hey hey... i just bought a heat gun, so i though id try it out today. wanted to say, it works well. heat up the copper and the metal. and it loosens the glue as well. cut both ends, and then when cooled down a bit, just pull the copper out.. it took me 10 min. i ddn't have gloves on.. CHEERS Canada.
You need to build a insulated room for your compressor , dampers the sound and draws clean air . On the job site I lean a sheet of plywood up against the compressor or generator to deflect the sound away from me , it helps . 👍🇨🇦
@@ScrappingwithGrandpa battery power tools have much improved , but when it comes to production plug in or air powered tools beat them every time . But if you have a lot of extra time to burn , go battery . 👍🇨🇦
Followed a similar path. Thought the best of my life was coming home from Iraq. Then I got married and it blew homecoming out of the water. A few years later I had a few kids and knew that would never be beat. Boy was I mistaken. Got a divorce and finally experienced true freedom. The best day of my life was without a doubt, the day the judge signed the papers. Fuck that shit!!!!! Over rated.......
That is a good idea and I’ll let everybody know what that is the next time I make ribs I’m gonna do the recipe and everything we do. You will love them.
I met my wife online near 25 years ago now,it was on Virtual Places Excite chat. Both our families thought we were crazy, they told her I could be an axe murderer. Back then, for you young folks, meeting online was very rare, people were on Sally Jesse Raphael and Jerry Springer show because we were so crazy. How is that old weathervane doing? You didn’t scrap it?
This Matthew from Canada, have you ever thought of using those diamond encrusted grinder blades? They are all I use and they last way longer than the ones I see you using.
Wanna share your technique for the ribs. Never seen them done like that on a grill in a pan semi submerged in juice. Kinda looks like a slow cooked, crock pot version crossed with a smoker/ grill version... mouths watering, please share.
Yes sir. My wife decided we were going to have ribs and she put them in a bag for two days and let them marinate and then we poured the bag into the aluminum pan that we put it on the grill cooked it in the juice just like what you seen it was the most amazing ribs I’ve ever eaten in my entire life, all we did was marinate for two days and then cook them on the grill. It was amazing. Best ribs I ever ate and I’m talking about tender.

I agree. But if I buy a battery operated one, I won’t have to use a compressor

You should post your wife’s rib recipe. 🤠
All I can say about that is oh my god they were the best ribs I’ve ever eaten. I’ve never even been to a restaurant and got ribs to tasted so good.
That is a good idea and I’ll let everybody know what that is the next time I make ribs I’m gonna do the recipe and everything we do. You will love them.
I do not know why you don't think what you do is educational, because it is very educational because you talk and explain what you are doing.
Thank you so much. I appreciate that very much much
Where do you find so many motors? That is a great haul. Great video thanks!
I take them out of washing machines and dryers. Some of them are pool pumps that were given to me from a pool guy that I know swimming pool guy

Thank you I will look into them
@ScrappingwithGrandpa I like your video's alot. I have been using some of your techniques which are better than mine.
I'd love to see you wear some safety goggles when you're using the cutting wheel. You're a good man.
I am definitely going to buy a pair this week. I should say another pair.

Appreciate it. Definitly going to try real soon. I'll post my outcome... thanks much
Drew,
You can just punch those motors out of the casings. No need for the angle grinder.
I would like to see how to do that, because without the angle grinder, I can’t get that thing to move I’ve tried
Those motors should be close to 10 lbs of steel and 3 lbs of copper. The size you got.
Yes I did my name is Curtis
Hello Curtis
I wouldn't do it here In Arkansas just not worth it to me takes to much time an the prices are so different here
The more I do the easier it is. Thank you for your comments, my friend.
I met my wife on a blind date in 1978 got married in 1979
Congratulations because any blind date that I ever went out on never did work out. Glad to hear yours did thanks for the comment.
I’m worried you are not protecting your ears or eyes . Just be careful
Will do
@@ScrappingwithGrandpa,and really enjoyed how you go about the scrapping ,very interesting and informative
I know that the battery operated side grinders or more convenient but the side grinders that have the cord or stronger and they're faster
That is true 100% I agree with you
