I go every year. Just got back this week. If you are on a budget then stay at the Days Inn on Meeting street. Its in walking distance of everything on the peninsula. You want find a cheaper you in the Historic district.
Oh I love your video! I moved down here for the summer and started vlogging so I will definitely have to do some of these things for some good content. I didn't know about the county parks so I'll def check it out when I'm down here for Christmas!
I was born in Charleston. Sullivan's island is my favorite. It has a good amount of people. Also it's where the Hunley took off, and where the bonfire was set to wait for it.
Charleston is my favorite place on Earth! Overall the places he mentioned are must see. I would add visiting Magnolia Gardens to the list. No matter what you do though, you'll fall in love with the city, hard not to.
I am going back this weekend - have not been since a small child. These travel tips are PERFECT for me. :) I did also have a friend tell me to watch out for the marsh areas - gators.
Nice job on this video. Thanks for the recommendation on Palmetto Islands County Park. The park has a large network of trails and very peaceful scenery.
Pretty Cool video, thanks for posting this video. I've got several different videos of the SkyWheel in Myrtle Beach. Check em out when you get a chance to. And please subscribe to my UA-cam channel. Thanks, I need the subscribers to stay in the program after the changes.
I'm moving to Charleston in a few weeks. I'm very excited, but don't want to miss out. What are some more things you recommend for someone who will be there for up to a year? How do I 'settle in', so-to-speak?
I just moved to the luxurious Emerald Homes in Charleston SC, and so far I love it! I am looking forward to really checking it all out. Thanks for the great video
I've explored Savannah and I have pics to prove it (either that, or they all came out for St. Patricks day weekend)!! Key West is also (I lived there and yes, many paranormal experiences). Check out the history of Robert the Doll. Do a search on the most haunted cities. I think it would be difficult to say which is #1, #4, etc. Depends on who experiences what and when. Ghosts/spirits love to play games too!
Great video - thanks for the tips! I am visiting for a short time on a tight budget. And, I will pray for the person below who made the Putin reference. Ugggh. No, you do not look like him - that idiot - lol. ;) Have a GREAT day. :)
Lol, well I lived in Charleston for 6 years but loved vacationing to Savannah. They both have their ups and downs. I also made one of these videos about Savannah if you want to check it out. Cheers!
Folly Beach...seeing all these uptight Southern men in their parachutes that they laughingly called swimwear! Sorry, Charleston have long lost what makes it Charleston. It is fast becoming another generic American city! Want a city that still retain its own unique vibes, go to Beaufort, SAVANNAH or even up north to Philadelphia. Did I mention SAVANNAH?
It feels good to hear about my home city
Thanks for the video ! A great locals view. I got several take aways we will definitely be visiting. Added them to our next week visit.
Have fun! We're actually visiting Charleston for the first time in 3 years next month. Gotta use some of my own tips as a reminder haha.
Thank you for sharing, I hope to visit for the first time soon. God bless.
Thank you for your easy to follow and comprehensive tips
I've lived in Charleston all my life. My favorite place. Always will be my home.
Good tips on beaches/wilderness area. Will check-out rest stop on I-26 this Christmas.

Charleston is very dog friendly. I live there and I really recommend. You'll most likely find friendly people who would be glad to see a dog.

PungiFungi I will have to agree. Charleston is becoming a cookie cutter city with all the new building that don't fit in with the other structures.
Go to the Starbucks. It's really cool. And it's where you'll see the local camel toes.
Try local, like Kudos
worst city in the world
