Hariharsn is a gem...but I agree his rendition is more lile an AR Rehman classic rather than a Rabindra Sangeet..Kavita's rendition is very nice

Beautiful sound design. Such works should be encouraged. Sadly many so called purists criticize them a lot. And Hari ji's voice comes from another world. I can't even comment on him. This song is beautiful. Thanks Asha Audio.

যাদের এটা পছন্দ হচ্ছে না তারা অন্য ভিডিও দেখুন , রবীন্দ্রনাথ অনেক বছর আগে কি বলে গেছেন সেটা নিয়ে আপনাদের মাথা ঘামাতে হবেনা। রবীন্দ্রনাথ নিজেও অনেক বিদেশী গান থেকে সুর তুলেছেন নিজের গান এর জন্য। হরিহরণ এর এই ভার্সন টা অনেক ভালো কিছু বাঙালি ভার্সন এর থেকে।

@@Marv3Lthe1 Copy and inspiration are different. Just check the copyright rules worldwide. Not only Rabindranath, many other inspired with something and create something new based on the original. Here India famous two singers are changing the way of a song. Why ? If they need to do something, let do based on some rabindra creations. But they can't create as it will be difficult for them to understand and create. So let's just show some own ability on others creations. Wonderful.
@@1979antu Hariharan's version is better than Rabindranath's. Rabindranath is not a God. Rabindranath's version can be improved and thats exactly what Hariharan has done here.

Hm . The project is good but Rabindrasangeet can't be changed and it's Rabindranath Tagore's own opinion and not only that is his order . So I think it should not did . He is unchangeable because he is an unthinkable person who is compared with ownself .

kavita krishnamurti has a nice voice and sings with feelings. but the inputs in the song have destroyed the song. sing tagore songs without changing it .it will come out best. rabindranath had himself said that he didnot like someone to change his songs . so respect his words . TAGORE SAID THAT HE FELT PAIN WHEN ANYONE CHANGED HIS SONGS. THE PAIN IS LIKE THAT WHEN ONE GIVES HIS OWN DAUGHTER IN THE HANDS OF A BAD MISMATCHED HUSBAND. This particular song has been presented by many notable singers. I prefer Swagatalakshmi's over others. Hari and Kavita sing it well in fusion style - but sorry fail to impress me.

meao guha Tagore himself never specified how his songs should be sung. This is a later interpolation done by his disciples to stick to the limelight of popular media.
What Hariharan has done is interpretation by his own self, without changing the basic tune or structure of the song. I believe everyone is entitled to do so. Besides music is a very dynamic sphere, and in order to survive, newer arrangements and innovations must be incorporated so that the industry does not lose out its potential target group.

Rabindranath also said that harmonium and tabla should never accompany his songs . Only esraj and khol can be used, then why some of the eminent Rabindrasangeet singers are using those?? even in shantiniketan these instruments are used extensively. Everything needs a modification, Tagore was way ahead of his time, but the way his songs are sung are outdated now.
