in sixth grade every NFL team wanted me they said I could play right after high school they are gonna lie about my age and fake documents so I went to college so I’ll be eligible as a free agent plus millions in signing bonuses but during one football game in sixth grade i kicked the football stubbed my toe and it hit me if I can get hurt this easy I better quit so I gave up all that money and my dreams because there might be a chance I could get hurt 😂😂😂😂
Is this Joe Biden’s secret account? Just wondering. I was waiting for a Cornpop reference 😂
They all need members. As members of the teenie weenie beanie club , it appears that none of the toys can or will ever fulfill them.
The View should change the name of their show to The Wingnuts.
Joy never mentioned where her facts came from.
Heaven forbid any of those cackling hens come to the UK and watch rugby!!
Sunny’s son got an athletic scholarship and she bragged about it for years.
They should watch Rugby here in South Africa basically football without any armour .... It is 10x more brutal than football. In rugby you have to stomp your own teammate to release the ball from before you get penalized 😂😂... I wonder what these guys on the view will think about it 🤣
