    Came to this video via trying a fix for my 407 coupe ASB and airbag sensors. Don't even own a 406 anymore but absolutely mesmerised by the almost full teardown of the cabin. Outstanding skills and knowledge.

    What a mess. Very few would be those who would venture to do this service. Nowadays, few people know and want to work. Good work.👏👏I have a 308 with a noise, like a creak, a groan, as I turn the steering wheel after it's hot on the side of the hydraulic pump. It only happens when it's hot and after being in the sun. I suspect the shock absorver support. But nobody wants to move. They say to let it go until it makes more noise. Either they don't know and are in doubt or they don't want to work.😞

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  3 роки тому

      The noise in your 308
      Can you jack front both front wheels up and see if the strut tops are turning freely or if the spring is binding in any way, listen for any odd noises.
      The fact it happens only when hot is odd, the hydraulic fluid reservoir for the steering may need to be checked.

      Every time i get back into one it feels like home haha. Still have my old 2.0 HDi exective which i would love to tidy up some time in the future. Actually did a swap recenlty the 407 in exchange for a phase 1 2.1 TD lovely old wagon so comfortable.
      SE was a really nice run out spec for the 406, some nice bits of trim from the chromed door handles to the shiny mirror surrounds. how many miles are on it?

    Good day, I cleaned the throttle body of my peugeot 307 petrol vehicle before, but there was a problem, the idling in lpg rises by itself, 1500 rpm comes on its own, it happens when it is idle, it does not happen with gasoline, it gradually decreases when the throttle is pressed, is it necessary to adapt to the throttle body? Thank you for the information you provide.

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there,
      I am not 100% sure when it comes to LPG related issues you have another fuel injection system generally piggybacking from signals used by the petrol injection system. You may need to take it to whoever services the LPG system near you or do some more research into the company that supplied it, see if they have service guides or manuals to follow. My dad and uncle drove LPG cars up until 10 years ago but i did not work on them much.

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  3 роки тому

      I dont honestly know, did it more so as a favour for a mate, itemised this at £100 to cover the time and cleaning products which wouldn’t really cover my time.
      The cars total repairs to get it back on the road including my time for other work and a full set of new tyres is sitting at £1400 that includes a full service, cambelt, new disks/pads all round, exhaust flexi repair turbo was also removed to free it up the actuator was sticky from it sitting.

      @@vikt1986 From the video it almost sounds like the bottom end of the engine has a knock in it, although in general the TU engines are quite resilient, is there any issues with the head gasket oil getting into the coolant or vise versa? On the plus side they are quite a cheap engine to get and fairly easy to swap

    Так в чем причина воды в салоне!?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  2 роки тому +1

      The water was leaking in due to two factors:
      - blocked sunroof drains
      - damaged evaporation barrier on the rear left door was letting in water
      Those two factors combined with it sitting idle outside for over 5 years led to the water getting in and sitting

      I dealt with those issues off camera mainly because i have separate videos covering the sunroof drains and the rear door card/evaporation barrier if you are interested.
      This car is now back on the road and has remained dry inside.
