I don't really expect or even wish for changes like most of these. Although some torrent gear would be fun. What I want is large new areas new enemies and new weapons and armor. Something I'm hoping for and also think might be possible is some items seen or heard or hinted of, or even from the past, or versions thereof. Like an unbroken axe of Godfrey or the non-blasphemous blade!
I just beat Elden Ring. I was level 184 and had 260 hours of gameplay. I know that sucks. Butttt.... I had so much fun. Can't wait for the DLC. Without your videos and others I would still be playing. One of the most unique games I ever played. Up there with final fantasy 7. Thanks for all of your help. And hard work. This was my first souls game believe it or not. And I am 45 years old.
Why does it suck? Because you enjoyed it as slowly as you wanted and actually PLAYED it and not broke the mechanics to become op early like others?...my friend you are the what Elden Ring represents and how it should be played I love you
I would love to see a personal chest that can be shared with all of your other characters. This way we could share Items we obtain with our other characters without needing a friend to drop it for you in game.
That'd be so nice. Especially for an altoholic like me who's made so many alts at this point that I've had to back up my save files because I keep running out of alt space.
Your voice has changed since your early ER vids, has anyone else ever noticed that? Glad you’re still making ER vids, your “things you missed” series was my bible!
Ash of War thought: I'd rather the ability to remove a Unique Skill and replace it with one of the regular ones. Keep the Unique Skills as they are, but make any weapon able to switch to one of the common abilities if you want. Keep the Unique as a base if the swappable one is ever removed.
The drops are low, but they are doable. The rarest drops will have a chance of 0.5%, which can go up to 1.2% if you have a very large discovery. It is tedious to kill 40-50 enemies in order to get a chance of dropping the item, but if you want it you can spare some minutes to get it right now without them having to change the drop mechanics. It gets really hard if you decide to get all the items. But this is a self imposing challenge, so I don't think there is a reason to change it for everyone. I am collecting all the items and it will probably take me at least half the time I spent finishing the entire game. But it wouldn't be a challenge if I knew how to game this system.
Thanks to how drops work, you can fight 40-50 and still not get a drop. That's the point. You could fight 100. Or 200. Or 1000. With a sympathy system, the % might raise as you kill X amount. Or a guarantee after X amount. An amount which could still be 40-50, 100, 200, or 1000. I'm sure there are even more ways a system could work. Not that I care either way, but that went right over your head.
I like the preset loadout idea. Maybe put the rune bank behind a tough quest. As long as any feature can be ignored, I don't object. You don't have to put your runes in a bank.
What I'd like to see: - St.Trina's Bell Bearing for unlimited lilies / bewitching branches - Age of Unalloyed Gold ending - what did Caelid look like before the Scarlet Rot? - restore Kalé's goddamn questline
The Redmane Knight set can be easily farmed at the 'dog fight' outside Redmane Castle. You can even kite him into a fight with the dogs, so you don't even have to kill him yourself if you can't be arsed. Not saying it's not tedious but it's a quick kill then back to the grace and rinse/repeat.
Aside from an optional hard mode and some visual mods for torrent I just don't feel like any of those changes are really From Software's style. Just give me more game. Just give me more monsters, more pointy things to poke them with, more locations and more questions than answers
Want a refashion option. See Nioh’s blacksmith for more details, as it’s the best i’ve ever encountered. Another thing would be more blackflame incants and death spells. It would be nice to have an intermediate spell between Flame Sling and Giantflame, like Fire orb and Great Chaos orb were between fireball and Chaos Bed Vestiges. A blackflame Catch flame would be nice, along with a beefed up Aoe spell in sorcery. Maybe hexes too? Resonant Soul was my go-to in Dark Souls 2. Edit: An equivalent of the Brave Hunter’s Mark would be grand.
To bank runes, just buy Smithing Stones from the Twin Maidens - I'm pretty sure buy/sell values are identical. You can't always teleport to the Roundtable Hold, but the peril of losing runes in dungeons is so fundamental to game experience I don't think changing it would be benficial.
We already know about a twinblade that definitely comes from either Miquella or Marika found in the files of the game. Thats been the most solid bit of evidence for content.
Thoughts on idea #4. I thought I was the only one! But, there is one weapon in particular that would benefit from gaining its own AOW.... I'd like to see the Butchering Knife gain its own AOW based on a 'Carnivorous Lyssavirus' (Think Rabies-inflicted zombie puppet...). And basically, the dead inflicted would turn into the weapon's puppet for up to a minute, while giving the user an additional 5% HP regeneration for each strike. Would affect all non-boss enemies and PvP participants. There's a build up of the flesh-eating contagion, and then death of the target, before the user takes control of the target's corpse to attack other targets of note.
I just want a way to recognize the merchants' goods after I bring the bells to the old hags at the roundtable, because I don't want to scroll through each shop without remembering which merchant sold those particular arrows or stuff
1:45 The piss poor drop rates is one of those places where I'll just flat tell people to use cheats to get things to drop if they have the option to do it. This is primarily a single player action RPG, not an MMO. Drop rates should not be anywhere near this bad and the discovery boosting stuff needs an upgrade so that the boosts they provide aren't so incredibly miniscule due to how the discovery formula works. 11:50 A beastiary would be so cool. Just imagine having a lore entry for each one just like items do! 12:44 Being able to upgrade the wondrous physick flask would be cool, but not keen on it coming with drawbacks. It'll just result in most people not bothering with upgrading it. 14:53 If such an option was ever added, I could see a few limitations given to it to make it work. Like runes banked only being useful for buying supplies, but not gaining levels. There being a percentage cost that is paid when storing them. It would be nice since at a certain point, farming runes, especially for supplies, just becomes busywork due to how far into the game you've gotten. Also upgrading and customizing GOODEST BOY is a must! Torrent needs some love too!
Holy hell, if you could throw blasphemous blade on a dagger or transient moonlight on the greatsword. That’d be pretty damn fun. And hard mode, couldn’t you just throw on the shibriris woe talisman?
Somber +9 is fairly simple, 1 through 4 can be bought from iji, 5 and 6 are easy to get places in volcano manor, 7 is behind a stonesword key in volcano manor, 8 and 9 can be picked up in caelid with ease, without killing any enemies or bosses. You can even get +10 somber if you progress Varre's quest, requires two great runes, just running around a bit, and you can progress to Moghwyn area which you can just grab a +10 somber stone. For smithing stones, 6 can be acquired from difficult to reach places, 7 is also possible to gather but they are in even more difficult places, 2 can be grabbed in caelid, 5 from the falling star beast in Caelid, 9 capital sewers in really horrible and hard to get to places (example, four of them are near the two giant lobsters, good luck), and there is one more in Volcano Manor. EXTREMELY difficult to get Smithing stone 7's. Even if you could get 12 of them, you need another 12 of Smithing 8's to get the weapon to 24. Before mountaintops, there is one in caelid, another one in capital sewers in a horrible place, and 3 in mohgwyn area, so the maximum non-somber weapon you can get to is realistically +19, and if you are really dedicated you can get it to +22, but progressing to +23 and beyond requires you to get access to Mountaintops. I hope this gets changed, either somber 8 and 9 in caelid should be moved/deleted or Smithing 7 and 8's be more available in Altus, Caelid or Mohgwyn.
Before even reading the comments i knew that most people would disagree with these ideas simply based on the fact that the soulsborne community are VERY protective about their magnum opus of gaming 😂
I understand what you’re saying, with a sympathy reward system, but at the same time the drop rate on some armor is very low for a reason. Players that are walking around with a full red mane knight set are well respected within the Elden ring community for the grind it took them to get it. I feel like we should keep the drop rates how they are in order to preserve the rarity of some armor sets.
AC: Odyssey had that armour config switch ability, but what I’d like to see is the ability to equip one armour set but have it display as another - I may want to play as a super heavy tank, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to look like a flashy dandy..
I got the Nobles estoc in just under 30 minutes. There's a hidden mechanic in the souls games where if you equip anything theif and / or magic related as well as using a magic based weapon your chances of securing rare items are higher. I initially found out in Demon souls PS5. It worked in the dark souls trilogy and elden ring too.
Based on arcane stat boosting for item discovery and items with descriptions that increase item discovery. In ds3 there was a crystal rapier that boosted the stat
Just don't make us fight Miquella that dude sounds so damn good it would be a shame to make us put him down but I think we gona fight Malenia at her max form stopping us for going for her brother and when she is down then Lord Miquella is gona hand his great rune Just my opinion great video mate 👍
I'm in two minds about it. Sometimes it feels right that we should defeat him but it also makes sense that he's a supportive NPC character like Melina who guides us through the DLC.
I hope the DLC starts off with a really hard boss gatekeeping all of the content away like the Sanctuary Guardian from DS1 just because itll make people mad
I'm surprised barely anybody mentioned NG+ with different enemy layout. Armored Core 6 has the best NG+ and even NG++ where many missions are very different from NG. My top 3 wishes are bosses with unique mechanics. For example a boss who could turn your summon against you for a while. I would like to see unique mini dungeons like the Leyndell catacombs or that other one with teleporting chests. And finally I want new areas with interesting biome and level design.
from your stats id say your end gameish, id consider getting larval leveling arcane to max and use silver scarab and silver talon it'll make it much faster, praises be to stats changing
Can't tell if you haven't played armored core or you are being cheeky lol but from software's, most recent entry allows you to save mech designs and easily load them instead of switching individual parts.
Personally I'd love to be able to hotkey each spell to a separate key and cast with a key press, rather than trying to scroll through them.. sucks when you see the one you want but scroll past it.. and have to scroll through them again...
I don't know but for some reason I think this DLC is gonna launch in April or close to summer. I was thinking because of FF7 Rebirth which is a massive big game that has a hug fanbase as well, but From Software isn't a stranger to releasing their games the same day or very close to other big games and I like that about them. Instead of running form other games they're confident in their projects as they should be.
Juice saying when I pre-purchase The game they should give me access to any DLC that comes out. I already had to wait two days when the game was released even though I was supposed to be one of the first people to play. Due to my download speeds. But in my opinion if you pre-ordered the game you shouldn't have to pay for the DLC
I would love for more elemental incantations, same for sorcery and would it be cool to have sacred seals and staves to able to use ashes of war like quickstep, blood hound step or parries make sense to me and it could make mages or sorcerer combat more fun and epic in PVE and maybe PVP. Just a thought.
Yes you can. All smithing stones/upgrade items carry over to NG+. The only things that don't are story items. Stock up as much as you want before beginning journey 2.
Hoping for the challice dungeons to make a return as optional content. Dark souls 1/3 have a difficulty mode, the calamity ring. The reforged mod already has a bestiary. So if this feature were added it would mean vanilla players would benefit and that other mods would gain the feature. I want the basic stuff I can use anywhere, a fifth talisman slot, a 2nd sip of physick, a third crystal tear slot.
There is something called “Mercy System" in Gacha type of mobile game might be the term you're referring to. You gamble X times will guarantee you a Super Super Rare (SSR) item. It is also called 天井システム (ceiling system in Japanese ) / 保底系统 (minimum bottom system) in Chinese.
Kingdom hearts III and Final Fantasy XIII-3 had systems similar in premise to what you meant about dynamic armor switching. And I think a fair choice by the devs for balancing is to not allow you to switch when in combat. There are already mechanics in ER tied to being in combat or not and they only bug out on rare occasions so I think it is the right play.
I would be shocked if Fromsoft indruce paid cosmetics. It would make most of their long time fans (the base) really concerned for the direction they were going. The "sympathy" reward system is ick. Id much rather grind and grind to get it. I love these games and any reason to grind over and over i am game for. The farming distance is not an issue. There are graces, which reset the enemies, for a reason. Elden Ring is already the most accessable game theyve done. We dont need more "sympathy" for playera, nor do we need paid cosmetics/micro transactions.
Ghost of Tsushima had a really good build save that let you swap between armors and skill son the fly from the pause menu. AC6 at least you can save your build and revert back to it. but yeah the Ghost swap build is really good from SuckerPunch
I'd love a boss rush mode, unlocked upon completion where you can fight any defeated boss and try out different armour and weapon builds.
Grace aestics anyone?
Yes, yes and yes again
I don't really expect or even wish for changes like most of these. Although some torrent gear would be fun. What I want is large new areas new enemies and new weapons and armor.
Something I'm hoping for and also think might be possible is some items seen or heard or hinted of, or even from the past, or versions thereof. Like an unbroken axe of Godfrey or the non-blasphemous blade!
Is Godfreys axe broken? I thought it was just a different axe. But I agree about the blasphemous blade
@@strawhat_cotafitness1260 it's pretty clear the axe is broken when you look at it closer.
@@strawhat_cotafitness1260its the same axe just one of the blades broke off
@@mece66 I've used it but I never really looked at the weapons all that much at a glance the broken side just looks decorative
That’s a very nice way of saying this guy has horrible ideas.
This DLC is gonna be a masterpiece I will be discovering every corner of it
Same homie, you may be seeing me as a Red

This interaction made me smile big!
Why does it suck? Because you enjoyed it as slowly as you wanted and actually PLAYED it and not broke the mechanics to become op early like others?...my friend you are the what Elden Ring represents and how it should be played I love you

Onm we need that
I'm a simple man, a photo mode would be nice if you're playing solo or offline.
The armor switch is in RDR2. You have to switch between the summer's and winter's suite to not feel the temperature effect on your health
Hard mode is keeping that blessing that Fia gives you
I just want the DLC already. I haven't destroyed a controller in over a year! That is just too long!
hope we get more incantations and sorceries!°

Your voice has changed since your early ER vids, has anyone else ever noticed that? Glad you’re still making ER vids, your “things you missed” series was my bible!
I believe you are thinking of a pity timer.
Which has no place in these games.
Being able to turn into a dragon like the systems they had in bloodborne and dark souls 3
Ash of War thought: I'd rather the ability to remove a Unique Skill and replace it with one of the regular ones. Keep the Unique Skills as they are, but make any weapon able to switch to one of the common abilities if you want. Keep the Unique as a base if the swappable one is ever removed.
That's what I've wanted for a long time, I like to dual wield daggers and have parry one but wish I could with uniques

I like the preset loadout idea. Maybe put the rune bank behind a tough quest. As long as any feature can be ignored, I don't object. You don't have to put your runes in a bank.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Immortal Fenix Rising both had amor set system AND full transmog. Elden Ring needs transmog
What I'd like to see:
- St.Trina's Bell Bearing for unlimited lilies / bewitching branches
- Age of Unalloyed Gold ending
- what did Caelid look like before the Scarlet Rot?
- restore Kalé's goddamn questline
The item drop system would usually be called a pity system, gatcha games use it quite often, though that's usually tied to spending money.
If I could add an upgrade for Torrent, maybe after beating a cavalry boss, it would be a triple jump. Who's with me and a triple jump for Torrant!?
The Redmane Knight set can be easily farmed at the 'dog fight' outside Redmane Castle. You can even kite him into a fight with the dogs, so you don't even have to kill him yourself if you can't be arsed.

I did always consider trading unique AOWs to other weapons.within reason.
Nobody is going to talk about the clean dodge at 6:01
This mechanic of switching sets is present on AC6
Thoughts on idea #4. I thought I was the only one! But, there is one weapon in particular that would benefit from gaining its own AOW....
I'd like to see the Butchering Knife gain its own AOW based on a 'Carnivorous Lyssavirus' (Think Rabies-inflicted zombie puppet...). Would affect all non-boss enemies and PvP participants.
There's a build up of the flesh-eating contagion, and then death of the target, before the user takes control of the target's corpse to attack other targets of note.
Elden Ring is on sale @ under $40 for the first time. Immediately when I saw this I took it as a sign the DLC would be arriving soon.
Armor for Torrent would be great. As well as a health meter for him while riding him in battle.
I just want a way to recognize the merchants' goods after I bring the bells to the old hags at the roundtable, because I don't want to scroll through each shop without remembering which merchant sold those particular arrows or stuff
I feel the DLC would be a lot better if the way to get it started would be to get the “Frienzied ending” from what the simple picture shows.
We need pvp mode called battle of the belfry were it basically king of the hill and takes place at the belfrys don't know how they never thought of it

Equip Daedacar and shabriri. Instant hard mode
I'm still on NG, but could you just buy smithing stones in bulk and later sell them back in NG+ ?
Yes you can. All smithing stones/upgrade items carry over to NG+. The only things that don't are story items. Stock up as much as you want before beginning journey 2.
I hate the look of the blasphemous blade, but I love the ash of war. If I could put that on a knights, great sword, I’d be happy.
Blasphemous blade looks awesome! My opinion.
2:37 Responding for this time stamp.
Summon anywhere. Thatll change the game.
Ghost of Tsushima had a really good build save that let you swap between armors and skill son the fly from the pause menu. AC6 at least you can save your build and revert back to it. but yeah the Ghost swap build is really good from SuckerPunch
Ash of War exclusive to whips
100% in on hard mode and customizing best boy. Idk about the rune banking. As for ridiculous suggestion that won’t happen: I would like a lightsaber😂
