Hydra also has connection to GIJoe. Back in the early 80's Hasbro wanted to do an action figure line called Fury Force with Nick Fury's son as the head of an elite counter-terrorist organization. Their main enemy would have been Hydra. Hasbro redesigned the line to bring back G.IJoe instead and decided to ditch Hydra as the main enemy. Still liking the snake motif, someone in Hasbro decided to call it Cobra instead.

Something like that, only they would be the big organization that created the Templar order and possibly even the assassins to menace them with sleeper power to take over should they defeat the order. If it's shady, if it's secret, if it's conspiracies, chances are it's Hydra.

I actually really enjoyed Secret Empire. I thought them bringing back Hulk just for him to die again was a bit silly, but other than that, I liked it. It had some great moments in it. Hydra Cap even had Mjolnir re-written, which is why Hydra Cap could pick it up. As Captain America is my favorite super hero of all time (and I'm a Canadian, go figure) I liked the story a lot.

I think I was the only one in my comic group that liked the hydra captain America story line. I saw it as a brilliant look into how one little change can turn a good character evil. VC. I remember reading in a flashback story about A.I.M., which is a part of Hydra, I think in a Captain America comic, where the Black Panther's father, using a Black Panther customer made from the fur of a real black panther, fought A.I.M., during WW II. Also three characters that weren't created by Lee and Kirby were: The Red Skull whom was created by Joe Simon & Kirby, Spider-man whom was created by Lee & Steve Ditko, Iron Man, whom was created by Lee, Larry Leiber, and Don Heck. And Loki, Thor's arch enemy whom of course came from Norse Mythology. Stan Lee in his book, Bring On The Bad Guys, mentions that he didn't create the Red Skull, he came from the Captain America Comics of the 1940's. And Loki, as with Thor, came from Norse Mythology.😀😄
Hey I know it's a little too late but I would have LOVED if you guys had briefly touched on the NEW MCU version of Hydra on Agents of Shield. That obelisk story with hydra being ancient was REALLY twisted.
How about the version of Hydra in the series Agents Of Shield? Is that related to this? The one where Hydra is in another dimension, or was it another planet?
