I only knew of Lee Dixon as John Wayne's buddy in "Angel and the Badman" until I saw "Gold Diggers of 1937". Wow, what a revelation! He was terrific. Btw that is a really funny movie with an awesome cast. It introduced me not only to Lee's dancing but also to the beautiful Rosalind Marquis and Susan Fleming (Mrs. Harpo Marx) and some excellent actors including Osgood Perkins (Anthony Perkins' father).
Lee was a cutie, funny, and he could dance. Should have been a major star.
