- This, in my opinion, is the best version of this song. It's done live, and oldschool as a duo. Someone else posted this and then took it off. This really shows off Linnell's Accordion work, rocking the Bass line and all. This was on the set of The Spud Goodman Show, www.Spudgoodman.com
The way John is looking at Flans is really making my heart feel happy, he looks genuinely very happy, proud and impressed all at the same time ❤ Very touching moment and I am glad its been captured on video!
Thanks Oni! I totally agree. I particularly like when John L uses his accordion and also incorporates the left hand side for a fuller sound. I think this is one of my favorite duo performances they had.
Dude I just realized they looked like hipsters before hipsters looked like them
I've looked for this song so many times on here, I'm ecstatic you uploaded this, thank you so much ^-^ I grew up listening to these guys, they have to be some of the most epic people I know :D I'd die if I ever got to meet them... :3
Four years ago, my friend let me borrow his Accordion for a year or so. It was great! I was playing many TMBG songs! I need one for myself...
I'm so happy that I could find it!
Thank you for posting this.
I love these guys!!
i NEED to learn the accordian so i can do all their songs
@Drworm89 No, I'm sure you're right on that account.
I just thought it was funny that most of their music videos (Like the produced kind that you see on VH1 or MTV, not like this.) feature John Linnell as lead vocalist.
I was actually surprised when I saw a video of them live, I didn't expect the switch,
class as always ,,,, mmmmm gianty
Oh yes.
@Kojitsu I thought he said the same damn thing. It took me several times to hear it as "They Might Be Giants"...
simon & garfunkel with their hands in their pockets! (:D
great! thanks. tell me how....
have you heard of that hand painted ukalele flansburgh painted of siluetes of his cat the governor that is being put on auction check out tmbw
As a trans girl who likes to sing, I can confirm that this song is basically just my life
I was literally searching how to do a more passable singing voice, and found myself on a video of my childhood band singing
They are so gender ❤
@StickWarrior I thought John Flansburgh always sung this song.
I wonder why in the majority of their video that I've seen, they flip-flop. It's always the other one singing.
oh bye the way 5*****
Dean Cain!? Haha, no, it's just John Flansburgh.
