- Want to see how to drill through ceramic to make your very own vintage china clock? This was much easier than I thought. I used a DIY clock kit from Amazon which I will link to below. This is a really fun DIY and a great way to recycle your old china plates and cups. You can get really creative with this.

Blondie is soo cute! Her tail has a personality of its own.
Yes it does, I can tell when she gets excited by her tail wags lol x
I like how there are 12 little flowers around the outer edge of the plate just like the numbers on a clock! Glad you watch the sorry girls! They are about 1 hour drive from where I live and I enjoy watching them too! ...and your clock looks beautiful and romantic!😊
I love the sorry girls, they are so inspirational x thanks for watching x x
Beautiful clock .some people buy a old clock from the thrift store and use those parts to make a new clock .Tfs

cute. I would have used the large rose for 12 o'clock myself. but very pretty. now you can make your own mini cake caddie for tea, I would go around finding all sorts of reasons to drill in china now, hahaha

Thanks so much Connie x
I just packed up my China to donate and now I am having second thoughts. You did a great job, and the plate was good because the flowers around the dish looks like they were put there to meet up with the time. 👍
Thanks so much for watching, have a lovely weekend ❤️❤️❤️ hope you make something with your China
So impressive Catherine! 🌹🌸🌹
Thanks Nicola! X
I love your rose thyme you have going on in your home really pretty.
I love my power tools!
Hey Catherine what a great idea. you're right it would make a nice gift for somebody. We can't forget Blondie so 2 cheeky thumbs up for Blondie.
A great idea, for a gift thanks for shering
Thanks Mairead, thanks for watching x x
You could even paint the hands in dark pink or green to go with the plate color. Gold and silver don't show off the cuteness of the click. Great job
Great idea to add some colour to the hands x
@@DaintyDiaries good thing you could realize I meant to say clock haha
Wonderful idea. It's gorgeous and as always you make it look easy 🙂
Thanks so much Miriam, thanks for watching x

Ah brilliant Catherine! x
You are an inspiration to us sweety, loved you clock diy. ! 😍
Loved this DIY what a lovely pattern on the plate. You found the perfect spot to display it along with your tea cups. Blondie wants to be in on the action, how sweet is she just wanting to be pampered. Great video🤗🐈🐾
Thanks so much for watching, have a lovely weekend ❤️❤️❤️
Now you can make a 2 or 3 tier stand with the other plates for tea items. You can buy the tiered cake stand hardware online to make your own. I have wanted to do that with some of my Royal Albert or Queen's dishes. I just did not want to break them. I will try the tape when I get around to it. Thank you for the tip!
Thanks Stephanie, I actually ordered the cake stand hardware, can't wait for them to come x
Love this idea, its on my my todo liat for this year. I will try in March. The clock was so charming Thank you for sharing your DIY

Thank you Catherine, I love nightmare before Christmas and collect the mugs and plates, I’ve a box of 4 plates which are a bit of an odd size, too small for dinner plates but too big for sandwiches and after watching this video I have decided to make them into clocks, mine are plastic so I’m going to have to do some research on drilling plastic as I don’t want to split it. Great idea 👌🤗 hello Blondie I’m glad your checking up on Catherine to make sure she’s doing her project the right way 😂 it wouldn’t be the same if Blondie didn’t pop up in the vlogs 😂🙀
That is lovely, and your lamp idea, cannot wait to see that come to fruition. Hugs to Blondie 💐
Thanks Polly, thanks for watching x x

Beautiful craft thanks for sharing 👏💗
Amazing really I love it 😍
Yay for power tools!! When I saw the teaser on Instagram, I thought you were going to make a wind chime with broken plates!!❤️
Now a wind chime is a good idea!
Hi Catherine
Thanks Mata ❤️❤️❤️
Haya. Another enjoyable video 'ticking' along nicely there, hehe. Sweet idea for gift giving, aawww Blondie helping out there. Thanku for sharing.
I also would love making a tea cup-lamp and I have some china saved for that (but need more) and I agree you should drill! I tried out making a really cute Anthropologie-inspired candle stick-set and they were just not stable which is not great for candlesticks. I am thinking of maybe redoing them and connect the pieces with like a metal washer or something (other suggestions welcome).
I also made a cake tier stand and I have a video about it on my channel, and I get so many questions about drilling.. it is really like you say not that hard - you just gotta be patient & have the right drill bit.
You inspired me to make one of these!I finished it last night. What fun it was! You're a big source of inspiration for me. Thank you so much.
Yay, Zoe, that is fab!
Another very pretty diy from you. Fabulous job!!! 💕💞💕💞💕💞💕
Well done yr a clever young lady x
Such a great little clock. I always wondered how it was done with out breaking the dish. TY for sharing.
Thank you lovely, thanks for watching x x
Love the clock, so pretty! I think I have some plates from our old house where we had a plate rack (we moved 14 years ago and still in a box ! 🤣) I had forgotten I bought a clock mechanism and a clock face stencil also, so I will try and prise the drill from my husband and get on with it, now you have supplied the inspiration! Thank you for your videos, with kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
Love the clock. Everything I have drilled cracks. I think I will get a drill bit like yours. Thanks for the share. Love your Kitty too.
Definitely try a tile/glass drill bit, and lots of water so it doesn't over heat x thanks for watching x
Blondie is such a sweet cat!
Aw thanks for watching! X
This would be a beautiful gift. Thank you so much!💕
