    Thanks. The fun part was running fiber optic fillaments to light up the scanner stations on the upper deck. According to the box, the C57D is 1/72 scale - the assembled C57D is 27" across & mine is on a landscaped base 20"x20".

    Wow great job! I'm working on the same model. Did you treat the bottom dome with anything or is it clear? It's a little hard to tell from the video. I was thinking of using a spray-on chrome tint that's used for car head lights. I'm worried about ruining the plastic though. If you have any suggestions that would be great!

      Oh, sorry for taking so long to reply. I haven't been on UA-cam much lately (too many models to build - no time for videos). Anyway... If I remember correctly, the bottom dome (engine pod) was a clear part. I simply painted it with a single thin coat of Krylon bright / chrome silver. The light from the 'engine' LEDs simply shows right thru the paint. The area above the engine pod was primed with flat black paint to keep light from 'leaking' thru.
