1st Mistake: He killed Adam, not Alpha Sans.
2nd Mistake: It was only William, Adam, Ares, and Jacob, Delios was not a brother in fact he was more of a "guard" of sorts.
3rd Mistake: William never hated Jacob prior to him killing Alphatale, they had a decent relationship.

Error404 has not been nerfed, in fact he only gets stronger in pretty much every chapter(even if I dislike that 404 is getting stronger I have to admit he is), the reason he seems weaker is because people around him are getting much stronger much quicker.
