So beautiful. The different patterns of black & white dots and black & white stripes looks as if a fashion designer made their ensembles. Runway inspiration! Alexander McQueen wasn't on this earth long enough to be able to draw inspiration from all of the beautiful things that Mother Nature made for us. ;)
This is life......sheer beauty....I experienced same beauty in the " Haut Jura" for the last 2 weeks, part of France where you can find magnificent isolated lakes. I have to be into shallow waters before sun sets( I avoid sunnot my friend any more), and hit the ground with my heels. Then when you sing, 97 musles are working and keep you warm, so, I am singing operas or just "Vaccai". As the mist disapears, the small fishes, then, the pikes jump . Then arrives the lady shore, always 25 minutes before her husband, both are noiseless and come very near by me. Later on the baby shore arrive calling non stop their parents. Then come the ducks, then the moor hens.... Back in Paris ( France) now, I miss my sunset, so much, but delighted to hear your magnificent Yellow billed Loons... THANK YOU !
Loons are so different from geese, who, like them, are also monogamous. They are competitive for nesting and feeding areas, and the chicks seem to be competitive with each other, with much smaller broods-one or two instead of eight to ten.
Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing to our channel.
Thank you Cornell Lab. You bring the world to us in your fascinating videos and nest cams. Great narration - he has a wonderful voice

Very nicely done. I so enjoyed this video. What a beautiful bird indeed.
Absolutely amazing. Thank you.
Sounds like the calls of the yellow-billed loon are similar to the calls of the common loon.

Similar but also weirdly way different when you hear all the different noises the common loon(or what ever is in Canada) make throughout the day.
thank you
I love to see these majestic birds up close! We see them during the summer months, but it is good to see them where they winter.
Beautiful, entrancing....
My favorite bird. Hooray for video and sound. Super!!!
I now understand what Thoreau meant by this unearthly cackle the loon exhibits; it is a demoniacal laughter!

I don't like the yellow-billed loon's calls as much as the great northern loon's calls, but they are still amazing.
