I’m sure these aren’t the first bowls you’ve made, beautiful work. Makes me want to get into my shop and get busy. Great color you chose, highlights the inside bowl beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning, before you covered up the grain. Still a wonderful piece, but I love the grain pattern better. I see I’m not the only one expressing the same either.
I agree with many who said the black paint did not work. Also I could barely see the fireworks other than the white which looked more like giant snowflakes. Maybe use glow-in-the-dark paint next time. That would have been cool with a candle inside. I get the experiment though. I’m a potter and I have many bad results to learn from. Keep creating and experimenting.
Sorry, but I'll have to go along with AllenWixson on this one. Beautifully shaped bowl to be sure, but to cover that gorgeous grain with black paint, is - in my opinion - nothing short of desecration. A lesser species with little or no grain character, sure. But this one made me cringe. Again, just my own opinion for what, if anything, it's worth.
Thanks for watching David! I like to experiment with my pieces, it keeps the videos fresh and my creativity active. Sometimes the experiment works, and other times it doesn't, I'm not so sure about this one 😅😊

It should be considered that this is a commissioned piece. Could be known it’s something that someone is looking for. Maybe it’s the worst piece laying around lol. Even if it’s none of those things art is art if you agree with it or not. Great job Harry 👍

Not really quite sure what’s going on, but you started off with a really nice big piece of wood and all I can see it is getting smaller and smaller and smaller before you do anything. Hopefully to be worth it.
What a beautiful bowl! Thank you for sharing. I love the dark color on the outside with a contrasting color inside. It's a beautiful bowl.😊

Great!
Happy New Year! I have to be honest I'm not a fan of the dark color covering up that beautiful wood grains.
Thanks for the feedback, I like to experiment, some people like it, some don't. Hopefully I'll hit the nail on the head for you next time 😊
Like the shape and even the dark outside but I think it could have been less harsh. Perhaps a worm brown ?

Happy New Year Harry 🎆 🎇✨🧨🚀 Very nice bowl. I would like to see some close ups of the firework paintings. There's alot of glare from the lights. 😊
Good job sir❤❤❤

Love the shape of the bowl, but as to the decorative painting (?) - why?

Why the black though? 🫠
Sorry but I don’t like the paint over beautiful wood.
