I was waiting for the Yamaha XSR 155 from 2018 but, that bike never ever yet launched in India, instead of XSR Yamaha given us the FZ-X shit........atleast Kawasaki giving us a option & I think we should respect this.................W175 is a pure Retro theme & even a slight modification will turn it to be a Cafe Racer or a Scrambler also........
Right ... I too am looking for that (xsr155)... But the one I am praying would enter Indian market is SR-400 like what kind of classic look would that bring.... But I know it won't reach Indian market and getting the bike as whole would impose import duties which would make it a junk.
Apart from the engine itself the FZ X is good! It has forward set footpeg, bikes aren't only made for young people, what would the older people ride? R15? They need comfortable bikes, there aren't much option (light, comfortable, sufficient hp/torque) the Fz X fits that criteria, apart from this others are splendor
Space for a modern retro is still wide open in the commuter segment under 1.5L. There's just FZ-X and this W175, more options will ramp up the segment creating niche products.
250cc category in this genre of bikes is yet to be tapped by manufacturers. Yezdi near missed that with their scrambler 334 cc bike which I feel is a overweighed one for the way it appears. They still can make an air cooled Scrambler 250cc and get better sales. They just stick to one formula- premium pricing, overweight, over power(overheat). Overpriced after sales for better revenue. Which fails in India.

Is that tiny rear drum brake enough to perform stopping power and keep the rider confident or you are more dependent on the front disc?
On bikes, you should always use front more. That being said, I think the rear drum is more than enough for the amount of power this bike produces lol.
