You obviously put a lot of effort into an engine that creates experiences for something obsolete, and I honestly think that's really cool. You have a passion for it, and you chased it regardless of relevance and finance. I'd like to personally congratulate you and say that this is not only an impressive feat, but a blatant show of passion and intelligence.
dude this looks so cool! I've been following this project for a while now and I have to say it's amazing to see what it's turned into.
Thank you for the long time support! That means a lot to me :)
This is the ground floor you guys. Can't wait to see this explode and get you more recognition you deserve.
The videos about his engine and GBA 3D are his most popular ones and really get a lot of views. You’re the kinda guy who on a 100m+ music video writes that the song is underrated. Anyway I agree with u about the rest.
@@oscarsh2909 I meant the engine exploding when it gets released and this video being the ground floor before that happens. But I can see how the ambiguous language of my post can lead to the confusion. My apologies.
@@tofuninja5489 yes I get what you mean. This engine has and Will change homebrew GBA forever. It’s possibly the biggest thing to ever happen to the system. He deserves recognition for his accomplishment.
This reminds me a lot of the Build Engine editor, and I love that
This would be amazing for an Ultima Underworld or System Shock type game.
GBA is already one of my favorite systems and this is just unbelievable.
I totally agree! I want to see that too on the GBA! :)
I don't say this often, but this definitely warrants a, "Let's GOOOOO!"
Thank you, friend! :)
This is what GBA Doom became? Insane. I'd love to see this ported up too, even though one could just use an emulator.
Good to see sector-portal approach still alive and well.
Psyched for this, just somthing so freaking cool about 3d where 3d shouldnt be. Really awsome to see. This is some really impressive programming mr.Sage :)
It's so nice to read your kind message so thank you so much for saying it and for the support! :)
Seeing this dedication you put into engine for my childhood console really inspires me and shows how simple complex looking stuff can be.
This trailer is cherry on top, as if it's not just some engine but something worth hyping for
I'd say this is worth at least being excited for on its own, as it seems like a fairly intuitive level editor
Not sure how much spare CPU time there is for adding more complex gameplay elements besides gravity.
Still, I am massively impressed with how efficient your coding is. Good job
I programmed a raycast engine from scratch (JS/Canvas); it took me around 3 months. I can't imagine the work you've been through-the tiny optimizations, the GUI, UX-all that on a freaking GBA?
You're truly amazing...
Been there, I did use minilibx for frame recycling and pixel positions, but this is on a whole other level.
Looking forward to the first games that make use of it - and if it is just a maze-exploring game :D
I have been watching your videos for a while and this is the coolest project i have seen anyone make with the GBA! Nice Job.
Thank you for the long time support! :)
Can't wait to make doom in this (hopefully, Nintendo doesn't strike it down)
i think you could make halflife 1 on here
@@qsriel77 probably not, it's way too complex to run on an engine where sectors can't be ontop of eachother
Looking really good so far! Will there be a way in the future to add things like items or a gui? Because i know for a fact within like a month someone's gonna want to try and port doom to the gba using your engine, even though doom's already on the gba lol
Imagine a fan made project of like… links awakening in first person. Holy moly.
Skyrim GBA, Daggerfall style.
@@trashtrash2169I hope so
AWESOME!!! is like a Build Engine on the GBA if you release it and make a game Jam i will do a gane for it!!!
this is absolutely mind boggling
Imagine the gibbitude of games you could make with this!
god i love your videos, always inspire me to make stuff
That's an important goal of mine and I'm grateful that you feel inspired!
@@3DSage I'm very glad there are people like you in the world. I hope one day something I make inspires someone as much as you (and a select few others) inspire me! I'm currently working on a little raycaster :3
I've been subscribed to channel for a long time now and just wanted to say congrats on 100k subscribers. I can't wait to see that silver button.
Thank you so much! It really means a lot to me ❤
@@3DSage Yeah, I've been watching your videos for a while and it motivated me to try electronics and 3D printing so I'd also like to give my thanks to you too. One of my favorite videos is the visual logic gate one.
Awesome! I need to fix up my GBA; I’d love to play around with it on real hardware.
So glad to have been watching the channel so long.
so exciting, can't wait to try this
Wow, that "coming soon" text instantly transported me back to the days of Chicken Invaders, Bugatron 2000, Island Wars, Cube and Axy Snake. I miss those days!
This is amazing. Like DoomBuilder for GBA!
Epic trailer, truly Videojaming
Somebody's recreating Doom in this thing, guaranteed
This is super super cool. I can't wait until this tech gets some gameplay to go in these levels
i am already thinking up ideas of what to make, and this is pretty sick, im very hype for this
This is amazing so psyched about this keep up the great work
Finally Chess3D for the Snapple GameBro!
This makes me really happy, imagine someone recrating parts of super mario 64 on the gba
I'm working on a game that would be perfect to be made in this game engine! I look forward to more news about this!
Super exited this is something I’ve been wanting. I want to make my own survival game, been designing it in illustrator.
Kudos, looks far better than anything expected from the machine.
This is so beautiful and looks so simple to use. Honestly it would be cool to see something like this for making modern games on any platform (even low power systems)
Thank you! And yes I agree :)
I'm not a big fan of old console emulators, but I would love to adapt this engine for desktop, I bet it's crazy optimized
I am a big fan of old consoles, but that too would be awesome!
you can adapt it for desktop by playing it in an emulator 😏
@@ohiasdxfcghbljokasdjhnfvaw4ehr ...which is inefficient
Amazing work as always! Love the growth of this project ! ❤ can't wait!
1:01 swear to god I thought an aircraft was crashing down when I heard this lol
Imagine a share level feature that would be soo cool
Truly amazing, I can't wait to see what people build with this.
My man has finally done it, and it looks fantastic.
Thank you! 😎👍
Bruh you were born 20 years late I wish this was in my childhood
I was thinking that same thing but hey better late than never!
Awesome!!! Love it ❤😊
Good work! I can recommed for you Lua integration for big arrays, because Lua provides arrays inside arrays, which can be usefull for example for making data of player
Nice! Thank you!
Absolutely psyched
Dude, this is huge, you're a very talent person, congrats for your effort.
incredible! great job
This is amazing, it looks like a tiny version of BUILD. Would love to play around with it and use it for a music video.
Keep up the great work!
:O Lost for words... So freaking cool! Still can't wait to try it!
I'm very happy to hear that! :)
lookin sick
just needs some coins to collect and you got a whole game
This is soooo FREAKING COOL!!!!! I can’t wait for it to release 😊
Gives me chills, brother. Fantastic job
Wow thank you so much!
Truely amazing
Looks cool
Amazing 🤩
Cannot wait to see it!
Its amazing to see how far you've gotten with this!
Thank you and I plan to go even further!
Just stumbled onto this channel
It looks great, I'll definitely be waiting for it
That interface is awesome ❤
this is so beautiful
can't wait for it to come out
this is fucking incredible!!!! good job!
God that's so freakin cool
This alone is the 1st time I've been convinced to subscribe and enable notifications! Would love to test when its released!!
I'm glad you liked it! I have more to show coming soon! :)
@@3DSageThanks! Also, will the developed games work on a Windows machine? I sadly don't have a GBA.
Reminds me of the Doom engine and its 2.5dness
Looks awesome! Your videos inspired me to learn to code a raycasting engine in html5 using js. It's very primitive but I am still learning. Wish it looked close to yours! Kudos!
awesome little engine
I'm astronomically excited for this
Awesome, dude!
Reminds me of doom builder
Looks pretty amazing!
Awesome
so cool! im gonna need a physical copy lol
I hope I can make physical cartridges!
Something is wrong with your videos.
They seem...... Kind of... TOO PERFECT. THIS CHANNEL IS AWESOME!!! PLEASE KEEP DOING THIS!
This is great news!
Amazing!
Great stuff.
For a second I thought this is geometry and 2.2 😂
looks good!
and that was the moment i fell in love.
Looks really awesome! While I appreciate that you can build and edit the levels on the GBA itself I wonder if there are also plans for an external editor with mouse and keyboard support as that would be more productive to build larger worlds with it.
Another thing that would save a lot of work would be atomizing the shading of the walls and floors. Like placing (invisible) light sources and then auto-calculate the shading values for each polygon. Editing them by hand is still a nice option for certain handcrafted scenes.
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Will we be able to save games to a flash cart and play them on the Analogue Pocket?
Totally crazy
This is amazing.
cannot wait for this
99.9K Subscribers!!
Awesome 👍😎🎉
great !!!
Cool!!
Awesome, i Will try to use it today
Edit: XD i didn't know that this Is just the trailer i Will wait to make ganes
I'll be waiting because I'm a fan of the game boy advance
now with this released I can remake half life 1 and quake and thief the dark project on my gameboy advance
Fire
some enemies, weapons, and a hud would be pretty cool
That is on my list to add next!
Hey that's really cool
It looks awersome !!!
But, i have a question ? Would you make a tutorial for true 3D. I think you said you will make one in a video.
Oh yes! This project has helped me and I'll now be better at explaining in a new tutorial :)
Nice 👍
Damn it’s impressive
Thank you! :)
