ഇതിൽ പറഞ്ഞ മിക്ക കാര്യങ്ങളും എനിക്ക് നേരത്തെ അറിയാമായിരുന്നു. എങ്കിലും skip ചെയ്യാതെ വീഡിയോ കണ്ടു - അത്രക്കും interesting ആയിരുന്നു conversation. എന്റെ കാറിന്റെ stock tyre 10000 കിലോമീറ്ററിൽ തേഞ്ഞു തീർന്നപ്പോഴാണ് ടയറിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കൂടുതൽ പഠിച്ചത്. പുതിയ ടയർ ഇട്ടതിനു ശേഷം കൃത്യമായ ഇടവേളകളിൽ wheel alignment, tyre rotation , balancing ഇവ ചെയ്തു വരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ 40000 കിലോമീറ്റർ ആയി - ടയറിന് കാര്യമായ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഒന്നുമില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ലോങ് ട്രിപ്പ് ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ആണ് ആദ്യമായി നൈട്രജൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ചത്. നല്ല വശങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അതു സ്ഥിരമാക്കി. Tyre manufacturing date ടയറിൽ ഉള്ള കാര്യം അറിഞ്ഞത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ safety dept അയച്ചു തന്ന ഒരു tyre guide ൽ നിന്നായിരുന്നു. ടയർ എപ്പോഴാണ് മാറ്റേണ്ടത് എന്നും അതിൽ നിന്നറിഞ്ഞു.

Me too know the tyre manufacturing week and year information from one of my friend, and i always share this point to most of the car loving friends.
My Ritz Zdi 2014 model completed 1.6 lac today, Michelin tyre gives me 1.25 lac mileage, and comfort. I am doing exactly Mr Kiran explained, - doing alignment every 5000km, and balancing every 10,000km. Which will give surely the results👍🏻👍🏻
It is really amazing. I met Kiran one year back. He offered me the lowest price for the Continental tyres for my Seltos. He was very simple and humble. He offered me tea and snacks. Sarikkum nalla oru manushan. Tyre upsize cheyyan koodi aanu njan chennathu. But advised me the right thing which saved my money. Oru nalla experience aayirunnu.

1. regarding bald tyres providing better grip in summer! Formula1 tyres are made from super soft rubber compound and literally shred itself in every lap and barely lasts few laps!! You cant compare formula1 circuits to Indian roads either!!
2. Regarding Nitrogen gas.. its better to check tyre pressure every few weeks than not checking it for 6 months in the false hope it’s properly inflated 😂
3. Steel wheels are anyday better than alloy when it comes to reliability.. because steel bends and can be repaired while alloy shatters in to pieces!!!

After seeing this video, I called up Mr Kiran to check on my options for upsizing the tyres on my Rapid. He confirmed his availability and I went and met him directly. After checking about my driving style, Highway/City use, he has suggested the tyres to go for (upsize), with logical reasoning. He really spent a good time explaining various aspects. He is a very patient listener and answered all questions. I am very happy with the service. He quoted Rs. 1000 less for one tyre compared to what was offered in my place, I certainly recommend this place!

There is an error in 37:17, might be addressing the scenario in Ind. There are lots of car manufactures coming with puncture liquid even ford, dodge and so on. 12 years back i have seen in puncture liquid in brand new Dodge. Mine is a Ford galaxy 7 seater which came with puncture liquid from the manufactures.Company won't provide any spare tyre. I have used puncture liquid for my other cars but it's absolutely crap. You can see the disgusting smell and water inside when you change tyres.

Overall very informative video and well explained. Kudos to the tyre shop owner too. However, 2 things mentioned are wrong in this video- Alloy wheels bend much more easily than steel rims ( one of the reasons why off-road vehicles don't use alloys). 2. For normal use in city and moderate highway runs using nitrogen air has no major benefits compared to the cost incurred. Fact is a lot of places that fill nitrogen has no means to ensure its pure nitrogen in the first place defeating the purpose of maintaining pressure. If you are ok to check your air pressure once in 45 days, normal air is more than sufficient. Nitrogen is primarily used in professional racing to prevent tyre bursts with increase in temperature. These are speeds which normal cars cant even hit consistently on our roads.
Your first point is not true. Alloys NEVER bent, but it breaks. That's why off-roaders use steel rims so that they can correct them. You have no choice but to replace a broken alloy wheel.
Also I was surprised Kiran did not mention that alloy wheels don't need much maintenance in terms of cleaning, but rimmed wheels rust easily if you don't clean them regularly. This was the first thing I noticed when I changed from a steel- to an alloy-wheeled bike.
Alloys crack. they never bent . steel wheels bend and it can be fixed to an extent

I'm always concern about the manufacturing date whenever buying a tire. Because I'm working as technical engineering in Pirelli tires for the past 11 years.
During the summer season, a completely worn-out tire never gives more comfort or safety than a grip tire. Yes, Formula 1 tires have no grip and it is completely made of natural rubber to increase the rolling resistance but is working on a synthetic circuit.
I have checked the dates when I bought mine , cause I changed it at Tyrex , Kiran explained really well about the product I was buying . Great service
