Thank you. I seem to be following the same path. It started with my son's wedding, then moved to graduation parties, Birthday parties and a memorial service for a baby. My daughter's pastor is pushing me to give him some business cards, but I told him I lack confidence right now. My husband just had ne to register for an event planning class yesterday. After that i look forward to being a part of Luxe Academy. I want to know it all before I commit. My husband is already trying to find me a big shed for all of my stuff and a truck to move it. Lol. I guess if he thinks I can do it, I should try. Thank you for always sharing

Thanks for encouraging me. I take pictures at church, home, with family, nature just about anything anywhere. I do see myself growing in the field and now is taking a six weeks course to become familiar with my camera features. Listening to your testimony I feel empowered to continue to move forward and know that God will bless the gift He has given me. People tell me all the time I take good pictures but I want to have the knowledge to back it up. Thank You and may continue to bless your life.

I just simply adore this setting...
I love your story very similar to mines. I did all of my very large family affairs, decorated there homes, baby showers, birthdays and was always highly complimented regarding my work. I have always had a love for decro and making things beautiful but i had never thought about doing it for a living until i retired from law enforcement. So now that im onto the next chapter in my life and Thanks to my sister and family for pushing me i finally decided to go for it. So i open my own event planning business. Im still learning and growing its only been about 6 months now and my garage is full to the ceiling. So i smiled when you mentioned your....lol.... I too have taken over my garage with decor/event items I keep purchasing every time I do an event at my church and my husband tells me I have too much in the garage. I tell him I need maybe a she shed I can put my overflow of items in. I’ve had friends tell me I’ve missed my calling n should be doing this for a living but I always brush it off as I dont think I have the confidence I need to take that step so I just keep doing it for fun. Anyhow thank you for sharing. You have inspired me to have more confidence n believe I can do it. God bless you

I am a weight loss consultant In Michigan. Ive host classes where I've giving my students a Certificate of Completion in Wellness and Consultation. You are qualified and are not stepping outside of legal boundaries for giving a Certificate of Completion in your Design Academy.
Melanie, I started in Event planning also by first decorating my church auditorium and stage area and annual convention. Then a few baby showers from church also. Thank you so much for sharing. I have a certification question, in some states you are required to be a "certified event planner", where did you get your certification, and would you recommend them to others?
Thank you so much for your quick response. I was just asking because I was told in previous class that some state require certification. I'm confident in you and what you will share in your class, unfortunately, I am not able to take your class at this time. I'm hoping to be able to sign up for the next one. Until then, I'll keep watching your fabulous videos!
No problem. I wanted to double check my sources before making an absolute statement, however, I am not aware of any states that require a certification. However, there are some venues that require you be a certified/licensed professional with insurance. There are different types of coverage that we need ( I will share that in the class as well).
