Other than the house I'm currently living in, every house I've lived in had the sink in front of a window, even my first home (which my parents built together ❤) they put the sink in front of the window. Aside from aesthetics I think it's just practical. You don't want to be leaning over a stubborn spot you're scrubbing on a dish only to bang your head when you stand back up.

I agree with the sink! In my head I’ve always got someone washing up whilst looking out of the window, if I’m making up a lil sims story in my head they’re spying on their neighbours or they spot them up to something, watching their kids in the garden! You’re not alone! 😂😂
My theory is that they don’t really care, considering that builds are things players can change about the game. They can renovate them or completely delete them and create something new so they probably don’t see it as their priority
It's not really anarchy though.. it's literally what they're meant to do as game changers. They're meant to give their full honest opinion. That's how the game improves itself, and it definitely has improved drastically over time. The builds, world, CAS, and build/buy stuff in this pack are all absolutely amazing. Unlike other packs where most of the time you only want it for a few things.

(Like building a house) The sims team honestly might draw straws for building since they all seem pretty bad at it. (i.e. All the packs vs the pack where they asked gamechangers to build, Snowy Escape)
I renovated this apartment yesterday and I kept the layout but I made the kitchen open into the living room, made the bathroom bigger, and divided the bedroom into a sleeping area and on the left side an office space :D Also, mine had orange as the highlight colour and a mix of dark and light wood :)

i hate that so many people are hating on the builds in this world. I like them. I like how realistic they look. So many houses in the game are so upper class houses, including the ones builders make in the gallery. I just like the realism. The eco lifestyle world looks like a realistic town.
I renovated the 1200 a week pinecrest apartment and its so cute now love the layout I didnt edit doors or windows because you usually can’t do that in apartments

Last apartment I lived in didn't have a tv in the living room - all it had was two couches and a coffee table. When I asked why there was no tv I was told that it wasn't a living room, "It's actually a quiet sitting area"... The blandest house I've ever lived in and it killed me that I couldn't decorate.
The reason sinks are typically in front of windows in kitchens is so you can look outside while washing the dishes. Or at least thats why they do it in new construction homes often.

In S4 the one thing missing is the 'Create a Style' in Build/Buy Mode from Sims 3. Made it so brilliantly easy to 'customize' non-cc stock content.
