Thank you for this video. I bought this light strip and used the 4 pin and it keeps triggering my alarm. I wanted to hard wire it like this and now I can. Thank you so much.
One of the best videos I’ve watch, thank you! When the truck is running and the parking lights or running lights are off, does the light bar stay on when the car is turned on? Mine stay on
Yours is slightly different from mine. The turn signals are correct. You have the bar upside down. Then the light is to be hooked up to the left brakelight
Almost every time I see one of these tailgate LED strips, they usually have several pixels that have died... I don't know if it's not ip68 waterproofing, or maybe those signal wires should be fed into relays? Or maybe even a 1000uf capacitor would smooth everything out? But this truck looks good with it, hopefully it lasts a long time.
@Lessco Electronics Thanks so much for your video I FINALLY got my light bar installed and working using t-taps. I did notice my truck doesn't do the beeping warning when I'm backing up and getting close. Do you have that issue? I have a 2016 Lariat
The motivation u gave me to tap into the taillights was a plus, I'm not putting you down for showing us how to tap into what wires but I found out for my self my wire colors are the same as described as yours in both of our trucks but your color wire diagram is differently in the order from mine, if it wasn't for that Lucky tester and help from my wife, I wouldn't of been able to finish or figure out my own color wires from my order of taping into. So your best bet is atleast as the manual shows from the led strip itself what wire is for.... But atleast you know which wire to use of the led strip to tap into the plug of the tail light by testing its different features like which one is always lit, which one lights up only when u put it on reverse, which one blinks w the side of the taillight signal, I never had experience on this or is not an expert, but today I learned w I fluence, or idea of your video but found my wires on my own after your color wires didn't work for me with help of a trusty tester... But thanks for the motivation and class u gave... I feel proud of my self accomplishing it and learning something new, and solved my own problem. It's awesome to own your own tools... Thanks. My truck blings like a star.. And it's awesome...
I’m wanting to use this on my pressure washing trailer, as a “warning” light, per se. it would be connected directly to a switch, which would run to a battery. Will this work?
Hello i connect the brake light to the signal lights from led strip but with the brake the tailgate signal lights of the car lighting. Because that i connect the running light from the led strip with the brake but now i have not running light to the led strip. How i solve this problem?
Where are you looking for sequential LED? Having alot of trouble finding after market sequential tail lights that will fit in my bumpers fog reflectors so I can get it wired to brakes and turn signals but have the turn signal orange flow into the white and replace it as the indicator (whilst still running the factory tail light)
Even those I'm not a huge fan as it's got the same dotted effect but I'm really struggling to find good LED DLR and reflector to replace front fog and the rear reflectors that have a nice solid light glow similar to a Mercedes / Audi persay. I really like good lights 🤩
Front of my car has halogen foglights I want to swap into a LED DLR that doubles as an extra then signal with the headlight blinker like the glow on your tail lights is nicer than the LED light bar, just my personal taste though no judgements on what people do
Just installed this bar on my truck. I installed everything on my driver side of the tail light though. My reverse light doesn’t seem to be working properly though. I have the “red” wire connected to the “green/brown” wire and every time I put it in reverse. The white LED light “very briefly” comes on but then goes off. The brake light flashes a couple of times and then goes solid red, but not white. Do you think it is a connection issue? Hope you can help Thanks
Wiring harness always comes out the left side of the truck which is the driver side so the Chinese didn’t mess up your did wow The only thing I learned in the video is not to listen to someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about and at the last few messages everybody Agrees with that
@@STR8SICCC I misread the question, I thought it asked will it fit? So I said it depends where you put it. But to answer your question about it working with a 1993 Chevy pickup you would have to look at a wiring diagram for the tail lights, unless you have trailer wiring. I didn't watch the video completely.
That led strip looks the same if you were to turn it 360 degrees, and I’ll bet the turn signals would match... next time test the direction first, then mount... 😂
Yes, but like I mentioned, I did that on my 2017 f150 and it gave me headaches with the canbus errors and rear cam gridlines and trailer messages, by doing it this way that didnt happen again, I learned my lesson from the old truck!
The light was perfectly functioning 100%, you placed and taped it backwards. Awesome video and awesome truck!
Plug is perfectly fine. You put light upside down.
🤣🤣
The duh moment
But China....
😂😂
😂 honestly thought the same
Truck is badass! Didn’t realize they’re making remote control tailgate drop downs but why not right. Cool vid man, keep on keepin on!
Thank you for this video. I bought this light strip and used the 4 pin and it keeps triggering my alarm. I wanted to hard wire it like this and now I can. Thank you so much.
Thanks for clearing the turn signal problem up. I had same issues.
Why not tap into the 7 pin trailer plug behind the bumper
99% of tail light work is done off the driver side, thus your reverse of your light hook-up. Besides that, your right-on! Nice install!
thanks for this video i wont to install this led in one trail blazer, you make so easy the instalation
Ive never even seen them t tab before...slick.
Backwards? maybe it was flipped upside down.
One of the best videos I’ve watch, thank you! When the truck is running and the parking lights or running lights are off, does the light bar stay on when the car is turned on? Mine stay on
Yes, mine does stay on

So there was a fuse attached to the wire that got power from? I'm a newbie trying to figure out the wiring on my car

Warning, for what?
You had to flip it the other way, wires should be on the left side and not the right. Thats why your blinkers were backwards
Looks very nice !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks good and you have a beautiful truck
Thanks 👍
When I put turn signal on the whole light bar flashes but everything else works correct

How did you connect the left wire from the right, isn’t it too short?
I just extended it
The wire is right you installed it upside down..... 😒😒
Always do a test fire before attaching it.
What happens when you press the brake and have the turn signal going?
1/2 blinks the other half stays solid

Wouldn't it of been easier to splice into the back of the trailer light connection. Just saying
Yes, but like I mentioned, I did that on my 2017 f150 and it gave me headaches with the canbus errors and rear cam gridlines and trailer messages, by doing it this way that didnt happen again, I learned my lesson from the old truck!
