    Hiya Joe, I qualified 21 years ago and Ive found myself glued your series of videos. I can always remember my eyes glazing over in college all those years ago, on some ac theory lessons including this! You are so good at explaining and making what was once a seemingly difficult topic, easy! If only you were my tutor back then!!! I think the beauty of these videos is you can pause and rewind until it sinks in, pausing and rewinding is difficult when your sat in a classroom! Keep up the good work Joe👍

    Nice and informative video. I just want to add something. Since you are showing a three phase system which is connected in wye (star) and delta that means you are dealing with AC system.
    When you are dealing with an AC system try to avoid using the “R” (resistance) as loads, use “Z” (impedance) instead. The reason is: in an AC system, resistance is part of impedance. Impedance has two componnents-resistance and reactance. I hope you don’t get offended as you intend this for the beginners. Thanks.

  • @updatedotexe
    @updatedotexe 3 роки тому +3

    I like the way how you explain things. But I fear, that it is too shallow.
    I am studying mechanical engineering in 3rd semester and one of my modules is "Fundamentals of electrical engineering" and there I am supposed to study 3-phase-current in detail in just like 3 days. Your videos are great to get a basic hold of the topic, but then dont go deep enough.

    • @AJ-et3vf
      @AJ-et3vf 2 роки тому +1

      it's fine if they're "too shallow". If a student finds the concept of 3-phase systems too abstract and difficult to grasp, "too shallow" explanations like this will actually allow them to put their figurative feet inside the door and understand and grasp the theory behind it. That's how things worked for me as a fellow mechanical engineering student.

    • @updatedotexe
