On the lathe you should never wrap the sandpaper around the part being sanded. Use a small piece from one side. Wrapping it you can end up getting sinched between the sand paper and part if it sticks and paper grabs itself and you don't let go fast enough. Not a risk worth taking. Please snd thank you
