“BAAZI” : the film which made Dev Anand the star he became, the debut film of Kalpana Kartik and Johny Walker as also of Guru Dutt as director and Balraj Sahni as writer. And Geeta Bali, one of the finest actresses of the Hindi Cinema, in spite not having any classic associated with her name, becoming part of the film in a parallel role that too as a cabaret dancer, make the film a memorable milestone in the annals of Hindi Film Industry. Add to that the path breaking music given by Sachin Dev Burman, with Sahir Ludhianvi’s lyrics, add unforgettable luster to the film. All that made “Baazi” the second most successful film of the year 1951, after Raj Kapoor’s “Awara”, his third directorial venture.
Here, we bring to you our most versatile artist, Jyotika, to present to you in her seductive voice the superhit number “Tadbeer Se Bigdi Hui Taqdeer Bana Le”, originally sung by Geeta Roy, who became Geeta Dutt, having married Guru Dutt as they drew to each other on the sets of the film.
