Got a new A770 sparkle card (driver 4953) for a ryzen 5800x on an asus B550 motherboard . Updating the motherboard BIOS and setting ASPM to L1 state, as well PCIe power in windows power settings to maximum power savings, the GPU now idles at 8-10W. The good news it's with a dual monitor set-up, 1 4k (60Hz) and 1 1080p (60Hz). Thanks for providing this very informative video.

I got a new A750 LE with driver version 101.5522 for my B760 motherbord. After updating the BIOS settings, my GPU now idles at 14-20W.. before the idle at 33-40W.. Thanks for your videos!
Intel needs to fix this with an official driver instead of telling us to use tricks and fix the multimonitor issue and high refresh issue etc. This should be a first priority for them right now before optimizing for any more games or anything like that.
Talking of gpu power consumption, I noticed my RTX3070 showing high usage and ramping up the fans whilst just watching UA-cam videos. It turns out it was because I had the new feature which enhances low res video turned on. As I usually watch in 4k I don't know why it was even running. I turned it off and everything went back to normal. Now my fans don't even run whilst UA-cam is being displayed.
the update on it is buggy a lot of people that test it, knew about the update launch ahead of time but on the date there was nothing , after one day nothing went to the site and it was there. they been fixing the game driver and bugs like the hdmi stop working funny things
You said to select L1 for PEG 0 and PEG1 but in this video you changed everything to L1, like Pci express root port 1,5,15,16,25. Should I change those to L1?
I have an msi B660 and it even has PCI express root port 26 aspm,27 till 28. I don't have PEG 0 on my motherboard, only have PEG 1 and then all that rest from root port 1 to 28.
I had a very similar issue with my RX 6600 XT. When I have my 2 monitors, 1440p@75 hz and a 1080p @60 hz. The idle power consumption is around 23 Watts, resulting to an idle GPU temp of 56 degrees C. The solution was to reduce the refresh rate to 60hz for both monitors. That brought idle consumption down to 4 W and idle temp to 42 C. Is there another fix to this? Also, before that I had to disable Ultra Low Power State (via MSI afterburner) setting as the GPU would crash my computer when going to sleep mode. Troubleshooting this card has been a nightmare. Any help on this would be helpful.

Mixed feelings about this. There is no way I could ever explain these steps to my relatives or friends who call me to help them with computer issues. That makes ARC a non starter for the general public.
to be honest most people would never even realise it was an issue unless they checked the electric bill or opened some monitoring software. I would guess that 90% of users of these cards are blissfully unaware
Do power outages damage PC hardware or it's just the storage/files/windows? Cause I've been using an avr for 3 years, had at least 30 power outage experience ,and it never killed any of my components. Now I've upgraded to a much more expensive 5600/4070 so the risk has increased. All I know is I'm well aware that I should turn off, and unplug my PC after power outages, if there's a lightning, and Low and high ac voltages.

Instad of solid 40-45 watt it started to consume around ~35 avr. Lowest watts i sow 26. But most of the time its 40-36. Hope u can help me. You mansiant discord comunity.
greetings, I have an arc a770, and on my GIGABYTE B660 AORUS MASTER DDR4 motherboard there is no way to allow ASPM controlled by the OS by setting Native ASPM to Enabled items. Enable the PCI Express ASPM root port and select the L1 substates I can find Native ASPM, PEG ASPM, PCH ASPM and DMI ASPM. For each of them, you can set the value "Disable", "Enable", "Auto". what can be done ?

Finally after half an hour of trial and error I had to enable Native Pcie Enable to Enable state.
Now I idle at 10w to 15w.

undervoltage can be as bad as over voltage for parts, but mainly outages of the power are worst for data integrity

Does ARC support variable refresh rate, if it does, then desktop at 60Hz, games at VRR may be a good compromise
