Aria Math is simply one of my top 3 favorite piece of music in Minecraft, it combines sadness and hope, peace and motion so well that I was shocked when I first heard it.
Minecraft has an extremely special place in my heart as I was there when version 0.30 Launched on the browser, before you could even really buy minecraft. Even as a kid I knew I stumbled upon something special so I begged my parents to buy the game for me. So now the soundtrack gives me HUGE nostalgia vibes as it has been there for a large part of my childhood. Also, another game I have fond memories of is OneShot. Not even the love I had for Undertale compared to the connection I felt with Niko right up till the end of the game, definitely something special. So, it does my heart some good to see Niko as your profile pic :)
For me it reminds me of back when I used to build giant Cobblestone cubes as houses and creative and just put a bunch of fun stuff in it I never had any idea what I was doing I was just enjoying myself and now I wish I could go back to those days and enjoy myself one last time
The End is so underrated.... When you listen to It all in one sitting with no noise you can realize that The End is a mixture of a bunch of other alpha songs... Collected into one masterpiece...
The end has a very desolate and corrupted theme. You hear bits and pieces of the normal beautiful minecraft track trying to get through to you but its being forced back and covered up by the vast desolation of the End. Hearing static and distortion as it feels like this last dimension is much more sinister and unnerving than the others in an unclear way. And it gets to the point where the white noise and static completely overwhelm it until it breaks down and you can hear the music trying its best to push through to you but it cant until a sharp shock cuts it out completely and it starts repeating on the first few notes of minecraft's beloved theme until some unknown being resets the disc.
It is the old man in a waist coat. He lives in a year unknown to mankind. He never got to experience mankind, except for his own being. He lives in a world that somewhat resembles earth, but the world has a completely unknown history.
Man, I should've informed him that Taswell is a special song that was made to dedicate to a friend of C418 who passed away in 2013 "Taswell is a farewell to a friend I only met for a little bit, but they passed away faster than anyone could have imagined. It was shocking, but I didn’t want to remember them for their death, but the happiness they showed every day of their life." -C418 Taswell starts off as a track of echoing, ethereal music and high-pitched beeping with odd static-like periods in between. It suddenly becomes an upbeat, catchy song with steady drum beats. Later it turns into an electronic track with the middle song in the background. It starts playing quieter static-like periods at the end
I had no idea! I've enjoyed this track so much in creative mode and now any time I hear it my thoughts will be with them. Thanks for sharing, it gives the track so much more meaning and value. :)
I freaking love "Dead Voxel" track. First heard it in the Nether update while going through soul sand valleys that is creepy silent by themselves already, and that was very atmospheric.
This definitely is the most meaningful soundtrack to me, I remember hearing all of these on the xbox 360 edition menu, in creative mode, in the nether, it was always there in the background but I never thought about them until recently. about a year and a half ago, i started listening to these all again. The first time I heard The End music, I was building an enderman farm in the end, when all of the sudden I heard a glitchy sounding minecraft at the start, I was like wtf is this. I actually kinda freaked out cause I had no idea this was a thing. I sat and let it play out. The slowed Sweden part is possibly the greatest piece of music I have ever heard, it just sends me on a journey through all my minecraft memories. The End is by far my favorite track, just because of that section.
yesss, more love for The End as a song!!! it's not my favorite but wow it's just so musically creative and ambient. it's just an amazing track, one of the best from the minecraft ost.
YES "The End" is such a great piece. The way all of your memories and nostalgia can get swirled together in this corrupted heap of motifs and melodies, only to be swallowed by the sound of the void...The way "Sweden" is the only one that can escape, only for it too to be taken over after a time...The way the record player sounds pull you from the depths and paint an image of a person going "dang it, the disc is broken :(" and removing the record...It's just a beautiful fit for the End dimension
I used to play on the 360 all the time and when the creative music came out I just flew around listening to it but before that when there was only survival mode my favorite song was Mice on Venus
Why is nobody talking about the last soundtrack called "Intro"? I think is one of the best unreleased minecraft songs. The fact that is the only soundtrack where we can hear human voices makes it so human.
7:41 An epic orchestral climax with a sad piano conclusion. So majestic and beautiful, almost looks like Dan is about to shed a tear... **S N E E Z E**
1:40:36 people have compared The End song to EATEOT, when I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to symbolise the opposite, it’s almost like a callback to all of your Minecraft memories after you have defeated the (kind of) final boss, but then again Minecraft can keep going, so The End song is almost like a new beginning in a way.
blind spots shows it is beyond ambience, it is a journey. a ride. its insane, consider the transition. the reentry of melody, everything the same. then the second time, a question. perfect.
every song utilizes a call and response on so many layers its beyond amazing, mostly because everyone knows call and response in music is great but performing it over simple progressions utilized in decisive ways. its like every note feels memorable.
I absolutely love Taswell. It just gives me the feeling of flying through a vibrant and colorful galaxy with endless exploration and beautiful worlds. It feels like im jumping from rock to rock on Saturn's rings from the way the second part starts up and the way it ends feels like i just witnessed a star explode. It really gives a magical and ethereal feeling.
Every time when i was playing minecraft and taswell start to playing im Just set my camera up to sky and laying down at chair, and i was know that the next 2 minutes will be magnificent
Another commenter shared how Taswell was composed as a farewell to one of C418's friends who sadly passed away in 2013. I think that's beautiful, and gives so much meaning to the piece.
@@MGSLurmey yes the first ambient and silent part of the track is related to sadness and grief of loosing someone but the next half the cheerful half is a reference to moving on and enjoying life to its fullest
Im damn certain that one of the main reasons that Minecraft has remained so popular for so long is the iconic music. This music puts my soul at peace whenever i listen to it, and making that the background track for a game about exploration and survival is absolutely perfect to me.
Honestly, can we just appreciate the End and Alpha for a second? Alpha is a great 10 minute mash-up of a few different songs from volume alpha. And the End is a masterpiece because of the motifs. You can hear many of the games songs slowed down and distorted until you get to the Sweden and Minecraft bit where it just hits hard. It also could have some major lore implications just from the music of the overworld happening in the End, just distorted. Could this represent the Ender men being from the overworld and just being distorted?
there's a theory, saying that enderman is actually a steve's race, just infested by endermites it is pretty dark and creepy but a lot of in-game facts are actually proving it
This video is me crying for 2 hours for unknown reasons my mind won't ever be able to tell me, not tears of joy nor sadness or grief. This OST has been part of my life since I got myself into this beauty of a masterpiece that is MC.
The soundtrack works so well because you associate each song with a cirtain memory from the game ranging from you building something in singleplayer having the time of your life to you watching a minecraft youtuber that is realy special to you.
2:06:48 I have ALWAYS been wondering what C418 was doing here but could never figure it out. Thank you so much I have had this question bouncing around in the back of my head for the best part of a decade. I absolutely adore these reactions and have as a result learned so much about the music tracks because of your experience and ability to tell what's going on in them. Def got a sub from me :)
OST recommendations for next year: Ori and The Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps - Gorgeous music by Gareth Coker, who you've heard before as he composed some of Halo Infinite's music. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown - Incredible, groovy and at times soaring epic music with an insanely powerful main motif appearing throughout, even not having played the game it's one of those OST's you just can't ignore. Portal 2 - A soundtrack that gets slept on, really unique textures and "instrumentation" if you can call it that. A combination of computery beep boop synths, sliding mechanical noises and orchestra create a truly unique sound for this OST that you don't get anywhere else. It's wonderfully put together and knows how to have fun. Plants Vs Zombies: Absolute classic game by Pop Cap with an extremely charming score, anyone who played it as a kid still has these melodies stuck in their head. Composed by Laura Shigihara, who you've heard before as the singer for that one Deltarune song with lyrics. You do get to hear her voice once again in this OST, and it's a lot of fun. If you haven't heard it, it would be great to see your reaction to the track with vocals, I think you'd be a fan haha. [If you're a fellow commenter reading this and agreeing with one of these, maybe leave a reply to specify which ones you're also interested in. It would help Dan to gauge interest.]
the music of pvz is incredible but only the first game since pvz 2 was not composed by Laura Shigihara (except for the music of ancient Egypt and the pirate seas removed) this was EA's fault since she did not want it the game is to pay to win and that's why I abandon the project, you can listen to his music in Deltarune and in super meat boy (console version, since on pc the music is the original).
Man I love Ace Combat 7’s soundtrack so much it’s so heroic and heavy and powerful. The bits of electronic elements are so well placed and every track has such a groovy moment and a sense of adrenaline throughout.
I absolutely LOVE stal. The recorder solo gives it all a sense of puniness and i love how the song is pretty much just making fun of jazz music, with the completely random piano riffs and sick upright bassline.
the fact that he figured out that dead voxel plays while you're in the nether just comes to show how amazingly well c418 conveys ambiance and mood throughout his work
the minor inflection at 23:04 will always fascinate me as a foreshadowing of the abrupt yet fitting transition from the comfort of pattern to a questioning vibe of call and response
Honestly, Minecraft music is so incredibly interesting in how they all have similar sounds as a whole, but it's something entirely different when you listen to them individually. It's almost as if these songs are its own genre. It's so so cool, I loved that you reviewed these songs, and showed off just how amazing they are.💕💕
That song alpha was amazing, it’s the credits theme from Minecraft, and takes motifs from the track Minecraft, subwoofer lullaby, and Sweden, the 3 probably best Minecraft tracks. And they’re all songs from volume alpha like it’s named- absolutely amazing
The absolute volume of stank faces were honestly deserved. You don't realize how hard most of these songs go until you see someone else react to them. Even the calm ones
Something really interesting about the song Warmth at 57:07 is that while it IS a pick being dragged across a guitar string, it can also be used to represent how radioactive and unstable the nether is, especially since you can also occasionally hear a geiger counter in the basalt deltas.
I would 100% recommend The Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 soundtracks. They are both Beautifully composed soundtracks that really strike you with feeling and immerse you into the setting as a whole capturing the sense of the galaxy in several different genres the music. Just a suggestion.
I’ve played a lot of games over the years, but Alpha is the only song from any of them that made me cry (also in part due to the “credits” of the game). Love hearing someone else experience this soundtrack for the first time!
This soundtrack is truly amazing and I thank you so much for reacting to this! I don't want to add to the piling list of recommendations, but the other albums in the minecraft soundtrack are as high up as these, with three seperate tracks Shuniji/Dragonfish/Axolotl done by the same composer C418, (for the underwater enviroment) and the Nether Update Soundtrack (done by another composer, Lena Raine) and finally the Caves and Cliffs update soundtrack (Done by Lena and I believe one other composer), which adds music for the title screen and for the mountain and cave enviroments. Love your content, subscribed. Keep it up!
i've been listening to these minecraft reactions while developing my game (good background noise to keep me focused), and when intro came i just had to stop working and soak in the song with you and the stream chat, even if i wasn't there for it live. such a good song.
I used to hate The End, partially for being too long. Once I heard it in higher quality and heard all the minor details my curiosity peaked. What does it actually say about minecraft though? Feels like the song 'struggles' against itself
I definitely see what you mean by struggle. It sounds like a song in it's last hours reminiscing over its life... I guess that is why it's called the end?
The way I always interpreted "The End" is like this: 1:40:50 the song starts with a far sounding and distorted version of "Minecraft", meant to represent a long lost but still vivid memory. 1:41:45 The music than distorts so much to reveal a sad and dark sounding theme, the sudden realization that it's been years since you have been stuck in the End, and the only thing that is left from the overworld is the memory of a single song which is also fading away overtime. 1:42:40 A long part of background sound anticipating the next part. 1:43:40 This second part also has a mystic sound to it which to me speaks the vastity and mystic view that is the End. 1:45:13 Then a melody start playing, a light of hope shining through the misery of the End. 1:48:53 The music keeps building up, there might really be a way out of here. 1:48:41 Swedan stars playing, you're already imagining the feeling of being in the overworld again. 1:50:21 Everything stops, the music slowing fades away as you've failed to escape the End. 1:51:05 The static background noise returns bringing with it the sadness that you felt at the start, you are slowly fading into unconsciousness. 1:52:24 This is it, you have but a couple of moments left. 1:52:32 You begin hearing "Minecraft" again, but unfortunately, it's only a couple of notes, you wish you could hear it better one last time. 1:53:23 The notes stop, you are sinking into the eternal sleep. 1:55:02 .................. 1:55:08 One last time, thank you. 1:55:18 ........................................................................................
Artistically, I would say this is the best song in Minecraft. It might not be pleasant to listen to, but there is no comparing to the sheer number and intensity of the emotions it provokes
Flake and Kyoto was one of the best one so far in this video, The nostalgia while I played minecraft in 2015 Christmas Mashup, God I love the textures, it makes me so emotional, sadly I dont have bedrock anymore, wish I played it again.
His face as Dead Voxel starts up, a little scared, a little wary... and then when it takes a melodic turn, _curiosity._ Wonderful parallel to entering the nether for the first time, where most are cautious of dangers they don't know how to effectively avoid yet, before learning and exploring.
Aria Math is my favorite song from Minecraft. It connected to me when I first heard it when I was 10 years old and when I got back to the song, I dropped tears. It's just sooo good and melancholic
Moog City 2 is so good, the Piano makes it. I also adore the end theme and Alpha, they are my three favourites. They’re so powerful in progression and really build out a vibe in your head. The End theme is so clever, it’s like a Minecraft version of Everywhere at the end of time, you can hear all the previous songs in it, including Haagstrom, Sweden, Minecraft, Mice on Venus, Cat, Dry Hands, Wet Hands and Subwoofer lullaby.
One of the things I love about the title songs in Minecraft is that, except for Floating Trees, Moog City 2, Beginning 2, and Mutation are all modified versions of the original title tracks from the Beta version of the game. My theory is that when you first played Minecraft as a child, the title opening songs excited you to play the game and create, destroy, and build things. However, as you get older, the game slowly upgrades, and you hear the modified title songs; you recognize that the game has changed significantly since you first played it, but you still carry on the excitement you had as a kid.
Dead Voxel is such an underrated piece. It starts off dark, then turns to a somber piece, slowly progressing into a higher energy, climaxing, then finishing off nice and mellow.
What a way to end 2021 (this being your last livestream for this year), I cannot wait for you to react to more soundtracks. I heavily recommend you listen to more of C418's stuff in your free time, his other albums outside of Minecraft are heavily underrated!
This has been my favourite video for a while. Seeing you react and give your opinions on Volume Beta (which is my favourite OST from Minecraft) is just super interesting to me and really informative too!!! I often pay attention to your reactions but sometimes it’s even just nice to have this on as a kind of background ambience when I’m studying I play the piano and I’ve been learning Dead Voxel, Intro, and Kyoto!
Intro reminds us that everything ends and it's always sad. But everything begins again too, and that's always happy. Be happy. And Stal. Stal just reminds us to have fun.
27:51 He was deliberate with adding more complexity, as he says on his website. And yes, he has created amazing albums before beta came out, or even alpha (e.g. Life Changing Moments Seem Minor in Pictures and 72 Minutes of Fame)
Taswell, Haunt Mauskie, Blind Spots and Dreiton are simply some of the hated ones since the favourite here is "Aria Math" But of each song everything is a master piece
Something interesting to note, “Ballad of the Cats” is named as such because the sounds the Ghasts make use various cat noises, that have been distorted and warped. Ballad of the Cats is the theme of Ghasts.
Once Taswell comes on I'm a disaster. Creative mode was my jam coming home from school. It really takes me back when things were a lot simpler as a child.
I would like to recommend the Ultrakill soundtrack, it's still in early access but we have the entire soundtrack for act 1. If you like amen breaks, this is the soundtrack for you
'Alpha' plays when you beat the boss(Ender dragon) and see the ending. You should hear this song with ending credits. It will make song more meaningful.
Haven't really seen anyone mention these but the Console Editions of Minecraft have a very interesting history with unused tracks. Kyoto and Flake were used as the Overworld tracks in an official DLC for the Console Editions of the game. It's called the Festive Mash-Up Pack and was a Christmas and winter themed texture pack and skin pack. Personally I think they're really interesting picks for such a pack. Kyoto has a warm and comforting tone, and while it wasn't written with a winter context, it's hard for me to imagine it otherwise now and obviously Flake fits pretty well. As far as I'm aware this was the only time C418's unused tracks were recycled for other projects with the game. The Nether did not have music until November 2013, but the previously unused 4 Nether tracks officially debuted in the Xbox 360 Edition in the Title Update 9 update, in April 2013. These tracks are Dead Voxel, Concrete Halls, Warmth, and Ballad of the Cats. And finally, this one's the most interesting to me, Dog plays, almost seamlessly, at the end of Cat in the Console Editions, as they are heard when listening to the Alpha album. It's just weird to me that they decided to do this on one version of the game only. Anyway, that's all I've got to share. Hopefully you've found this interesting. (: *Correction! (February 19th 2024) Only two of the nether tracks were added in TU9, Concrete Halls and Dead Voxel. The other two were added in a later update (likely TU13)
Thanks for the reaction, I'm glad you got to experience this wonderful album. In the future I'd love to hear you react to the OST of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, a large series where despite the composer frequently changing hands game to game, it retains an impressive standard of quality and cohesiveness. I'm especially interested in hearing your reaction to one of the songs from the second game (actually a pair of songs) with one of the craziest time signatures I've heard in video game music!
My favorite video game soundtrack ever. When you load up a new survival (or hardcore, if you're like me) world, the tracks Ki and Alpha tell that you have a long journey ahead of you, and you're going to accomplish so much. Along the way, you discover music discs such as Stal, Eleven, Ward, or Cat. You venture through the nether, where with tracks like Concrete Halls and Warmth, you can tell it's a vast, treacherous dimension, littered with ancient buildings and creatures' faces you'll never forget. Discs 11 and 13 found in the overworld tell a dark past of a lost traveler. Just after you enter the long-awaited End, you hope with all your heart that the sunlight you saw a few moments ago won't be the last to enter your vision. While destroying end crystal after end crystal atop the obsidian towers, you remember all the times you've spent in this world, your life flashing before your eyes. As if you're going to die. You begin to stab the infamous Ender Dragon, but you get flung into the air by its powerful wings. Everything goes quiet while you soar through the air. You remember one last memory. After you slash it one last time, when the dragon defeatedly, mystically floats into the air, you know you've done it. Your quest is complete, and you when step through the starry portal, you're brought back to the beginning. You put in a music disc, and as it plays, it emphasizes that one journey is over, and another has begun. And with Intro, you realize that as long this world exists, *its* journey will never end. *Its* legacy might continue on while you never stop creating more things, and through all the joy, sorrow, and rage, *your* journey becomes a legend.
so many recommendations! i'm not going to add any to your list haha. it's really nice to just listen to these on their own for their full length, you really appreciate them a lot more
this is by far my all time favorite video game soundtrack album. ever. I just dont know how to describe it. maybe its because I played the game way too much and was obsessed with these songs for a long time but its nostalgic and hopful to me. this album has a story and to me the story seems clear, and maybe different for everyone depending on how their personal ups and downs have been. imo this is more than a video game sound track. its so emotional. it describes theee emotions i can't put into words, like a far away feeling. C418 has incredible talent, and these sound tracks are some of his best work I wouldn't be lying if I said this album helped me through alot too haha

It kinda feels like the innocent spirit of minecraft itself is trying to speak to you behind the End's corrupted and distorted walls.
It feels like a clash of 'pessimism' vs 'optimism' and the stronger feeling is pretty clear

Man, I should've informed him that Taswell is a special song that was made to dedicate to a friend of C418 who passed away in 2013
"Taswell is a farewell to a friend I only met for a little bit, but they passed away faster than anyone could have imagined. It was shocking, but I didn’t want to remember them for their death, but the happiness they showed every day of their life."
-C418
Taswell starts off as a track of echoing, ethereal music and high-pitched beeping with odd static-like periods in between.
I didn't know either. Now I'll feel a bit more empathetic every time I hear this.

I love dead voxel, it's so hauntingly beautiful.
Why is nobody talking about the last soundtrack called "Intro"? I think is one of the best unreleased minecraft songs. The fact that is the only soundtrack where we can hear human voices makes it so human.
its probably one of if not my favorite song of all time.
Wholeheartedly agree.
Makes me tear up tbh, love it😢❤
No clue Cos it's perfect
7:41 An epic orchestral climax with a sad piano conclusion. So majestic and beautiful, almost looks like Dan is about to shed a tear...

The Real reason he was gonna cry.
Yes
"The End" always gives me shivers, its truly a mystery that theme is
Taswell and Aria Math are so good, one of the best music in the game imo.
1:40:36 people have compared The End song to EATEOT, when I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to symbolise the opposite, it’s almost like a callback to all of your Minecraft memories after you have defeated the (kind of) final boss, but then again Minecraft can keep going, so The End song is almost like a new beginning in a way.
blind spots shows it is beyond ambience, it is a journey. a ride. its insane, consider the transition. the reentry of melody, everything the same. then the second time, a question. perfect.
every song utilizes a call and response on so many layers its beyond amazing, mostly because everyone knows call and response in music is great but performing it over simple progressions utilized in decisive ways. its like every note feels memorable.
c418 has played with time in about a quarter of the songs its just hard for most to notice.
@@fokafolori YES
Could this represent the Ender men being from the overworld and just being distorted?
there's a theory, saying that enderman is actually a steve's race, just infested by endermites
it is pretty dark and creepy but a lot of in-game facts are actually proving it
Yep! Nothing like a few parasitic bugs to finish up a kid's game
The End it's so good
@@gabrielalejandrodoldan4722it's very cinematic
I love ‘the end’. I love how it takes a lot of the other songs and distorts them to give off the otherworldly vibe.
This video is me crying for 2 hours for unknown reasons my mind won't ever be able to tell me, not tears of joy nor sadness or grief. This OST has been part of my life since I got myself into this beauty of a masterpiece that is MC.
The End on its own is just such a beautiful track that I have to hold back some tears
OST recommendations for next year:
Ori and The Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps - Gorgeous music by Gareth Coker, who you've heard before as he composed some of Halo Infinite's music.
Pvz definitely
portal 2 and pvz would be awesome
the music of pvz is incredible but only the first game since pvz 2 was not composed by Laura Shigihara (except for the music of ancient Egypt and the pirate seas removed) this was EA's fault since she did not want it the game is to pay to win and that's why I abandon the project, you can listen to his music in Deltarune and in super meat boy (console version, since on pc the music is the original).
Man I love Ace Combat 7’s soundtrack so much it’s so heroic and heavy and powerful. The bits of electronic elements are so well placed and every track has such a groovy moment and a sense of adrenaline throughout.
I’d love to hear his reaction the the music of portal, portal 2, Lego Dimensions: Portal, PvZ, and PvZ 2!
3:05 so this one is the credits theme. It’s meant to be heard after The End, kinda sad that it was placed so early
ikr??? personally on my minecraft ost playlist I had it as the second last track.
Usually in an album the song that teases or encompasses the whole album is one of the first played. An opening kinda like an overture.
I didn't realize that the Alpha song had so much reference to the Volume Alpha, you can hear so many melodies from the Volume Alpha
Why is nobody talking about Dreiton, that song goes hard
My spotify wrapped said i listened to it 10,500 times.
Blind spots
Taswell
Dreiton and aria math are my favourite
It's remarkable how many of C418s tracks come out of nowhere, and go back into nowhere.
**me bombing a village full of innocent villagers**
c418 in the back: 1:7:04
Honestly, Minecraft music is so incredibly interesting in how they all have similar sounds as a whole, but it's something entirely different when you listen to them individually.
Just a suggestion.
yes definitely worth it.

god i love taswell. simplest way i can put it is that for me it’s a nostalgic rollercoaster of emotions all at once
i dont know how to describe how emotional taswell makes me feel, its actually a perfect song
@@dez-m Damn, now that you say it. It really reminds me of the Stage 6 Album of Everywhere At The End Of Time by The Caretaker
@@dez-m I mean it's called the end because it plays in the dimension known as "the End".
jesus, listening to the soundtrack just by itself with this much detail is bone chilling how much effort went into this silly block game
I love Taswell
Taswell🔥❤️
Alpha is my favourite so far, what makes it better is I love orchestral music so much
Flake and Kyoto was one of the best one so far in this video, The nostalgia while I played minecraft in 2015 Christmas Mashup, God I love the textures, it makes me so emotional, sadly I dont have bedrock anymore, wish I played it again.
His face as Dead Voxel starts up, a little scared, a little wary... and then when it takes a melodic turn, _curiosity._ Wonderful parallel to entering the nether for the first time, where most are cautious of dangers they don't know how to effectively avoid yet, before learning and exploring.
The End is an absolutely incredible track
It’s a masterpiece.
intro is my personal favourite song from the album, im so sad it was never implemented
Personally, one of my favorites that I heard a lot was Taswell, it still makes me feel so, happy and at peace
The track "The end" - C418 just made the portal to minecraft to record the end sounds.
Alpha is played after you beat the ender dragon, i think its fitting because Alpha sounds like a story
I'm telling people Minecraft music talks without words
Aria Math?
@@darkmemess_2911 Aria Math is great, but it isn't in my top three.
@@custommediacreations Alright.
What's the original version of mutation called?

Dead Voxel is such an underrated piece. It starts off dark, then turns to a somber piece, slowly progressing into a higher energy, climaxing, then finishing off nice and mellow.
What a way to end 2021 (this being your last livestream for this year), I cannot wait for you to react to more soundtracks. I heavily recommend you listen to more of C418's stuff in your free time, his other albums outside of Minecraft are heavily underrated!

Intro doesn’t play anywhere in the game yet it’s my favorite Minecraft song. It’s the only one we hear C418, a.k.a. Daniel Rosenfeld’s, actual voice
I used to turn my TV volume up at the end of Taswell to hear the ending notes
This has been my favourite video for a while. Seeing you react and give your opinions on Volume Beta (which is my favourite OST from Minecraft) is just super interesting to me and really informative too!!! I often pay attention to your reactions but sometimes it’s even just nice to have this on as a kind of background ambience when I’m studying
I play the piano and I’ve been learning Dead Voxel, Intro, and Kyoto!
Intro reminds us that everything ends and it's always sad. But everything begins again too, and that's always happy. Be happy.
And Stal. Stal just reminds us to have fun.

He was deliberate with adding more complexity, as he says on his website.
Never understood the hate for Blind Spots.. It’s honestly one of my favourites lol
@@TheDrumstickEmpire They dont have a taste of good music like blind spots tbh Aria Math is probably my mid or least
Something interesting to note, “Ballad of the Cats” is named as such because the sounds the Ghasts make use various cat noises, that have been distorted and warped.
Ballad of the Cats is the theme of Ghasts.
The ghast sound effects in game are sounds of C418’s cat which have been distorted, hence why the ghast theme is called “Ballad of the Cats”.

Once Taswell comes on I'm a disaster. Creative mode was my jam coming home from school. It really takes me back when things were a lot simpler as a child.
One of my best comfort playlists.
It will make song more meaningful.
the nether tracks are my favourite tracks by far
*Correction! (February 19th 2024)
Only two of the nether tracks were added in TU9, Concrete Halls and Dead Voxel.

I like how alpha starts with key and beta starts with ki
14:47 this is giving me all of the minecraft nether nolstalga all at once, such a great emotionally driven song.
"It's just a silly little cube game for children"
The game:

C418 has incredible talent, and these sound tracks are some of his best work
I wouldn't be lying if I said this album helped me through alot too haha
