In a game filled with perversion, this scene is by far the most purely expression of love between two characters. Yes Maki, Himiko and such have their own moments but what sells it here is that it's made abundantly clear that Kaede is not thinking of another fantasy figure, but Shuichi himself. It isn't lust, it's just outright love here, props to Kaede's VA for selling the emotion here. It's almost as if they added this in just to twist the knife after you think what could have been....
Their chemistry was seen in whole 1st chapter. It was like Fuyuhiko and Peko's relationship which we saw only couple of minutes. I cried so much bc of result but this mode it's blessing for everyone to give this couple happy ending which they deserved☺

I don't know what's more heartbreaking. This scene, and knowing that Kaede doesn't live in the story or having this point right here be the first time in the entire series where the character we were controlling FINALLY hugged someone else.
Well, think about it like this: Since this is just a videogame, any headcanon you make WILL be canon in your own story, so theoretically, if you wanted, you could've made the killing game completely irrelevant, and made them meet under a completely new setting where they both live out normal lives, meet, and get together, or something of the sort. It's all fantasy at the end of the day, whatever you make of it is whatever will happen, so don't be sad. Instead, be happy that this isn't based off of a true story, where 2 lovers had to be separated by a cruel monarch, and just imagine a scenario yourself of the both of them meeting and falling for each other :)

Apparently the creators did originally plan to have her playable in the "optional content" (although I don't know if that included the Love Hotel scenes, or if they just meant the School Mode equivalent), but they were running out of time in development and had to scrap the idea.
It's a shame that they had to scrap that. Not only does Kaede have some potentially interesting Free Time Events series that end while they're getting good (it's nice to see her call Tenko out on her misandrist tendencies), but having School Mode is more convenient than replaying Act 1 multiple times to get everyone.

Well, think about it like this:
Since this is just a videogame, any headcanon you make WILL be canon in your own story, so theoretically, if you wanted, you could've made the killing game completely irrelevant, and made them meet under a completely new setting where they both live out normal lives, meet, and get together, or something of the sort.
It's all fantasy at the end of the day, whatever you make of it is whatever will happen, so don't be sad. Instead, be happy that this isn't based off of a true story, where 2 lovers had to be separated by a cruel monarch, and just imagine a scenario yourself of the both of them meeting and falling for each other :)

Apparently the creators did originally plan to have her playable in the "optional content" (although I don't know if that included the Love Hotel scenes, or if they just meant the School Mode equivalent), but they were running out of time in development and had to scrap the idea.
It's a shame that they had to scrap that. Not only does Kaede have some potentially interesting Free Time Events series that end while they're getting good (it's nice to see her call Tenko out on her misandrist tendencies), but having School Mode is more convenient than replaying Act 1 multiple times to get everyone.
I love how this is the only love suite scene where Shuichi doesn't refuse to do anything with his "partner"

Edit to that edit: I just realized after reading one comment about Shuichi not changing in Kaedae's dream or something like that, because the love hotel turns into a "rp" where Shuichi becomes their "ideal", the reason that he stays the same in her dream (and I'm pretty sure you guys know this already...but meh) is because Shuichi IS Kaedae's ideal, because she loves him just the way he is.
It's such a great line because in her FTE you see how dedicated she is to piano and how much she loves it. Coming from her, that is truly the ultimate compliment, and it shows just how much she cares about sweetheart Shuichi.
